Tech came out and gave me the talk about how repairing chip could make things worse. It cost $186. But the Tech was professional and courteous. And the star completely disappeared. Got a very small star from another rock on the way home. Went to ASAP. Girl at counter was biting into her breakfast burrito when I walked in even though she could see me walking up to the building. No greeting. Not a welcoming place. After 15 minutes, a guy in dirty coveralls brings in my fob. The very small star is now very visible. Area is rough with a crater. And I can see small rays radiating from the defect. I think I could do a better job with a kit from Walmart. You get what you pay for.

I Waited three hours in the lobby because the new glass windshield was not the correct size, for my vehicle. The wait was not the issue here, after staying past there closing hours on the way home there was a lot of outside hair coming into my vehicle from the bottom of my windshield . I called the business the next day, I was told to bring my vehicle in again to see what the issue was. I took off work and went in again. I wanted to replace the glass because this is a hazard, they were not willing to do that. They globbed more black window glue from where the hole was and sent me on my way. On the way home again there was still wind and air coming in my vehicle. I called the business again and explained my concerns about the hazards, I was told to come in again and I took off work for the 2nd time to correct their mistake. Today after the service I see where they put a large amount black glue to cover up the hole from where the window was not installed properly again. The rain and water damage that is most likely in my vehicles dash and vents is going to cost more than what I saved coming here. I posted pictures of the amount of times I had to return along with their messy work. Under the plastics there is globs of black adhesive.

Said the plate glass door was out of alignment, and that I had to buy a new hinge....about $400 as I recall. STILL didn't close properly. When I complained, and said that I felt ignored, the lady on the phone, I presume the owner, said I'd "...personally insulted her, that she had a Masters degree, and raised three great kids." Finally she dispatched two NEW guys, who diagnosed the problem as not the door, but the abutting piece of glass. I called her back trying to schedule yet another visit to finally fix it, and she never returned my call. I called another company who fixed it in about thirty minutes, and refused payment! Over the years I have had six windshields replaced from Safelite and have been happy with the…read moreservice. However, now that I am trying to get the seventh windshield through them my experience has been absolutely horrible. I recently bought a 2026 outback and three days after I bought the car, a rock hit my windshield and it started to crack after contacting my insurance company and Safelite. I scheduled a replacement. I got an email and a text message from Safelite telling me that my windshield had not come in yet and they canceled the appointment about a week later I called and was told the windshield was in and they rescheduled me. I brought the vehicle in only to find out that the windshield was not there. I have tried calling them numerous times and they have this new AI scheduling thing. Will you never get to speak to a person I've had to drive over to their location clear across town and inquire about the windshield in person in order to get any response. The last time I was there I was given a card for one of the managers and told I could use that number to contact. I have tried calling this number several times and never gotten an answer or the courtesy of a returned. Phone call in spite of having left messages. To be clear, I am not upset with Safelite for the windshield not being available. Apparently Subaru has this windshield back ordered so this is not safe. Life's fault. What I do fault safely with is their new set up where you can't speak to anybody about your appointment. As a result, I have gone to have my windshield installed twice only to find out is the windshield is not there nor can I call and verify that it's there before I go and show up as I have already started the insurance claim with Safelite, I feel kind of stuck with them for this windshield replacement, but I will never use them again.
