Our walking tour took a break right in front of The Joy of Cha so we stopped in for coffee and some bakery items. The restaurant is small and decorated in a way that begs for you to spend an afternoon lounging over coffee. It is very cozy on a cold day. The serve food all day and have lots of hot options. They are open 7 days a week and have sidewalk seating. The coffee was good and very hot. We bought several bakery items to sample. Although they offer plenty of savory baked goods we opted for sweet. The brownies looked delicious but were stale tasting and a big disappointment. The various cookies were all very good. The cake was also delicious.

Good cuppa here at the Joy of Cha, which was near where our walking tour stopped for our middle break. When a crowd of forty people start to queue up, you're either going to have total failure or total success. Cha had success, processing and filling orders swiftly. It's a small shop but there are a couple of tables in the back and a few people were there with laptops and the day's Irish Times. Some working, some on the phone. Cup of tea was just what I needed as a pick-me-up and warm-me-up.

Absolutely amazing breakfast! A mix of traditional and American options. Great sourced items, good coffee, food fresh and hot and fantastic service! Will go back again!

Coconut hot chocolate in temple district

I ordered a coconut hot chocolate which was pretty good. Their service stinks. This place is in the heart of tourist land. Customer service should be their top priority and with me, it wasn't. I walked in, wasn't greeted by either of the 2 girls at the counter. This place is small so it's not that they were far away and I expected them to see me. This was immediately when you walk in, the counter is on the left. I wait right in front of them looking awkwardly about until a few mins later, one of the girls walks around and offers me a menu. Seriously?? No hello? No good morning? I was honestly itching to go elsewhere but I was running late on my own plans so I still chose to get the drink but their service is garbage. I really wanted to like this place too but my 24 hours in Dublin has not been the best. I felt a lot of subtle racism here (in Dublin) and this place was no different. I did notice, after I was finally helped, 2 guys approached the counter and the other girl immediately assisted them.

Lunch with friends after viewing the Emil Nolde exhibition.

Stopped by for a quick lunch with friends after the Emil Nolde exhibition at the National Gallery and greatly enjoyed the atmosphere here. Though small, the cafe had a welcoming energy. A very kind man gave up his seat to offer my group and I his table, as we couldn't find a table due to our size. I had the Spinach Mozzarella & Chocolate Chip Muffin and honestly, I should've had two of each. I wasn't sure what I was expected with the Spinach Mozz, but it was amazing. After eating it, I was genuinely frustrated that I chose a muffin(though amazing) over a second serving. My friend kept commenting about how surprisingly moist her muffin was before going on about how she hated the word. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I'll definitely pop back in the next time I'm in Dublin.

A very cute local restaurant in the heart of Dublin. We stopped here for some breakfast and were delighted to find a large option of meals from a traditional Irish breakfast to a traditional American breakfast. We chose to order their most popular house special, the feta and spinach pastry, and a salmon quiche. The pastry was delicious with a nice blend of savory flavor, neither feta or spinach overpowering the other. The quiche was not as delicious but still tasty with a flaky crust and soft center. I also enjoyed their cup of joe which was smooth but VERY STRONG. The servers were very welcoming and happily answered all our questions about the menu. My dad is vegan and unfortunately the menu did not have any vegan options, however, the staff was willing to switch out some ingredients on their menu to make it vegan friendly. The cafe was small but cozy. The decor was unique and artfully cluttered. Overall, the cafe was exactly what I was looking for that morning.

This is quirky spot, it's tiny inside, I kept banging my head off a shelf but my head is empty so no damage was done. The interior reminds me of The Darjeeling Limited for some reason. Just lots of interesting things visually. There is coffee on the menu but it's a bit silly to order coffee in a place that specialises in tea. I of course tried the chai, they have several varieties, it was very refreshing and the presentation makes you feel like you are having a very special experience. They have cakes and a lunch menu. It's a great place to drift away.

Went for an hour break with friends for breakfast. Its very cosy and they seem to have different options for teas and coffee. The menu has good options for pescatarians or vegetarians but nothing for vegans, thankfully am pasco-vegan haha. Anyway, prices are very cheap and the food portions are very generous, like both my friend and I had Salmon in our order and it was really big piece of smoked salmon. Overall, its okey_Ish nothing special about the food, but you will like it if you enjoy traditional breakfast. Both my friends loved the place and one of them really enjoyed her hot chocolate and pancakes and got one of their lovely (how she described it) croissant.

Although it's more on the pricier side for a breakfast bagel, it was worth every euro! So delicious!!

Coming from the Bay Area, California, I gotta say the Breakfast Bagel was pretty bomb! My boyfriend and I had the pleasure to eat this amazing breakfast bagel on our Sunday morning tour around Dublin. It was so meaty and cheesy and the perfect portion, I love it! Highly recommend!

Since I don't eat red meat, I was very excited to see a vegetarian Irish breakfast option. I ordered this as well as a mocha latte. Despite the rain, my friend and I sat outside since all of the indoor seating was occupied. Thankfully some heaters provided warmth for what could've been a chilly breakfast. Very quickly the lattes came out which my friend and I sipped on. They were soooo cute, mine had the design of a little bear on top! The latte itself was hot and not too sweet, the perfect start to the experience. After a few short minutes, the food came out! Immediately, my friend and I dug in. It was honestly everything I expected and even more! There were no weak links on the plate and there were generous portions as well. I sat there for a while working my way through my delicious plate!! Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Beanhive. It was an aesthetic cafe that also provided a hearty breakfast. I would definitely recommend.

The first day we arrived to Dublin, I had a bit of a headache. I sent my husband in search of coffee and a bite in the hopes of warding off the headache. He brought back a tuna melt and mocha from The Bald Barista. Both were excellent. The tuna melt was herbaceous and flavorful and the mocha was the perfect blend or rich chocolate and strong espresso. So, a few days later when my mom arrived and was hoping for coffee and a bite, I said--I've got just the place! On that visit, we enjoyed our coffee and food in house. You order at the counter where you enter and if you're dining in, you simply take the stairs to the dining room and they'll bring you both your food and coffee. This time, I ordered the same coffee (why mess with a good thing) and a yogurt with everything (fruit, nuts, seeds--the works!). The shop itself is cute, warm, and inviting. The service is top notch with beautifully friendly folks working in here (including the Bald Barista himself). They prepare and serve up coffee as a city better than any other city in the world. Sorry Seattle, Portland, its the truth. As a full fledge coffee nerd/snob I am looking for great coffee nothing more. Also if they don't roast their own beans and they are just serving someone else's coffee they will never get above a 3 star from me. I am looking strictly at the coffee and the customer service in my reviews. Accents was fantastic. When I walked in the Barista, a pretty little red headed Irish woman was doing some spectacular latte art on a Mocha, she smiled and asked me what I would like. I order just a regular Latte. They do not roast their own beans, but she was out of coffee in the grinder, she reached for a new sealed bag and I caught the name, McCabe's. I was unfamiliar so afterward I looked them up. here is the link if anyone is interested. (https://mccabecoffee.com) Local award winning Cork roaster. I watched the Barista, fill the grinder and then told me it would be a minute as she needed to dial in the espresso. I shook my head in a circle like I didn't get it but okay. She had it dialed in after 3 shots. looked like 18 in and 36 out. She was a pro, steamed my milk while the shot pulled in about 24 seconds. I ordered my drink to go but it was still presented with great art and a smile. Told me where the sugar and lids were but suggested I tried it before i added anything, that the espresso is very good. I tasted it and said, "You are right, needs nothing" and it didn't. BEST LATTE I HAVE HAD THIS TRIP TO DUBLIN.
