I ordered a tea that I did not like at first sip and they let me trade it for a different tea. So nice! Just opened recently in the Santa Teresa/Cottle plaza. Haven't tried the food yet, but the drinks I've ordered so far have been tasty and refreshing. Lots of space and tables for indoor enjoyment. Plenty of wall outlets as well. Currently has a funky smell indoor, but I believe that's due to the paint job or cleaning chemicals. This place is unique because it includes more food plate/bento options than other boba places in this area. The boxes have good variety and are decent value, but aren't anything fancy. I've enjoyed the flavor and texture of the popcorn chicken, but there's an ingredient in it that messes with my stomach. The boba is fine, but if you choose the less sweet option for the decaf milk teas, like ube or banana, know that the flavor will be watery. Boba texture is nice and soft. The only reason I would give this spot one star is due to the fact that many of the drinks you order here, milk tea specifically, will taste watered down. So nice to finally see it opened after so many years of it under construction. So far it looks pretty quiet as I'm sure not that many people are aware that it's open yet. Nice wide space and decent amount of tables for those who want to sit and study or hang around. People going to the gym next door or Ramen Champ down the lot will probably bring more foot traffic. Also with the middle school and elementary school further down the street, it'll get more crowded eventually like Pure Tea across the street does. For ordering, there's a kiosk in the corner and a QR code on the wall. Drink options look mostly similar to the Cupertino and Mountain View locations. I usually get almond milk tea at any place that offers it but for some reason this one had a strange gritty texture and a weird bitter almost fruity-like aftertaste. I wouldn't get it again. There are more drinks I haven't tried yet so I wouldn't mind coming back to try something else instead next time. Didn't get a pic but hours at the moment are Sun-Mon, Wed-Sat 11am-9pm. I think i had a drink before at the Cupertino location but that was almost a decade ago so i don't recall what it was like. This time we also ordered the pork cutlet rice box $16.99 ea. For Tea; Tropical Trio for me @ 50% less sugar and less ice & Floral Peach (kid friendly) w/ boba 75% sugar and less ice. Baby LOVES her boba and I really enjoyed mine! Sweetness lvl was perfected. I think i was ordering with the owner, if not manager, he was very kind and made sure we'd be satisfied with our order. We talked about other boba places and how sometimes the sugar lvl is overpowering and never made as requested/desired sweetness lvl. He knows what he's doin! The only issue i had today was that we ordered the pork cutlet instead of chicken bento because its photo that's advertised showed broccoli. My daughter LOVES broccoli so she chose this one specifically because of it--but unfortunately, they don't have broccoli--only cucumber & cabbage. I really wish he had mentioned this as we were ordering because i made it clear we only switched to pork due to it having broccoli since chicken box doesn't come with it. There is a price difference in these so that was a bit disappointing. 10% off entire order $28+ was the total after the $2 discount was applied. All in all, the box is very well portioned. I initially found TeaEra while looking for a treat. They're tucked away in a shopping center right off Cottle. Every time I go in their store is clean even when they're busy. The employees are friendly and greet you. Each time I've gone in their service is very good and their teas even better. We were ecstatic to see the grand opening sign (and lights!) up a few weeks ago. Been waiting for a legit Boba tea cafe to open up in this area and it is finally here. It is similar to the Cupertino location - vibe and menu. Service is pretty fast and while there isn't much interaction (order through kiosk unless paying with cash), they are happy to help and chat with any questions you have. Tea selection is plenty and you can customize your drinks (sweetness , ice , toppings etc) . A great local store with really yummy Asian sweet treats, meals and bites. I've gone several times and plan on coming a lot more often. The food is really good and priced right. The portions are appropriate for the price. I like that they add garnishes, eggs, and other things to their rice plates. It adds variety and makes the meal much more enjoyable. The owner may send a text requesting feedback (maybe just early on), but I sent a few pieces of feedback and they were receptive, responsive, and really quite nice to correspond to. This is the second time I've been here with my husband, and the popcorn chicken and drinks are always on point. The right sweetness to how we ordered the drinks, and the popcorn chicken is so flavorful! This is our go to place for popcorn chicken in the area. We'll have to try the other snacks next time.
