My primary reason for a visit and patronage is to attain my default grass jelly (loeng4 fan2 涼粉) topping $1.00. Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary source of patronize. Honestly, I would not patronize a bubble tea business if no grass jelly is listed on the drink menu. It was not chilled, but abundant. I decided strawberry green tea, medium $7.75 with 25% sugar, but I always want regular ice - not light ice. I wanted more ice where the cup sweats profusely from the condensation. The strawberry flavor is light which I was grateful while the green tea is the dominating force as I am enamored with green tea. Business cards are available for grabs which also serves as a loyalty card where after the tenth paid drink is free. Seating is very limited for a bench relaxed casual atmosphere setting. They Spent time explaining all the different tastes, techniques and origins of the various teas and drinks they offer. Also offered multiple samples for me to try and taste. The oolong tea is roasted well and even has a natural sweetness. I love the cold brew green tea. Super refreshing and thirst quenching for the sultry summer! They started the tea leaf with hot water and then cold brew for 10+ hours! I even did some more batches of cold brew on my own with the tea leaves after I finished the bottle - still delicious! One of the best tasting and great quality teas I've had! The La Vie En Rose is very interesting. Just be aware that the ginseng taste is very strong which may be an acquired flavor for some - very prominent herbal scent. read more

We were greeted warmly by Andrew when entering, and I ended up going with his personal favorite, the wintermelon tea. He made truly enjoyable conversation with us while taking his time to make the perfect drink, and we could immediately tell that he was a kind, genuine person. As a bonus, Andrew gave us cups of caramel pudding to try before handing us the drink. The service here was so bad when we went. First of all, the cashier was super rude and my friend ordered the strawberry matcha and they gave her just a matcha milk tea. When she tried to say she got a strawberry matcha the cashier kept arguing with her saying you ordered a matcha. The back and forth kept going on for a while until they finally made her the strawberry matcha. Then we were sitting down and another group of girls came by. One girl was saying if she could get a free drink because it was her birthday yesterday and the cashier was saying well it's not your birthday today so no. It was so rude and awkward and then her friends proceeded to buy her a drink but yeah. I ordered the Formosa Jasmine Tea with the Jasmine Jelly and it was super delicious, I really loved the flavor and texture of the Jelly. I can give it the best Chinese compliment "not too sweet" The owner and staff were also very nice and friendly. Also got to sample their jasmine tea jelly and pudding. Both were delicious and had just the right amount if sugar level. I tried the Wintermelon Milk w/ Boba and the Peach Yakult w/ Lychee Jelly (as provided on the Staff Reccs Menu) and they were both amazing-- Personally like the Wintermelon one more because I wanted something with milk but both were great. The staff were exceptional and overheard that my boyfriend and I had never really tried Wintermelon before, and they jumped to give us a sample of the tea. First off, amazing to see that there were no added sugars and that all the components of their drinks were individually perfected. We ended up ordering and got our drinks pretty quickly, but while we waited one of the staff members offered us a sample of their pudding topping. It was great to try and extremely kind of the staff to offer, especially because there was no incentive for them to do so as we had already ordered. You can tell that the staff really care about making a great business. They haven't been open for too long, and I hope they receive lots of support so I can go back and try more of the drinks they have to offer. In terms of seating, they don't offer any, but you can easily walk around the area and find some or walk while drinking. You can also get a stamp card to get a discount on your tenth return! TLDR: Amazing drinks, not too sweet, very refreshing. A great pick me up. Relatively not the cheapest but it's some of the best you're getting, especially in Manhattan. Definitely something to try. They also carry products from other Taiwanese and Taiwanese American vendors, such as loose leaf teas, jerky, and soaps.
