I have to say, of all the places i've been in Dublin there really is nowhere like Tea Garden, was introduced to this place by a mate of mine. As Jason C says its a little dodgy going down the steps but once your in there what a place. Its probably the most chilled out coffee or tea place in the city. Split over two levels, we sat upstairs in the room featured in the photo, the huge vaulted roof is a great talking point as well as a goldfish bowl. They also have booths where you can lounge or lie and enjoy your tea or get a hookah pipe as well, how many places can you do this in Dublin. The staff are really lovely, very friendly and talk you through their menu. Our waitress explained the place is Slovakian owned where Tea shops like this are a common feature. Really could have stayed another few hours if the place wasn't closing. If you want to try somewhere a bit different check it out.

I would never have walked in here if it wasn't for a recommendation of a trusted tea nerd. And holy gods of green tea, did I love this place. I spend a couple of hours here making the most of my Gyokuro (three infusions) and eating some really nice hummus. Internet was lightning fast and the young lady super helpful. Very recommeded to catch up with friends, to some serious working (infused by some high power tea), or have a shisha with a loved one.

Shisha on the second floor.

Awesome place for some shisha and tea. The exterior is so deceiving. You'd think this is some small enclosed space - and the stairs down to the basement doesn't suggest otherwise. Yeah, it's good to be wrong sometimes. The space opens up - I think the best seats are on the first floor with the windows opening to the inner garden. They open late - so it's great after a perfect evening of beer and friendly company.

I had robust chocolate orange tea for first time visiting here. It was not really something I would like but I definitely come back as they really have a lot of different teas and I may find my favorite taste next time!

I actually found this place here on Yelp, and I'm glad I got to check it out! We dropped in one afternoon while in town, and were disappointed when we were told it was full. We found it strange- the employee first asked us if we'd been before, and then when we said no, she immediately said it was full, as if our being able to sit down was contingent on our having been there before. We persevered, however, and made a reservation for the next day (Valentine's Day). We arrived and were nervous when another employee asked if we'd been before. This time, we were relieved to be seated in a beautiful and relaxing room next to a garden. It was a nice experience to remove our shoes and settle down on pillows on the raised floor. The music was quiet and relaxing, and there were other people in the room but everything was calm. There is an incredibly extensive selection of teas to choose from, which makes the menu a bit like a book! I ordered a cup of the salep, which turned out to be more like a porridge but nonetheless delicious. We ordered some of the tea biscuits on the side, which were crumbly and yummy to dip into our teas. An hour went by without us realising, which was a testament to the relaxed state of mind you find yourself in. Only complaints: the price for a pot of tea can be quite high, depending on the type. Wifi was very spotty and for the most part, didn't work. Lastly, it's so difficult to reach anyone on the phone! I tried calling multiple times and eventually got someone else to call for me, at which point an employee finally answered. Otherwise, an excellent, tranquil experience in the middle of Dublin!

great decorum and a lovely place to hang out and have a chilled evening with friends, i'll definitely be back. Huge selection of teas that impressed my friend but I had to go for a strawberry milkshake that was pricey but delicious!

#DublinFoodPorn well technically a drink but well worth a visit!

First time visiting this place & I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! Great selection of teas & even the avid typical Irish tea drinker I was with was impressed! We settled on a pot of the Moroccan Mint tea & a post of the Darjeeling tea. The mint tea was lovely but possible a little too sweet. Not sure if it needed the extra sugar that the seem to have added. The Darjeeling was really nice, not too strong and didn't turn to tar the longer it was left brewing like some black teas tend to. Overall the ambiance was really relaxing and didn't feel two hours slipping by. My only grip is as a first time visitor the staff could have been a little more helpful in terms of the menu & making some recommendations of what to try. We were basically handed a menu & told to find somewhere to sit. but this in it's self wasn't enough to put me off making a return visit.

Go inside an chill... In the heart of the city of Dublin in the middle of allnthe traffic jams there's a place where you can forget the noise and the stress and this place is tea garden. Here you can enjoy a huge selection of teas and infusions while you are chilling in a fancy space.

The first day we arrived to Dublin, I had a bit of a headache. I sent my husband in search of coffee and a bite in the hopes of warding off the headache. He brought back a tuna melt and mocha from The Bald Barista. Both were excellent. The tuna melt was herbaceous and flavorful and the mocha was the perfect blend or rich chocolate and strong espresso. So, a few days later when my mom arrived and was hoping for coffee and a bite, I said--I've got just the place! On that visit, we enjoyed our coffee and food in house. You order at the counter where you enter and if you're dining in, you simply take the stairs to the dining room and they'll bring you both your food and coffee. This time, I ordered the same coffee (why mess with a good thing) and a yogurt with everything (fruit, nuts, seeds--the works!). The shop itself is cute, warm, and inviting. The service is top notch with beautifully friendly folks working in here (including the Bald Barista himself). If you're in Dublin and are looking for an exemplary cuppa and some tasty bites served with a smile--this is your spot. Get to it!

They prepare and serve up coffee as a city better than any other city in the world. Sorry Seattle, Portland, its the truth. As a full fledge coffee nerd/snob I am looking for great coffee nothing more. Also if they don't roast their own beans and they are just serving someone else's coffee they will never get above a 3 star from me. I am looking strictly at the coffee and the customer service in my reviews. Accents was fantastic. When I walked in the Barista, a pretty little red headed Irish woman was doing some spectacular latte art on a Mocha, she smiled and asked me what I would like. I order just a regular Latte. They do not roast their own beans, but she was out of coffee in the grinder, she reached for a new sealed bag and I caught the name, McCabe's. I was unfamiliar so afterward I looked them up. here is the link if anyone is interested. (https://mccabecoffee.com) Local award winning Cork roaster. I watched the Barista, fill the grinder and then told me it would be a minute as she needed to dial in the espresso. I shook my head in a circle like I didn't get it but okay. She had it dialed in after 3 shots. looked like 18 in and 36 out. She was a pro, steamed my milk while the shot pulled in about 24 seconds. I ordered my drink to go but it was still presented with great art and a smile. Told me where the sugar and lids were but suggested I tried it before i added anything, that the espresso is very good. I tasted it and said, "You are right, needs nothing" and it didn't. BEST LATTE I HAVE HAD THIS TRIP TO DUBLIN. I am breaking my own rule here, I can because they are my rules, they don't roast but they use fantastic local Micro-roasted beans and prepare my drink to perfection. Don't miss this little gem the in Dublin. 5 Stars.

We had the Banh mi on fresh baked bread that was to die for -- perfectly spiced, with each bite savory, sweet, crunchy, fresh, rich. The coffee was terrific, too!
