Visited Tea2Go TeaN'ergy on Zaragoza yesterday. It was my first time there and I found it a bit…read moreconfusing. They didn't have any prices listed, which made it hard to know how much things cost. The menu had combinations of ingredients that didn't seem like traditional tea flavors, like soda tea. When I asked for a simple tea with milk, they told me it was part of their special creations and charged extra for things like milk and sugar. The staff were friendly and tried to explain everything, but even they didn't know the prices because they varied depending on what you ordered. Had them ring up 2 to compare prices. I was surprised to find out that a small 24 oz matcha latte cost close to $7, especially since they didn't have regular boba, only popping ones, which were an additional charge if you wanted it. The place itself was cute and they sold their own accessories. They also had a convenient drive-thru and a tea bar where you could sample their teas. However, I found their teas to be weak and watery. When I ordered a coconut tea with oat milk and stevia, they called it a Madagascar drink and charged me accordingly, but it turned out to be overly sweet. It felt like I was drinking pure sugar, so I had to go back and ask them to remake it with just tea, oat milk, and a packet of Stevia. They were nice enough to do it, but I noticed that the drink was mostly ice...for around $5. Overall, it was an interesting experience, but I don't think you're getting good value for your money here. There's a Starbucks right across the street that offers better quality and transparency with their pricing. I would honestly go there in the future, or in this case, I would drive a few blocks down to the new Spill the Tea Bar for a truly great tea experience. I've tried some of their teas at a pop-up market, and the owner really knows how to blend loose leaf teas and even grows some of her own ingredients. Tea2Go TeaN'ergy is a stylish and attractive place, but it's not the right fit for me. You know I like to give honest feedback. -TODOELPASO

When I try a new coffee shop, I always order a non-flavored latte. I'm usually nervous about drinks being too sweet, and it also lets me really taste the coffee. I loved it! My cousins ordered other drinks and enjoyed them as well. One of them did mention her chai was a little on the sweeter side, but she still finished it. I noticed they have a varied menu and even offered seasonal specialty drinks. The space is big enough for a larger group and also seems like a great place to sit and work or study. Also, their staff was really nice and helpful! Definitely recommend checking this place out!

I've dropped so much money here over the years and always come on my birthday. It's honestly my favorite place I've ever been to. The only place that doesn't hurt my stomach. Been coming to tippi teas for 13 years and this specific location for 12 years now. They never disappoint. Now I have moved and still order from far far away. What they could improve on: -Staff hasn't been as personable as the years have gone by but regardless the staff is still wonderful. -The outside seating could definitely improve with how long they've had what's out there. -Switching out the Sage and etc with stuff (pottery, art, prints) from local artists would be much much cooler as well.

I asked the barista if it would just be a regular milk tea with brown sugar, and she said no, it's better... but to me it just tastes like a regular milk tea with brown sugar lol. The boba is nice and chewy. It tastes fresh, and it doesn't taste too sweet. I was scared about the sweetness cause I didn't realize until after I ordered that they consider 50% their standard sweetness level. Thankfully they may have understood what I meant since 75% isn't that sweet. It's REALLY milk heavy though; I can see the tea colour, I can taste the tea, but it undoubtedly is majority milk with very very little tea inside. It's basically flavoured milk. Would I come back? I mean... I guess... the AZ boba scene is much better though and I feel like I'd only come here if I didn't have other options.

BOBA AND CASH WITHDRAWALS…read more Finding Kinley's Tea House is like going on a treasure hunt in the desert in search of boba milk tea. Tucked away on North Mesa Street, behind its sister coffee house, lies this haven for boba connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike. There is plenty of study space on the first floor and sofas to relax on upstairs. The aesthetic is nice and refreshing; definitely a great way to escape the bright summer heat to retreat into this treehouse-esque environment. Take a step back and find something on their blackboard menu. Now let me talk about the tea (not that kind of tea). The DRINKS: LIKE AN EXOTIC RAVE IN TEA FORM Thai Tea: WHEN THE CRAVING DOESNT STOP With the light amber color reflecting the El Paso sun, you get a light taste of fragrant Thai Tea. Even with my sensitive taste buds, I thought the flavor was a bit watered down to the point where you lose the heart and soul of the fragrant Thai Tea leaves and are left something like a sugary Southern sweet tea (-1 star). Maybe adding less ice or asking them to make it stronger will make this drink more satisfying. Matcha Milk Tea: THE FULL FORCE OF A MATCHA KITKAT AT THE TIP OF YOUR TASTE BUDS If you are a lover of Matcha Kit Kat bars then congratulations, you have reached the end of your journey. One day, when my teeth can no longer chew and I can only take in liquids one sip at a time, this liquid Matcha Kit Kat will sustain my life. Until then, the Matcha Milk Tea has enough Matcha flavor to satisfy the tea drinker's soul & milky creaminess to coat your tongue like eating white chocolate. Sweet enough to satisfy a sugar craving, but with enough of the earthy Matcha to achieve a balance to maintain neutrality on your taste buds. Each sip is a clash of bittersweet Matcha, pillowy white chocolate, and the wonderful spectrum in between. The VERDICT: THE WILD SIDE OF TEA THAT YOU NEVER KNEW When you find teas like Dragon Pearl Jasmine and Golden Monkey, you know you are in for some unique surprises. Kinley's Tea House draws you in with their unique teas and mixed drinks (sorry, no alcohol). While the Thai Tea can satisfy a craving, I recommend asking them to make it stronger or with less ice so you can taste the fragrant milk tea & avoid something closer to Southern sweet tea. I highly recommend the Match Milk Tea for anyone who likes Matcha Kit Kat bars as this drink matches the flavor and the creamy mouthfeel & aftertaste of the cult sensation. The interior aesthetic definitely relaxes you, especially with so many different ways to sit and relax. I will definitely be back whenever I have an exotic craving for tea that cannot be satisfied anywhere else.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to take pictures, but I'll be back to try all the different teas and use the wi-fi to write a review or two (and waste a good hour on Facebook). You know, I don't really have an issue with GECU being inside Kinley's (to the left). I did go at night so I didn't get the full bank experience, but there was still a security guard at the front. I think I got the gist of it. It just wasn't an issue for me. Walking in with an open mind may be helpful because if you're expecting a Japanese type teahouse with pillows on the floor and petite women in kimonos giggling in the corner, you'll be a tad disappointed. KTH is modern...I mean it has a bank in it for crying out loud. Adjust your expectations accordingly. The tea was great and I love that you have the option to create you're own tea. You don't actually build it yourself or anything, but there's tons of different options for add-ons like tapioca pearls (I think that was an option...it's been a week, cut me some slack haha) and flavors like mango. Really the possibilities are endless and it gives you the freedom to find your dream tea. KTH does have a kind of hipster/modern/Google-offices-inspired feel to it. You know, bright and well equipped with outlets and college students (sprinkled with young professionals). I'm a fan. Even though the place was pretty packed, it wasn't loud. I'll be back for the tea, to lounge around and write a few Yelp reviews with the FREE wi-fi.
