Ah-Mah-Zing! I didn't even know this place existed until my friends wanted to try the ice cream shop in the same plaza (but we found it was closed early or closed on Sundays). So instead of getting ice cream at dessert we settled for boba (although I didn't get boba). Their drink menu is extensive and they have real teas you could find in respectable tea shops. Not only that but they also sell popcorn chicken! AH! It's reminiscent of my UCI days where I lived off of tea and popcorn chicken! This place definitely has the feel of a family business. The cashier was helpful in helping me make my decision between the Okinawa Milk Tea and the Hokkaido milk tea. I've had the Hokkaido milk teas elsewhere before so I wanted to try the Okinawa Milk tea and the counter guy was very helpful. My only concern is that (since I do not have a sweet tooth), their Okinawa Milk Tea was a tad sweet, and next time I might consider half sweetened, but it wasn't bad at all. I was pleasantly surprised. Then my friends started to pull out the connect four game and the Jenga-off-brand game. It's a great place to hang out! We cultimated the night by playing the Wii-the New Super Smash Brothers. Score! Great night, great tea, great hang out spot. I love it! Will be coming back! If only this place wasn't so far from my house, I would come here all the time. Why can't there be more boba shops like this around the east valley?! This place has the friendliest workers here. I remember coming here the first time. They were so attentive, patient, and gave suggestions on what to get. Of course, me being basic, I got the regular milk tea. This time I got hazelnut milk tea and it is bomb too. I like how they have suggestions of what to get based on what the workers like, and it shows the workers pictures too. There is a family vibe here that you don't really get in boba places nowadays. It's nice to see they care about their workers! They also have a bunch of food options. This place has the best popcorn chicken compare to others. The difference between Tea n Tea and other places are that 1) they have rice plate with Large drinks 2) popcorn chicken doesn't have that much of flour like other places has 3) some flavor of their drinks are really different such as * Okinawa Milk tea, which is brown sugar and a little bit honey flavor. *Hokkaido Milk Tea! I love it!! I'll recommend everybody to try, but for those people that dont like too sweet, I'll probably recommend 25% to 50% sweet, because usually hokkaido milk tea is sweeter. * Cantaloupe Juice (I haven't try it, maybe next time. I'm no boba connoisseur but this is my go-to spot. I believe their boba is way better than their rival Bon Bon House AND they serve popcorn chicken. If you haven't tried their popcorn chicken yet, this is the prime time to do so. Their fried tofu is pretty tasty too! Mild is good, medium is getting spicy and hot is when your butt feels the spicy. I enjoy their passionfruit slush, taro milk tea, thai tea and soy milk tea (MY FAV!). Ask for 1/2 or 3/4-sweet if you don't have much of a sweet tooth. I don't judge much on the decor for boba spots because that's irrelevant but if you're curious, it's bright and all over the place. Since they've been open, they've slowly been changing their menu with additional choices and fixing some of their recipes for drinks. Most of these are from customer suggestions, where they would ask if they can make so-and-so drink, (which end up on a sort of "secret menu"), or asked to change a recipe for a drink (for the better). Being the 6th-or-so boba place in the Northridge area, they seem to understand the necessity of customer suggestions to improve their tastes. They are very humble in asking for suggestions to improve their drinks. I think they've come a long way since they first opened. Their drinks are getting better and better, have two ways to participate in a rewards program, and have music and TV now! They also like to try a lot of new stuff, like soy versions of their milk teas! Next time you don't like a particular drink, please tell them what can be done to improve it rather than just leave. They care about their customers and their drinks, which makes them my favorite boba place in the Valley. read more

This is probably the most accommodating boba place in the valley! I love coming here as Sam always makes sure to do everything he can so that you leave happy. Sam is pretty knowledgeable of his own store and freely lets you know what is good and what isn't based on your preferences. I love getting the avocado smoothie here. It's sweet and creamy and puts a delicious spin on avocado. They also run a promotion where if you check in on Facebook, you get a free upgrade to a large. They also have a tv where you can play Super Smash Bros. anytime you like! I've driven by this new boba spot a few times now so I went to go try it out with my BF.. came on a Saturday night with a few ppl sitting around inside.. a decent looking location .. Couple of tables with games to play while waiting or hanging out there I ordered two drinks and it wasn't til after I paid that i saw signs for a free upgrade with check in.. I felt like the cashier should have at least mentioned it to me since i did upgrade one drink.. moving along.. drinks were moderately priced but boba is extra.. my jasmine green milk tea had absolutely no taste of jasmine green tea .. it tasted like straight up sugar water! Bf's cafe latte tasted super watered down.. like they took some cheap coffee mix and just mixed in water and sugar.. it had an awful chemical aftertaste boba was not the good chewy texture that I'm used to getting but instead it felt overlooked.. Unfortunately we left with the drinks before we tasted them sooo I threw both drinks out cuz I'm not down to waste my calories on nasty boba Lastly the wait for the drinks was ridiculous.. ONE cashier and ONE person making the drinks.. the service was much too slow .. the lady waiting before us was extra mad about the long wait too.. you're better