During a cross-country road trip through Albuquerque, an ... enterprising .... fellow decided to break the rear window in our SUV and help himself to a bag of dog food and dog treats. We were recommended to talk to Auto Glass and they were super helpful in working with our car manufacturer to figure out how to get a replacement window. Unfortunately it seemed getting the glass would take too long for the manufacturer (10-14 days!!!!) so we were instead routed to their service center in Dallas. Auto Glass - at no charge (!!!) - knocked out the remaining glass, cleaned out the trunk of all the loose glass shards and patched us up temporarily so we could drive the car. They were great when they came out and put in the window. Then weeks later my rear view mirror starts to fail, falls, flops, seems to be coming off of the runner. I notified my insurance company, they contacted them and then they contacted me but said they couldn't get out till next week. I can't drive without a rearview mirror. That would be not only illegal but extremely unsafe. So now I have to drive my 26-year-old van for however long it takes them to get out here. I think they should warranty their work and I think those who have problems with their work, should be on their priority list. They don't get a good rating for me. Find a local-owned place instead. One who doesn't lie with promises of discounts so as to fool people into making an appointment. I so miss the former Horizon Auto Glass that was purchased by this shady out of state corporation. Also find a business that has a local office to answer the phone, not a call center in some unknown city. I called to get a quote on a rock chip repair. I did not schedule the appointment and decided to call around for prices at other shops. Soon after, I received this text message (image attached), so I acted on the message and scheduled an appointment. When it was time to pay the bill I was told these discounts don't apply to rock chip repairs, and these messages "automatically go out to everyone." It was attempted to shift blame onto me for foolishly thinking they would honor the promise of a $30 discount if I scheduled an appointment. When I called the corportate office to discuss this shady business practice, I was hung up on - twice. Obviously they have no intention to change this shady business practice of lying about discounts to trick people into scheduling appointments they may not have otherwise scheduled at all. They have lost a customer forever. I don't do business with shameless liars. EDIT #1: I also received a text message from them asking me to leave a Google review. Of course I followed through with their request. And to no surprise, my review was not published. There is nothing but 100% 5-star Google reviews. Gee, I wonder why. Took in an older car for a windshield. They came to my house and did a good job, only thing is it was offset "not centered" on the A-pillars and cowl. I'm not posting this to complain., I didn't say anything, so no blame to Auto Glass Now. They had no idea, so as I was installing the chrome clips, one side was tighter than expected. got the chrome trim on, then noticed a crack growing from the tight side. I might have chipped the glass putting on the chrome trim. We will keep an eye on it. no worries, it's in the top right. Can't See It. I will go back to them for the replacement on the older car, if it gets worse. read more

I am at day 2 after install, however, I was told I would be getting an OEM windshield and not aftermarket. I just noticed I did not get OEM. They were unable to calibrate which could be because of the aftermarket vs OEM. Its frustrating because I was firm on OEM. As for any further installation issues I cannot comment yet as I am still in the curing stage. Value was good but that is probably due to the aftermarket windshield. read more

The waiting room was standing room only which is a testament to the excellent work they do. Parking is very limited so get there early to find a spot. Between salesman's, Adam and Anna they were able to scour a windshield with 2 days delivery. However, delivery doesn't actually follow through and Anna was constantly on the phone with them tracking down our order. Delivery was delayed another day and we had a flight to catch the next day after rearranging several times over a course of 3 days! We got a quote made and appointment. We took the car in and and hour and a half later the called us to say the window they ordered was defective and they couldn't use it. We were then told it would cost an additional $70. We said no and would be back to pick up the car. They cracked my windshield even more and said nothing about it no apology no sorry just terrible customer service. I would not recommend this place. This has been a horrible experience I just want customers to beware of this place. If you value your privacy avoid this place!!! I really would have liked given a better rating but their business practices leave a lot to be desired. They didn't bother to cleanup adhesive residue from the installation. Plus, If they can't follow the business contracts they signed how can you rely on them to fulfill their contract with you. Did