This food truck was serving some delicious hot dogs at the 2023 SubZERO Festival this past weekend…read more Service was great from everyone on that truck, friendly, efficient, and just a welcoming environment overall, even after 9pm on a Friday night. Awesome worker (the one making and calling out the orders) recommended the kamikaze dog, probably cuz he was a pro at making them. I got it without the sriracha, and it was perfect! A sweet and savory combination of flavors, especially with the semisweet grilled bun and thick and juicy beef frank, not your ordinary hot dog, it will have you craving more after your last bite. And the fries remind me of amusement park fries I haven't had since I was younger, not too oily and the taste was quite good, I couldn't resist even though I normally prefer less carbs. Altogether, it made for a satisfying meal. I know the food truck does plenty of private events and catering, but it would be nice if there was a way to more easily find their upcoming locations open to the public, since they don't seem to have an official website or updated social media page. I only knew they were at SubZERO this past weekend cuz of word of mouth. Anyway, if looking for unique gourmet hot dogs and burgers, I recommend Road Dogs.

Yelp said this place is open till midnight but I wasn't taking any chances driving from Hayward, so I called their number and they confirmed that they are open till midnight, all days! The truck is parked on a 7-11 parking lot on S. Abbot. They have two tables and 4 chairs for people wanting to sit there and eat. We ordered an Achari chaap ( soya protein) and a Rumali roti for my husband. For myself I got their tandoori chicken which came with 2 drumsticks and two thighs. The chicken itself was juicy and definitely well marinated. The achari chaap was a bit tangy for my husband's liking but had great taste and flavor if you ask me. The Rumali roti was soft and fresh. We also had chai which was creamy and hot! Food came out quite fast even though they had said it would take 15 mins. A couple things that stood out were the portions, which were plentiful and the prices which are very reasonable. Sunny the person at the window was super nice and patient taking our order and didn't mind husband and I going back and forth over what we wanted to eat. Hubs wants to go back and try their chole bhature, and I want to try their chaat items next time.

Update (04/19/26): What's the point of staying open late if half the menu isn't available?…read more We got back late from a trip and specifically called in to order chole bhature, since this is one of the few places near us open till midnight. However, we were told that bhaturas (and anything fried) aren't available after 10 PM, which was really disappointing. We were instead offered chole kulche, and since we didn't have many late-night options, we agreed. We were told the order would be ready in 15-20 minutes, but when we arrived, the food already felt cold, like it had been sitting out for a while. It got worse when we reached home--the kulchas were burnt, making the meal quite unpleasant. After a long day of travel, this was the last thing we expected. We were too tired to go back, but honestly, this was not acceptable. If you're advertising late hours, the quality and availability should match. This experience was really disappointing.

There used to be a seven eleven there but I think it's closed now. For ease of service, try calling your order in ahead. The last two times I did this, they said the order would be ready in five to ten minutes, which is a good amount of time for me to get there and find parking. Of course, your mileage will vary. Lol My favorite is the Al pastor tacos here. My coworkers switch it up between the tacos and the Limon burritos. I've also had the cabeza, trips, carne asada, and lengua tacos and they were all OK. They're very accommodating of special requests. I always ask for no cilantro and my friend asks for no onions.

Additional sauce on the side if you prefer more mild/spicy. As this is located outside of the gas station, there is only one blue table for seating. No other seating available. I have been placing my orders via telephone and picking up, very quick and convenient.

The UFC is consistently my favorite choice there. I've tried their other food but every time I order something else, I tell myself it just doesn't live up to the UFC. Their fried chicken sandwich is perfectly crispy, decently sized (I always food coma afterwards), is quick to arrive after ordering, and comes with a bag of Hawaiian kettle chips. Love when this truck comes to the office because I know the food is always good and I never have to wait long.

Eat On Monday started doing pop up dinner options. This past wknd, we saw that they were doing Garlic Shrimp Hawaiian style and a Curry Tonkatsu plate as well as offering up roscoes ice cream tacos. We got 4 Garlic Shrimp orders and 1 Curry Tonkatsu and 4 ice cream tacos to try. The Curry Tonkatsu was bomb. The Japanese influence Curry was good with the rice and a perfect pairing to the crispy tonkatsu cutlet. I wished I had ordered more servings of this over the Garlic shrimp. The Garlic Shrimp was good but a tad too dry. We needed a garlic sauce to compliment the garlic rice. There was a bit too much raw chopped garlic mixed vs sautéed chopped garlic. Hopefully they make the adjustment. Kids loved the roscoes ice cream tacos for $5 each. We wanted more of the Youngsters (cookies and cream) but it only allowed us to order 1 as it was probably the last one in stock. If you aren't sure what to have for dinner, this was an option for Fri/Sat for us. I think they offer it up via doordash etc as well. They also debated a Thursday night addition when I was picking up our food. Try them out. Good portions.

The chhole were excellent--perfect color, perfect taste. Samosa was just okay. Dahi puri was okay too, but honestly I only wanted one or two of those... would've been great if the last golgappa at the live station could be a dahi one. The chai was disappointing this time--not the same as before. Ambiance and vibe are always fun here, and service was quick, which I appreciate.

I had the dahi vada and lakhpati chaat and enjoy the lakhpati more because it has some crunch and more flavor. The chai was also good my husband ordered it twice and it was served in a cute tradition chai holder stand. I appreciated the amount of detail they paid attention to maintain the vibe of chandni chonk. His chowmein is not oily and has so much flavor just eating alone is a party for your taste buds. The ambience if the restaurant is super cute and authentic. You can see that they put a lot of time and energy into crafting their menu and decorating the restaurant. As someone who's always on the lookout for authentic North Indian flavors, this place truly impressed me. They serve homestyle Punjabi food, and you can taste the authenticity in every bite. We tried the mix paratha, gobhi paratha, Afghani soya chaap, and garlic naan, and everything exceeded our expectations. The food came out piping hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious--so much so that we didn't even stop to take pictures and just jumped straight into enjoying it! The parathas were perfectly cooked--soft on the inside with just the right crisp on the outside, and generously stuffed. The Afghani soya chaap was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor--definitely a standout dish. What really stood out was how comforting and homely the food felt. It's the kind of meal that instantly reminds you of home-cooked North Indian food, made with care and love. The service is quick, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. They do have a small dine-in setup, but I personally opted for takeout. If you're craving authentic Punjabi flavors in the Bay Area, this place is an absolute must-try. Hidden gem alert--you don't want to miss this one!

Are we really at a point where people are just so accustomed to average food such that mediocre eateries are terrific to them? I came across this food truck at an Off the Grid event. I actually was excited to try this food truck as the photos on their Yelp page looked good... first mistake. The photos are incredibly outdated as this truck no longer serve mac and cheese nor collard greens, which are two dishes that I enjoy. Even their main fried chicken and waffle menu has gone from about ten items down to five. Nevertheless, I decided to get a fried chicken and waffle sandwich and ordered the Spicy and I Know It. It was honestly the saddest sandwich I have ever seen. The waffle was barely the same quality as what you would get at the continental breakfast served at your local inn. The cheese was sliced processed cheese that you get at Safeway and the fried chicken was worse than what you get at KFC. The cherry on top was that the maple syrup that they gave you with the waffles was a packaged condiment like what you would get at a fast food joint. I am truly shocked at the almost perfect score of this truck. Whether I give a place a perfect or a mediocre rating, I still somewhat understand the overall rating but in the case, I am truly lost.
