I put a positive review on here almost three years ago when my system was new and I am just as…read moresatisfied with it as I was then. There has never been a fault in my camera setup in these three years. The reason I write again is that we replaced our laptop computers this year, and needed service to help set the software up. The company runs lean, and they do not have a normal "help desk" when you call, so you don't always get an answer or help immediately, but I still give them five stars because they care about your experience with this and they make up for it once you get their highly competent technician on your case. Joe set up the software on two computers in only a couple of minutes and it feels like these cameras are sturdy and will continue running through at least a few generations of computers. If I ever want more coverage or upgrades, I would stay with this service.

I was in a serious time crunch and needed help fast. After calling a few companies, Tony immediately understood the urgency. He showed up that same night after finishing his other jobs, brought a crew, and got everything completed before the walls were closed. The quality of the work was excellent, the installation was clean and professional, and the pricing was very competitive. I highly recommend Tony to anyone looking for quality low-voltage wiring, networking, or home entertainment installation work.

This left me shaken up. I spoke with several other companies and then Vernon came out. I can say that immediately you feel safe in his presence and it's very clear he cares about ensuring people are safe and FEEL safe in their homes. He is a former cop and it shows. He is someone with the experience and instincts to really understand safety and that was very apparent in our conversations. He's not a salesman - he's a security expert who knows what you need and is honest and direct. He didn't try to upsell me on excessive unnecessary items like other companies. He asked about my goals and truly sought to understand exactly what I wanted before giving his suggestions. I asked tons of questions which he answered thoroughly and patiently. The best part about the experience was he could instantly tell I was shaken up from a previous incident and was so compassionate while still being direct. He talked to me about how to keep myself safe in case of another break-in given the layout of the new house and improve overall house safety in other ways. He even noticed the doors weren't installed correctly and missing tiny parts that make a door super easy to kick in. You don't always get more bang for your buck and it's definitely much more expensive than a DIY Google Nest self install, but I will sleep better at night knowing I got the true expert advice I needed to keep myself and my home safe. Due to the permitting system in the area and the issues with the owner of the house I lease there may be issues with getting one feature but I am going very out of my way to find a way to get what he thinks I need. So glad I made that last call to APS.

He was also wobbly when I asked how long the install would take which would affect the price ("it depends"). I didn't need it carved in stone when the guy came to the house, but I think that after I walked him through the house he decided we could afford more - and this was the owner, not some sales guy. I guess he thought I was stupid, but I'm getting more quotes now.

Their Proprietary "Valley Guard" service is now a service that everybody else offers, only they still sell it for double their competitors. Their burglar alarms, and fire alarms are double, if not triple the competitors prices. The worst part is, 90% of the contracts need change orders once the job has started, that's when the real price gouging starts, you are at their mercy at that point. The word around town is that they will be acquired soon.