the research, found the product I wanted for both the windshield and paint protection and found a dealer to provide the service. Spent time sending emails back and forth plus time on the phone. My name is all over the place. The problem came when I tried to pay for it. Took out my card and was told they need to see my ID. NO - really you don't. It is a violation of the contract you signed to take the credit card. It's for your protection NO - I am the only one that can protect myself. I know crooks that can memorize over 20 randomly generated numbers, so now you have my drivers license number too. It's store policy - Ok, well It's the credit card issuers policy that you can't require me to show ID as a condition of taking my card. This may seem like a trivial issue, but if you can't trust them to follow the policies of the business contracts they sign why would you do business with them? Giving an update. Horizon called us and followed up on getting the correct rear view mirror for our car. Explained the tech accidentally broke the mirror and went across the street to get a replacement. They called us back and my husband took the car to have this replaced. He was very happy with the service and work after it was corrected. The only reason I am giving it a 4 is because transparency and communication is huge in customer service. Mistakes are done it's part of business. But transparency creates loyalty. If we would have known from the start we would have gladly paid extra to get it replaced with factory mirror. But when someone else makes a decision on your property with out consulting with you, no excuse makes it right. They were very apologetic and it was corrected, and my husband was very happy. My son had been trying to have a car window repaired for over a month at an unnamed glass company. Our insurance agent suggested I call Horizon. Adam was the first person to answer my call, not once transferred to anyone or any recording , to get help. He was unable to get the part in a timely time frame, from the first place he called. I took a rock to the windshield which resulted in a large crack that spread across the windshield so it could not be repaired. I called Horizon after getting their name from my insurance agent, they were very responsive and were able to get me in the next day. The windshield replacement, which they had in stock, took about an hour or so and it looks great and we have had no problems with it to this point and that was about to two weeks ago. On my way to a job site I had the unusual experience of having a rock hit my rear window of my company truck. When the rock hit, the window didn't break immediately...instead it took about 1-2 min and then blew out! Quite the experience. I called Horizons off my gps for replacing auto glass. They had the 2021 Silverado heated rear window available and offered to get me in right away. I was about an hour out. They were waiting when I got there and they had a lot of other customers there as well and still got my truck in. I can't thank them enough for getting our truck in so quickly and the price was reasonable and job was done professionally. When the window blew out-there was discharge of glass from the back to the front windshield. They even took time and vacuumed what they could out-and all my work equipment and gear which I moved upfront were untouched. The Office Staff and crew were top notch. This place is pretty exceptional when it comes to repairing your windshield. The staff are always friendly and willing to accommodate walk ins and appointments. Today I showed up at 9am and my car was immediately taken back and repaired. The prices are good for a repair (~22 for a star) but I asked for a quote on a windshield and it was definitely a little more than what I paid at another place. Side note: Sitting in this place makes me feel like they could be featured on some reality TV show about a family owned business. They have a variety of employees and clearly some interesting issues that come up on a daily basis. They also just have some big personalities that can be observed just sitting in the waiting area. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick repair. I might even splurge and get a new windshield done here because I know they're local and will do it correctly. This is not a reflection of Horizon Auto Glass & Tint as they are the ones that alerted me to this issue. I have a request. I recently bought a 2022 Subaru Outback and less than a day from when I drove the car off the lot, a small rock hit my windshield and it quickly turned from a small crack to a growing larger crack. So instead of a quick ~$30 fix, I now have to buy a new windshield. Apparently, this happens more than it should with Subaru and there are actually several lawsuits pending. I'm ready to sue. 5 things wrong with my services at Horizon Auto Glass and Tint. 1. My rearview mirror was stolen/broken/misplaced. The reason I know is because the one they put on doesn't display the temperature or direction I am driving. 