Wife and I wanted to treat ourselves to a week day milk tea. We were really looking forward to it but were both let down because of the drink quality. The oolong milk tea tasted like it was diluted with water. It had a faint taste of tea and a faint taste of milk. It basically tasted like my first attempt at milk tea (I'm not that good). The service was ok. Very nonchalant cashier. Interior is spacious and clean. It has potential for a nice hang out place. Really wish I could like this place. read more

Teapioca has unfortunately gone downhill from my last visit here a while back. We came on a Wednesday evening to an empty shop. We ordered the oolong cream milk with no sugar and grass jelly. I've got to say, this is probably the worst milk tea I've ever had. It was watered down, I tasted no oolong. The flavor was essentially melted ice with milk. The only saving grace was the grass jelly, which they barely gave us a small scoop of. Definitely not worth the $6. read more

Cream matcha tea - good. Not too sweet. Not too matcha-y. Taro coconut smoothie - also good. Not too sweet. You can taste the taro and coconut. 75c for boba. They definitely load it up. Decently soft. $13 something for 2 regular sized drinks (22oz). Seemed like a lot of volume so it was worth it. However, I do notice a handful of reviews complaining that their drinks tasted watered down. I can see their point. Typically I have to get drinks at ShareTea at 80% sweetness. The drinks I got here were mildly flavored, which i guess is fine if you're not wanting something super sugary. I don't like herbal teas either, so i don't like my drink to be bitter or tea-like. This was my 2nd time here. The 1st time (2024), I tried a brown sugar drink. read more

Teapioca has been one of our favorite drink spots for over two years now. The location is great, there's tons of drink options & they price their items very well. (My favorite is the brown sugar one with egg pudding instead of tapioca bc if I don't finish it, it's still great the next day. The egg pudding doesn't get hard & chewy like all boba tends to do after a day in the fridge.) The staff is always polite & it's never too crowded & busy. It's a nice place to sit & scroll for a bit - and they have sofas if you don't like wooden chairs. It's very close to Costco, HEB, & other grocery stores so if you want to save money on groceries, stop here to get a drink instead of shopping hungry! Thats what we do! read more

I love the light and fluffy mountains of flavored shaved ice. The ice is shaved so thinly that it resembles a snow dusting in the Colorado Rockies. There is a flavor for every mood. I love honey dew, but some other examples are coconut, mango, and taro. They even have durian, but I would never try it. You can top your mountain of goodness with a variety of toppings. I like the jellies, popping boba, and fresh fruit. Indulge yourself and add a drizzle of condensed milk or chocolate. Service was wonderful on our visit. The young people working were friendly and helpful. Ambiance was nice, not crowded and so we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon treat. Do yourself a favor and try one of these refreshing desserts. read more

I've enjoyed Teapioca Lounge since the first location in Austin area first opened many years ago. I really like the focus on the tea flavors - something that many boba places kinda wash out with milk. Disclaimer: owners have since changed. When this location in Sugar Land first had their grand opening, I was pretty taken aback by the owner who was there for opening day who shared that they were going into this because they thought boba was very profitable. I just didn't like that it wasn't an exclamation of love for boba and stuff. They also dismissed the boba competition in Sugar Land. This location really struggled with consistency (too watery, too sugary) and the drinks weren't what the first location was like. So I stopped going. Flash forward to now there was a change in ownership - I don't believe I've met the new owners - but the drinks are consistent and taste just like the original location. The guy at the counter all the reviews complain about - he's fine and been there forever. I think all the employees are pretty nice. Maybe some customers are expecting super bubbly, boba consultants to advise you on the drink in impeccable English...but I mean it's just one boba drink of your life and the employees are already very patient with the customers that take forever to decide what they want. My favorite to get is the oolong cream blastea with 50/50 sugar and ice, with boba of course. You will have to wait for them to steep it fresh - and it's SO GOOD and worth it. I also enjoy the black cream blastea for something basic. I regularly get the large size to sometimes split or finish all by myself. It's a hilariously large size - literally double of the regular size. Oh also if you have a bad habit of chewing straws...the straws do crack and break...so try not to chew on it. Parking is plentiful and so is the seating inside. Like the original location, I think this place is well suited to study in with plenty of plug outlets and not much noise/chatter. If you frequent here, consider stocking up on gift cards when they go on sale and get the app to earn points! read more

