Finally had the chance to make an appointment with Tech Craft - Matt the owner. The part that was holding the swaybar to the front end was damaged in the past. I brought in two holders with larger bolts (M10) to replace the tiny BMW OEM bolts. Matt cleaned, welded, and painted the area. Then Matt installed my Hotchkiss front swaybar. Matthew, the owner, recently opened this business with a specific focus on performance M-class vehicles. He used to be the lead mechanic at Platte Forme AG which had a particular reputation for doing E46 M3 subframe reinforcements. I found Matthew when he responded to a post on M3Forum, I was looking for someone to do subframe reinforcement. He demonstrated a serious level of technical acumen that impressed everyone on the forum, so I decided to take a chance with a new shop and have him do some extensive work on my 2004 M3 Convertible. He did all of the following in a matter of 3 days, and flawlessly: Subframe reinforcement, front strut replacement, rear shocks replacement, rear trailing arm bushings, exhaust mounts, subframe bushings, differential bushings, differential seals, driveshaft/guibo, valve adjustment, fuel filter, power steering overhaul, diff fluid change, CPV replacement, UUC short shifter kit, dsc brake issue, vanos oil pump service. This is a MONSTER amount of work and he did an excellent job throughout. What was really nice was that I had his full and direct attention, he sent pictures throughout, and I got regular text messages with questions and updates. This is hard to find with someone as professional as he is. I would not hesitate to recommend Matthew and his shop to anyone with an M vehicle--he knows everything there is to know about them. He was honest with the parts prices and tolerated my OCD around bringing my own parts. I was one of his first customers so his prices were great--that was nice too. Had my headers installed in 3-4 hours while several other shops quoted me 2-3 times as much with an estimated time of 12-15 hours of work. Matt was able to pull it off in a 3 hour time frame at less than half the cost of these other shops that god knows what they are doing. He works alone to protect the quality of his shop as is fast. All things BMW you gotta take it to Matthew! He's maintained my E46 M3, Z3 M Coupe, and F02 750Li. He's very knowledgeable and more importantly he's trustworthy. He did a great job replacing the rod bearings on my M3 along with doing the valve adjustment, vanos, spark plugs, engine mounts, belts, belt tensioner, and brakes and rotors. Car is running really strong and quieter than most M3s with more miles. Matthew is also great at fabrication and welding, so on my M Coupe he did my swaybar reinforcement plates. I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. On my 750Li he also performed some major service he did the spark plugs, coil packs, transmission filter and fluid service, along with replacing the driveshaft flex discs (guibo) and support bearing. As usual he took extra care making sure it was done right the first time. What more can I say other than this is the only shop I'll take my BMWs. So wherever you're located it's worth driving it to Tech Craft you won't be disappointed! read more

Went to Matt for oil and transmission service for an Audi A6 and Lexus LS460. Also did brake fluid flush and differential fluid flush and tire rotation. Going to go back soon to change out my control arm bushings and power steering fluid flush. Great shop and high-end equipment. Matt even replaced some missing clips that other mechanics lost.