2. My rearview mirror was placed too low. The guy told me the new windshield comes with the attachments for the rearview mirror, they didn't put it like that. My suv has a unicorn horn. 3. They scratched my dashboard in several places. They didn't put anything down to cover it prior to placing their tools on it. 4. I ordered a custom tint for the windshield, they choose to do it regular. They did fix the tint. 5. They charged me for clips I didn't need, which was refunded to me after they realized the error. This shop lacks accountability and respect for others property. During the night some hooligan broke into my car smashing the passenger door window. It was an upsetting experience. I called around for estimates, and Horizon not only have a great quote but was very kind on the phone which I appreciated considering the bad day I was having. They were able to get my window replaced the very next morning. As an added bonus they were able to apply tint to match the rest of windows (I had no idea they also did tinting when I booked my appointment). The whole thing took about 2 hours and looked perfect. I chose this company on a referral from my best friend who is super picky about anything done to his car. The location is easy to find and parking is a breeze. The waiting area is clean and comfortable with a bathroom available if needed. They discussed what we wanted done with our vehicle and gave us a quote over the phone. They knew by the make and model of my wife's vehicle that the glass had tint inside it from the factory. To me that's when their vast experience shines through. When I dropped the vehicle off they went over everything with me and inspected the glass before finalizing any prices or work to be completed. To me that was very honest and professional. They shared their knowledge with me to make the best decision on how much tint to get and which windows to not tint. In the matter of a few hours the tint was complete and looked amazing when we picked up the vehicle. They did not leave even the slightest hint of a mess in the vehicle and after careful inspection not even a tiny scratch of damage. We chipped our RV windshield on the way to Albuquerque. We called Horizon and they fit us in for an appointment at the end of the day. When we got delayed because of an accident on the freeway, Horizon said they would wait for us, even though they were closing at 5:00 p.m. We got there at 5:01, and Jose got right to work on the windshield chip, fixing it in about 20 minutes. The office staff, especially Carol, helped us get through all the insurance paperwork, and several people stayed late to assist us in getting in and out of there with a fixed windshield and a covered insurance claim. As out-of-towners who knew almost no one in Albuquerque, we were very grateful that we found Horizon and that they were so willing to help us out. I've used this place twice before for previous vehicles and always got a fair price and great service. It's been several years since I've used them but when my current vehicle windshield got several cracks I called to use them again. The lady said there is no aftermarket windshield available and they would have to order from the dealership directly. No biggie right? I had a 200 dollar credit at the dealership so I ordered the glass myself to save a few bucks. When I called to schedule an appointment they said they usually don't accept glass that customers bring in themselves. And if the glass breaks they won't honor it. I said you guys can pick it up from the dealer that way the warranty can be honored and it can be checked for cracks. But she said that's not possible if anything happens to it during install I will still be held accountable which makes no sense. Shady business practices like this is what hurts customers. I won't be recommending this business any more. UPDATE: reply to owners response. Went with another business which had no issue covering the glass. If you break the glass that's on you and your technicians. Doesn't matter where it comes from. I can understand if it's broken at the dealer but not when you break it installing. read more

We took our lifted Toyota Tundra to Safelite to get the windshield repaired- Safelite advised that they would not be able to recalibrate the windshield due to the lift, so they didn't want to install the windshield (which we appreciated the communication). We then called Horizon and explained the situation. They said they could absolutely recalibrate even with a lift. (spoke with Liz) We dropped off our truck the next day- My husband later received a call stating that they installed the windshield but were unable to recalibrate it due to the lift. We were never once told that they may or may not be able to recalibrate- we should have at least been called to be advised prior to the windshield t replaced. So now, we have an uncalibrated windshield. Clearly, their only goal was to make some money. I would have liked to know the situation prior to any work being done. They should have never replaced the windshield if they were unable to do the entire job. It was a two-part deal. Safelite communicated and was honest about what they couldn't do. Well... moving to the cold of Albuquerque from the Las Vegas heat has taken a toll on my rear view mirror. I went to move it this morning and the mirror popped right off the windshield!
