Peach and Mango Mix Tea with Boba
Christian

This is a great tea place with amazing vibes and great service. It gives you a very tropical atmosphere that is to die for when you're on the island already. My first tea was a green tea base with Peach and Mango mix and boba added. It was on the sweeter side and very refreshing. My next tea was the classic milk tea with boba. It was creamy and savory. In my limited experience this is pretty standard. Overall, this place slaps if you're looking for a nice little morning tea. FREY OUT!

I first heard about Corduroy through social media and knew I had to check it out on my most recent…read moretrip to Galveston. The coffee shop feels like a beach house that was turned into a cafe (at least downstairs) and I absolutely loved the vibe!!! There's garden area with plenty of seating, and if you head toward the back you can even take the stairs up to a second floor seating area in the back house. The vibey was so cozy and beachy!! I had heard they take their matcha seriously so I ordered the strawberry matcha. It was amazing and definitely lived up to the hype. We got there around 10 am and it was pretty quiet, but after about 30-40 minutes people started steadily coming in and it got surprisingly busy. I loved loved loved this place and will definitely be back :)

I did request for their Matcha latte with 2 shots of espresso since I was suffering from a caffeine headache-3 days of little to no caffeine lol thats on me. The gentleman accommodated my ask and I am forever grateful. Supporting locals is my thing but I will state when things are questionable. Its authentic in presentation and nondescript in terms of, if you're looking fir a Starbucks ambiance, this is not it. If want truer to Galveston and raw, come sit a while.

It felt kind of cluttered. I expect they must have a patio setup on nicer days, but on this day all that equipment was taking up all the space right inside the front entrance. I'm not much on sweets. I can be talked into an interesting cookie, but this was not the place I expected and I don't think they sold cookies or interesting milk flavors from what I could tell. They do sell sketchy looking hot dogs and pizza. I'm not sure who orders that. It seems like they specialize in ice cream. I tried one flavor and it was pretty sweet for me. I'm not much on sweets so that's not hard to do for me. I stood around letting my wife pick her flavor. I would have waited outside given how cramped the space felt, but it was pouring rain. My wife mentioned the place has artwork and stuff. I didn't see that and didn't know to expect it. I also heard there is a wine bar somewhere on the premise. I may have to come back and give that a try.

This is a pretty eclectic place that fits in well here in Galveston. During Spring Break, they…read morewere a little busier during the weekday than normal. Lots of good options on the menu, and I was craving their famous cinnamon roll pancakes, but then a server brought out migas to a table and I immediately knew I wanted that instead. Here, it's a little opposite from most places, you gotta pick your seat first then order as the seats, especially the tables, are hard to come by at times. There are plenty stools along the window but the tables are better and most tables are family style so you'll likely be meeting someone new. I also added a chocolate bread pudding for myself which looked really good. The rest of my group ordered the granny's breakfast with sausage, 2 scrambled eggs and Benny's tostadas. The food comes out surprisingly quick for as busy as they are. Everything was so delicious! I ate a little of the bread pudding at the restaurant, then eventually ate the rest over the course of the next few hours. Yum! This restaurant is highly recommended!

After you finally order you get to try and find one of their dirty tables to sit at then wait way too long for terrible food. The food could not be more terrible, this is what they call biscuits and gravy and it tasted as bad as it looks, I think the best way to describe the color of the gravy is orange, which is weird. I had one bite of the biscuit and gravy and it was so bad that the stray cat that jumped on our table did not even want it, but it could have also been because of all the flies because the little fly fan at our table did not work but it also might have been from the constant smell from the sewer drain located right in the seating area. My wife had a chicken bagel egg sandwich- not good....all our food went in the trash. This is not a restaurant it is a disaster, do not believe the positive reviews.