off going elsewhere even with a wait you'll at least get good drinks I'm surprised this place has such good reviews and ppl comparing it to boba joints in 626 .. are you kidding me?!626 boba over 818 boba any day!! The space is narrow, but they made good use of the space. Unlike some other spots in the valley, there is a food menu! Huge plus! We tried the popcorn chicken and pot stickers. Both were pretty good. Only thing that was a bother, the sweet and sour sauce came in packets. Be sure to ask for a small container to pour it into so you can dip. This place is still new so they are barely figuring things out. I ordered a peach green tea with boba. It was good, not too sweet and the boba had a good texture and chew to it. Sam is diligent and knowledgeable with all the drinks here, so if anyone ever had any questions on sweetness of the drink, what's in a particular drink, & any recommendations , you can always count on him! Regardless, the staff here are all friendly, knowledgeable, and you can feel that they want to make sure that you get your money's worth! Lastly, the drinks & food here can't ever go wrong. I've worked at a boba shop before, so I'm always skeptical going to a new place and being away from my "usual taste". I would recommend that if you like to taste the "tea" more in some drinks, usually ask for 50% sweetness because the drinks here are more on the sweeter side. However, everyone has their own opinions and taste buds. Just ask if you can try something out the sweetness before they pour it in your cup. For example the avocado blended drink, I think is best with 100% sweetness, but regular milk teas are good with 50%, in my own opinion. ** Also if you order food, their popcorn chicken, fried squid, gyozas are all on point!! Best snow bubble out there! Their boba was soft and chewy! Was greeted with a friendly staff, and was recommended the Cantaloupe Snow Bubble with Boba. They used FRESH cut cantaloupe! Well there isn't much left to say, all the other 5 star reviews are on point and this is certainly an outstanding establishment. The location is nice with ample parking, staff are courteous and quick to take your order, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I come for the boba drinks, and they offer some drinks that have real juice. I found out that they added honey which I thought was weird but interesting too. Wasn't really diggin' it. So the friendly cashier offered to remake my drink but with soy milk this time and more concentrated black tea. 5/5- Okinawa Milk Tea (with soy milk) 100% sweet: so much better. And I recommend this to friends who are not really into extra sweet drinks. Even with the 100% sweetness, it didn't taste too sweet because the Okinawa Milk Tea black tea base is already so strong and the ice already dilutes it too. Next time, I will try the boba. PS. It's in the mall next to Costco so you can always fill up gas after The drinks are not bad we would give a 4/5 for them as they can be overly sweet. Highly recommend a 75% or 50 % sugar level. Their yogurt drink is good here if you like creamy and sweet. If you are one who likes more sour then wouldnt recommend the yogurt drink here. Service is amazing and the staff and owner are so nice. He didn't hear us order boba on one of the drinks and gave us another one for free to our surprise. We even told him it wasn't necessary cause he didn't charge us for boba, but he gave it to us anyways! Talk about super nice! Came in with a group and they ordered their usual. Quick glance at their menu and ordered Thai tea with boba. Friend ordered their spicy popcorn chicken, tofu and sesame balls, handed to us all within 10 minutes ordering, with skewers for us in a paper bag. Everything made fresh, boba was nice and chewy, everyone was happy. My friend hands me a skewer with chicken and it was SPICY. My lips are literally burning. The sesame ball is about the size of a large jawbreaker with a soft filling. I'd recommend that for nOObs. I always go here with my best friends to play Uno while having quality boba. When it gets full, it tends to feel a little cramped, but service is fast and efficient. Their taro boba tea and mango slushie are my go-to when I go to Tea 'n tea. What makes Tea 'n Tea sort of pop out of the other boba shops in proximity of them is that they have some snacks on their menu as well. I always get the squid balls when I order the taro boba tea. Definitely one of the nicer boba places in Northridge! Whenever I am in the valley, I always end up going to Bon Bon Tea House, but the lines can get so long there. I checked out Tea 'n Tea recently as I saw the place when I drove by. The place itself isn't too big, but it has a cozy feel to it. When I went, it wasn't too busy, but I can see it getting crowded especially since it's in a popular plaza. I ordered the peach black tea with boba and I have to say that it's one of the best peach black teas I've ever tasted. I would that it's even comparable to Volcano Tea House in Sawtelle which is where I first tried and loved peach black tea. It was a bit pricey for the regular size, but they do have free size upgrades if you check-in! The slush drinks were good but customer service not so much. We were at the counter ordering drinks and of course asking questions being new at the place. The lady (Gee-han) who was taking our order was friendly but the guy preparing the drinks was not. The guy at one point butted in when we were asking about the price difference between regular and large. Out of nowhere, he said the prices are on the screen seeming to suggest that the prices are right in front of you and why ask questions. I just politely said, oh sorry - we may be blind today. He may be right but the butting in was uncalled for. There was no reason to be butting in on a transaction that you weren't a part of. We are in the customer service industry as well so I know when someone is being a wise ass vs someone who merely wants the customers to have a great time while enjoying their drinks.
