My 1st time going to this place and i wasnt too sure of the place just cause its not really my type of setting but i was greeting by a very nice young lady gianna i think the name was, and i wasnt sure of what to get and i thought well why not let her pick seeing she works here. so i told her my preferences and she picked out for me a tea ( berry something i forgot the name) and a acai bowl (the dragon fruit one) and i was really surprised at how much i loved both items . I love it here. It took me forever to make it to the East Side Tippi Teas, but I have gone twice on the past week. They obviously have tons of loose leaf tea, but they also have juices, smoothies, smoothie bowls, a few baked goods, and vegan rolled ice cream (heck yes, dairy free options!!) They also sell tea accessories, local honey, incense, and other fun things. The ladies working in the afternoon the first time I went we're charming and fun-I ordered some tea to go and have tried them all since, and they were fabulous (Skinny Tea, a Rooibos Strawberry Cream Tea I am in love with, and a Yerba Mate Chai! Of course none of these are truly "tea", but wonderful nonetheless). And I came by during the week as well-I got a large Ginger Sky juice with agave (that was really good....but, wow, way too huge) and also a black tea that was Cookie flavored. It made me a little sad it was forgotten about and oversteeped, so it was a little bitter and just short of hot, but I would get it again. I like adding almond milk to bring out the sweet flavors, and it was still very good. I stayed to get some work done and it was cool in there despite the hot day and the large windows in the front, and they had solid internet and plenty of outlets. Finally had the opportunity to drop into Tippi Teas and see what it's all about. Walking in, you know right away that this place knows their tea! A wall of several dozen tea options meets you. For a simple consumer of black tea, green tea or matcha tea , if I'm feeling adventurous, I wasn't quite sure where to start so I asked for a recommendation - "what's closest to a simple black tea"? Golden Monkey and Silver Phoenix were recommended so I asked for one of each, sweetened with guava. After individually brewing both, the teas were served cold over ice, as requested. The sitting environment seems very calm and relaxing. Obviously the COVID issue has changed their setup but still several options to sit and enjoy your tea. The teas were high quality - stronger brews than I generally drink but with a little more sweetener or maybe some milk/cream next time will fix that. These are the best acai bowls I've EVER had. I always get the Berry Loco bowl and add peaches, and it never disappoints! I moved out of El Paso about a year ago, but come get their bowls every time I'm in town. I've tried finding a place that compare's to this one, but can't find any that have the right consistency, thickness, or freshness. Okay, I will just get down to it. Picture a Starbucks but with healthy smoothies, juices and teas. When it's steadily over 100 degrees in El Paso it's the perfect spot! The vibe you get is bright, airy, zenish, floral and open. Are the drinks overpriced? Sure! But so is Starbucks right? They are also healthier and more nutritious! I went to get tea here and when I went inside it was so hot, I asked if the air was broken and they said they couldn't turn the air on for themselves? For a place that charges so much for tea you'd think they'd have the air conditioner blasting for their employees. We live in the desert and it's June. If this is the owner or manager that said this then that's sad as hell to treat your employees that way. I've been wanting to try this place forever and it did not disappoint. They have an extensive amount of loose leaf tea options. I tried the coconut chai tea latte. It was very good. You able to specify how much sweetener you would like from honey to sugars. I also tried their verde bowl. It was super yummy. I thought the cucumber would be weird, but it added a nice texture to the bowl. As with most bowls, it was a little on the pricey side, but it was super filling. I had heard about this place but never ventured to it. The kiddo and I were driving by and she right away asked if we could try it. U know me I can't say no to my kiddo lol so we stopped. Cute place with a wall teas. It's confusing for a first timer but the staff is somewhat helpful but not very explanatory. I think they should have a menu of the types of teas not just look at the teas on the wall as u get overwhelmed like that. The kiddo got a juice and fruit bowl that was packed and so so yummy! This is the kind of place that I wish I could go to on a regular basis! I love my coffees but I"m really also into tea! This is a must for tea lovers, there is so much variety here that you will definitely get your fix. The staff here are also super friendly! Missed a star just because their smoothie menu is long and complex. Shows lots of smoothie options with ingredients but for a newbie having a little bit of a flavor description would be great. Let me start off by saying I absolutely LOVE the açaí bowls from this establishment and I've never once had a bad experience up until recently. I went to get my regular (chuco bowl) but noticed an up-charge. My first thought was that the prices increased and that's no big deal for me, I was just confused because it was nearly $4 extra than what i usually pay. Initially I didn't want to question it, but I had to be sure I was charged correctly. When I approached the cashier she appeared confused and flustered because she couldn't pull my receipt. I'm not sure if it was because she was new or she didn't want to tell me she made a mistake. I mean, she did make a mistake by charging me an item I didn't request for but that was fine! I understand mistakes happen and I wouldn't have been upset had she just told me. The reason I became upset was because the other employee...(presumably a manager but im not sure) came off as unapproachable and was extremely rude while handling the whole situation. She did not once apologize or try to explain what had happened. She simply shrugged it off and told me I'd see the money back in my account in a few days. She also didn't say a word to me as she handed my order. Before this, I've always felt welcomed and have never once had a bad experience from any employees at Tippi Teas. As someone who also works in the food industry, I understand how frustrating it is to deal with fixing someone else's mistakes as well as customers in general, but it was so upsetting to be treated like I was a being a rude customer when I wasn't. To top it all off, my bowl wasn't even filled all the way...Not sure if I'm returning after this horrible experience :( read more

The teas are inconsistent but for the most part decent. What makes this place 1 to 2 stars would be the customer service. Each time I've come the customer service has just been out right awful. No greetings to the customers. Just an awkward stare. They have a huge menu and instead of asking if we have any questions or help etc. they will just say "what can I get you" if you say you don't know they say ok, and head to the back to talk instead of offering recommendations this is done on a "good" customer service day. on a bad they'll just stand there staring at you. No smiles , not friendly or welcoming whatsoever. The vibe of the place is trying really hard to be spiritually friendly, yoga , self- healing, hippy type of place which attracted me initially but the customer service is anything but this. They need to train their employees to be friendlier, greet the customers (this is the bare minimum), answer/ask questions, make recommendations etc. they all seem really young and with the right management can really change things around. I do not blame the employees as they are all just doing what is being taught to from management and from previous reviews it seems management doesn't care. Do better. Coming from Arizona, these type of spiritual places are common and they do a whole lot better in making the customer feel wanted and welcome. I waiting almost 10 mins to be greeted to order a simple tea for my daughter. Two employees working but really no system in place to make the guest a priority. I hate being told "1 sec" and then 9 mins later, they remember you are there. It seems like they are playing catch up from closing duties of previous shift or day. Either way, it seems the guest is not the priority today...maybe they should be reminded of that. I think another employee was eating lunch or taking a break during a peak period, because one who just eating decided to go behind the counter, and she didn't even was her hands during a pandemic.