I usually go to Feng Cha right around the corner but decided to try a different place today. I came here not knowing what I wanted, and the cashier attendant's attitude didn't help the situation either. I ultimately ordered the Light Vietnamese Iced Coffee with boba and when I mentioned that I wanted less ice, the attendant sternly mentioned that they couldn't adjust the ice level (which is fine, but again, it was the attitude for me). Overall, drink did meet expectations and the boba had just the right amount of chewiness, but with the negative interaction I had, I think I'll just stick with Feng Cha in the future. read more

My diet consists of 60% food, 40% boba drinks... so please know that it pains me to give Teapioca Lounge such a low review. I've tried a drink from almost every section of their menu to give them a fair assessment. Most were under par, and some were so bad I had to throw them out. - The boba isn't sweetened at all. No brown sugar taste. - Slushy drinks have large chunks of ice in them. I had to reblend my watermelon slushy at home. Once I blended it, however, the watermelon tasted good. - The fruit tea tasted so offensive, I had to throw the whole thing away. Tasted mostly of cheap orange juice. The "fresh" fruit were not sweet or ripe. - Strawberry milk tea was super sweet. I couldn't drink it, but my sugar-holic daughter liked it. Their menu is pretty intense... kind of reminds me of Sonic drive-thru... except I like the drinks at Sonic. I feel like they're trying to do too much, making every teahouse drink possible but ultimately sacrificing quality. The last time I was there, it took forever for our 2 drinks to come out. There were at least 4 employees behind the counter. When our drinks were finally ready, I watched them just sit there on the counter for over 5 minutes while a couple of employees were packing straws. After about a 20 minute wait, it turned out that neither of our drinks were very good. The one good thing they have is their Snowyn (Taiwanese shaved ice). It's nice and fluffy and about 10 minutes closer to me than Chinatown. But with teahouses becoming more prevalent than Starbucks in the Sugar Land area, a decent shaved ice alone is not enough to keep me coming back. read more

Came here for lukewarm southern veggies. They didn't have any. Should have gone to the Tepid-Okra Lounge. We're not honestly fans of Teapioca Lounge. It doesn't matter how many locations we go to, it's just really not doing it for me, but compared to Barbie's disdain, I'm a huge fan, lol. Came here for used period products. Should have gone to Tampon-icky Lounge. What are the positives? Well, I love that they exist and I love that they a Texas Chain also in Oklahoma and I love that people love them. I even gave their OKC location a 5 because it was easy to hang out there and Boba in OKC has iffy standards - so in these ways I support them. Came here for my flight from Tulsa down to Florida. Should have gone to Tampa-OK Lounge. But when it comes to the drinks, it's just that the best that ever happens is, I'm like, it's okay, and more often I'm like, I can't drink this. Came here to assess the safety of a bridge upstate from NYC. Should have gone to Tappan-Zee-OK? Lounge. And that goes for both the odd tasting milk teas (Viet style perhaps) and also their hyper sweet Teahouse-but-not-as-good-as-Teahouse fruit teas. So definitely not my favorite chain, and while the Austin and San Marcos locations were worse, my favourite location by far was the one in Oklahoma City, which I actually used to enjoy hanging out at. As for the name, here's how it happened. I asked the Native Americans what sort of lodging they had available, and they said "is a Teepee ok?" I was like, "Teepee OK!" And thus, this place was named the Teepee OK Lounge. Houston has the best boba, and Sugar Land has a good selection of good stuff, and teapioca just doesn't come close by comparison, but I will say that service is nice and that decor is really great, and there's plenty of space in here. So I give it a positive rating for those reasons but I don't like the drinks here. Bumped up to 4 for nice decor, service was okay. Not to be confused with Peepee-ocho Lounge. As in, my Latina gf is allowed to get with other boys (as all my gfs are), but she isn't interested unless they have a "Peepee-ocho." Ocho o mas, I should say. Came here to see creepy dudes being creepy with girls, should have gone to just the Tip-in-okay? Lounge. read more

A good friend introduced me to this spot. After perusing their menu, I ordered the Thai Blastea without boba and at 50% sweetness. But, you can order your drink at 25, 50, 75, or 100% sweetness. My drink was surprisingly not sweet enough for me. Next time, I come here, I'll order it at 75% sweetness. The Thai tea was quite strong, I have to say. Don't get this drink if you've already had a hefty amount of caffeine prior to coming here. I do appreciate the cute panda wall art and their shelf of board games. I also enjoyed relaxing on the couches in the middle of the cafe. My suggestion would be to maybe have more of these couches as opposed to the tables with the hard seats. This will create a more cozy space for patrons. Also, some tea spots do provide a few snacks to munch on while drinking their beverages. Maybe have a small snack menu? Other than that, this is a nice tea spot to relax in the SL area. Next time, I plan on trying their coffee drinks and maybe even getting in a game of Jenga with friends while I'm there. read more

I was curious whether sugar land has shaved ice so looked it up on yelp and came up with this place. The decor is nice, clean and inviting. My dad really like the fact basketball game was on and there are sofas to sit and watch. We also noticed there are a few board games for public use. I was going to order the traditional Asian shaved ice and then realized $4.50 only buys you the ice and condensed milk and one wafer cookie. All toppings are extra. I was put off by the misleading picture but the staff were friendly and were eager to help. They suggested I tried the milky shaved ice instead so I went for mango milk shaved ice with fresh mango fresh strawberry and mochi plus asking for condensed milk on the side. It's usually too sweet for me. It was a large portion and surprisingly tasty. The fresh fruit were delicious. Mochi was just okay. The milky shaved ice was yummy. It cost $7.84 which is a bit steep and more like San Francisco prices. My parents definitely thought it was overpriced. However after eating it, my dad said it was worth it as it was something new they haven't had before and they can watch tv if they want. ;-) On top of that, one of the staff, Alex, came over and spoke mandarin to my parents. He is from Beijing and was super nice and offered us to try different topping for free if we wanted. I think my parents will be back read more

Came to try after seeing IG reel of their giant cup of boba. Boba = life so I must try. Overall yea flavor was great. Oolong milk tea 50% sugar just hits the spot. Only thing disappointing was the amount of boba they give in the giant cup. Supposedly this is like 3-4 servings of your normal drink, but they only gave 1 weak scoop for all that tea. Now that's definitely not proportional. Imo they should include extra boba for getting such a ginormous size. Also crafting a drink of this proportion will require extra 10 mins per the barista read more

Honestly our favorite boba spot! And so happy that it's so close to home and we don't need to go to bellaire for a fix. We've been coming here for years and the staff regularly changes but we've always had very positive experiences. They have big tables here so it's a good weekday study spot. The weekends can get a little loud and busy, but most people are in and out. All their drinks have been very good for us! Consistently deliver the same drinks every time despite the change in staff. Ive tried their smoothies, coffees & teas - all very good and fresh. It's a solid boba place! & if they added some popcorn chicken it would make this place 10000x better haha read more

We haven't been for a while, and felt quite disappointed visiting today. The family before us were there for the first time, and the mom didn't know what to order and asked for recommendations. The guy at the register was unhelpful and borderline rude, and she felt very discouraged and ordered some random drinks. When it was my turn, I knew exactly what I wanted since I get boba teas often and have been to pretty much all the tea places in Houston. When I adjusted ice and sugar levels, he paused and stared at me, as if I said something wrong. He proceeded to add those details, but just looked mad the whole time. We waited a whole FIFTEEN minutes to get our drinks, that was awful! It usually takes Kung Fu Tea or Feng Cha (tea places 1 minute away from Teapioca) 2-5 minutes to get drinks, never THIS long. The mom who stood in line in front of me chatted with me for over 10 minutes. She said it was her first and last time coming here, because service was rude and she felt discouraged trying new drinks at this place. I tried to comfort her telling her don't take it personal, I'm experienced at ordering and the attitude wasn't much better. When it was finally my turn to get the drinks (at least 15 minutes after ordering), the guy pushed the drinks to me without saying a thing. While the drinks came out ok, the experience just felt unpleasant. The wait was way too long, and I saw how upset and impatient the person behind me was. I didn't get to chat with them but they looked pretty impatient since it took so long. read more

The interior of this boba is super modern with nice interior decor, some TVs and also the space is pretty spacious for a huge group of friends to come in here and hang. I ordered the herbal jelly blastea milk tea today and I honestly was surprised how it tasted. It was actually very nice and smooth. I actually came in and thought it would be a bit Americanized but the taste was as if you would order at any other boba shop. However I can only say with what I ordered and not the entirety of the menu. I need more trips in and different drinks to make a final verdict. Decided to try this place out and it was just okay. The space itself is really clean and welcoming, but my Thai tea watered down within the first few sips and the boba lacked flavor. They also have an extensive menu, but it's not on display on the big screen so I didn't really get to decide what I wanted based on everything they had to offer. Worst experience ever. Came in and got one drink, sat down and noticed my drink was by the counter (it looked ready, but I wasn't sure if it was mine because other people were in front of me) so I waited. Other drinks were piling up, NO ONE WAS CALLING THE NAMES OUT SO NO ONE WAS GETTING THEIR DRINKS. I finally got up and asked the girl to see the name on that drink she said "I'm sorry, I'm busy making drinks, he's in charge of calling the drinks out (the guy at the register)" so I asked the guy working the register, he FINALLY checks the drink (10 minutes since the drink was made) and sure enough, it was my drink. He said "I'm not in charge of calling the drinks out." I said "okay so who's in charge of calling the drinks out because she just said it was you???" Never returning. Right across the street from Costco. We noticed this place right away as my son loves Teahouses! Of course we had to try it out. They are currently in their soft opening but will be having their grand opening on Dec 29th. The staff is very friendly and the inside is cozy and nice. A good place to hang out with friends or enjoy a smoothie after dinner etc. I like the layout and the strawberry banana smoothie I ordered is outstanding! Much better than what I'm used to. Right now during their soft opening drinks are 25% off but they will be having 2 for one drinks starting on the 29th through the 6th. Grab the postcard at the front counter. My son gave it two thumbs up and he's picky. It's nice having a place close to us for a change. We often to go to Chinatown as the best places are there in my opinion. Located in the new shopping center next to Zaxby's behind cvs and 85 degrees. Easy private parking. It's not packed. I came twice already. First time I ordered the coffee with ice cream (vanilla) with boba for hubby. He really liked it. I got cookies & cream for my 3 yo. She loved it. It wasn't too sweet and they made sure to grind the cookie pieces small so she wouldn't choke. I had the mangonada and fruit tea with fruit chunks. Both really good. The fruit tea was a tad too sweet although I requested 1/4 sweetness. They don't have Splenda. The guy at the register was great at introducing and explaining. The second time I came I ordered a mocha frap for hubby and an unsweetened coconut green cream tea. Very good. They also sell soft shaved ice with toppings. Compared to the multiple tapioca places within a 1 mile radius from this place, I'm not impressed. The taste of the drinks is decent, but the price doesn't make up for what you get. My boyfriend and I came in here after shopping at the Costco across the street. The inside of the shop is relatively clean and had a decent amount of seating area. After browsing through their menu for a while, my boyfriend decided to go with their Cream(I think this was what it was) BlasTea and I decided to go with the Thai BlasTea. I was pretty tempted to go for their 44 oz option but decided against it since I I haven't tried their Thai BlasTea before, so it would be a waste if I didn't like it. When asked if we wanted any sinkers with our drink, my boyfriend stated he wanted boba and I ordered egg pudding for my Thai BlasTea. We got our orders pretty quickly but my order had boba instead of egg pudding. Since I don't really mind having boba and felt like it was too much of a hassle to ask them to fix it, I decided to just leave with our orders. When I got a chance to try my drink in the car, I felt as though the Thai BlasTea was just okay. It wasn't sweet enough and we weren't asked for a sweetness preference when we ordered so I'm assuming my drink was at 100% sweet. If I was to order it again, I might have to see whether or not they can make it sweeter than 100% if this is the case. My boyfriend had no complaints about his drink but also no compliments, so it seems like he thought his drink was just okay as well. I wouldn't mind dropping by again if I'm in the area but at the moment, Teapioca Lounge hasn't wowed me yet to have me go out of my way to stop by. read more
