TDS Internet is easily the worst internet service I've dealt with. The service itself is unreliable, with frequent outages and slow speeds that make it hard to do anything online consistently. Customer service is just as bad. When you call for help, you're stuck on hold forever and then given the same basic troubleshooting script instead of any real solution. It feels like they don't actually care about fixing the problem. For what they charge, the quality of service is unacceptable. If you have literally any other option, I'd recommend avoiding TDS. read more

The installation of my first sign-up for TDS was smooth and timely and the service person was very nice. I've had the service for a year and a half now and this is the worst Internet streaming cable company I have dealt with ever . please fix your problems or you should be shut down as a company . Every day, I lose service, a minimum at least five times or more where I just have circles on my screen.. I have never been so frustrated with the company service as I am with TDS. They say they're putting new optics down. The people I know with new optics are having the same problems.. at least when I had the old cable, I didn't have this problem. There is absolutely no way to capture all of the negative associated with TDS. Horrible customer service. I tried multiple times to get my autopay to be set up correctly and get access to my account online. Failed numerous times with different representatives. Horrible communication from their reps. I have hundreds of dollars spent on reconnect fees because of my autopay failing. Attempted to recoup some of those fees, and despite having records I was denied. Poor internet reliability even when it was working. I can't say enough negative to truly capture my thoughts on my TDS experience. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never entertain the idea of using them again and would advise to look somewhere else. I am switching to starlink despite the increased cost. Definitely worth it to avoid this joke of a provider. read more

Bend Broadband Deplorable, pathetic customer service! I'm from out of town and was here in Prineville to help my elderly in-laws with a cable reception issue they've had for months. Because the phone wait times are in excess of 45 minutes I decided to go to their Prineville office. The first time I arrived a few minutes after 1pm. A temporary sign was on the door saying they were temporarily closed until 2pm. I went and got lunch and returned a few minutes before 2. The door was still locked and two people were ahead of me. Because it was 93 degrees outside most people waited in their cars with the AC going. However once the door was unlocked only one person was allowed in and the door locked. This created another problem. There was no system in place to know who's next in the parking lot. So, despite my heart condition I had no choice but to stand (no chairs or shade provided) in the direct blazing sun and wait or 'lose my place in line.' I understand the whole Covid thing and that businesses have had to modify their operations but it's inconceivable to me that any company who truly cares about their customers would choose to treat them this way. At 2:36 I was still standing in the sun cooking, forced to stay or lose my place in line. At about 2:40 I was 'next'. As I entered the lobby area in front of the customer service counter I couldn't help but note their was ample room for more than one customer while keeping 6' apart. The customer service rep was very courteous, I'm sure she has a really difficult job. I said I needed to speak with a supervisor first. She was typing on the key board while telling me none were available, it was Friday, she'd get them a message but I may not hear back till Tuesday of next week... When lo and behold a gentleman walked out of a nearby office. He introduced himself as Eric, the supervisor. After venting my frustrations as to his companies deplorable service, both telephone wait times and now this current situation he listened patiently and agreed they needed to improve their customer service protocols. Eric agreed to look into the TV service issue that originally brought me in. I gave him my cell number and left. About 30 minutes after leaving he called me and gave a few tips that may remedy the TV reception problem, otherwise I would need to call the service department and schedule a service call. I will be advising my in-laws to dump their cable and get Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. read more

I moved to Prineville in 2014, ISPs are limited here. I talked to several people before signing up with Crestview Cable. We were told the only other option would be a satellite, and after having incredibly bad experiences with satellite cable and internet I have exactly no desire to deal with them again. We, my husband and I, pay for second to top tier internet access know as Broadband Elite. It doesn't feel elite. We got tired of their router/modem rental not working. The wifi signal was so weak I couldn't access the internet through my console...that's ten feet away with nothing blocking it the space between the router/modem and XBox One. There was a lot of buffering and then just zero access. We got our own router/modem, a NetGear that is top-of-the-line. It took a WEEK for Crestview Cable to register it, and they did so only reluctantly, continually trying to convince us to rent one of theirs. The person I spoke to on the phone was being particularly rude, and took her sweet time doing anything. It wasn't until several days later that they sent a tech out because somehow we still weren't getting internet. He fixed the problem. Sort of. He was in a hurry because there are only two techs for this entire region and he had a dozen more appointments to get to that day. Prices have gone up, but service has not improved. Today I tried contacting a tech via their 24 hour chat. Her name is Stephanie. She asked for my name and phone number and went silent after that. I stated my problem, waited for a response...nothing. Asked if she's still there. Nothing. After 20 minutes I gave up and sent an email instead. Currently my internet is at a crawl. I can't upload anything regardless of what browser I use. I've done every troubleshoot you can think of. Contacted Microsoft, NetGear, FireFox, and all of them point to my ISP, meaning it's on Crestview Cable's end. I dread having to go to their office here in Prineville because no one there is anything but rude. I pay $165/month for internet and cable and am now seriously considering looking for a new ISP. Everyone I've spoken to regarding what's available has stated all the other options are just as bad if not worse. UPDATE: Today they sent a tech out, and he was able to figure out WTF was going on. The dropline I'm connect with is worthless and not working properly, and he'll be back out in a day or two in order to move me to a different dropline. He put what's called a "pad" on my router/modem to keep my internet connection consistent and at the speed I pay for. He also called the office to politely demand they reimburse me for this mess because it's been going on for so long, and I haven't been getting what I pay for. The call got a little heated, but he was very clear about the issue. The tech also explained that he went in and looked at the record for my internet connection. The short layman explanation is that he was able to see what my router/modem has been doing for the past several weeks. It's been really wonky, spiking and dropping regardless of what time of day it is, and compared it to the houses around me. I'm one of two people on this particular dropline, and the houses nearby are on another with NO problems whatsoever. I had this at one star, but the way the tech got things working and all but forced the office to comply with his demand of a reimbursement has brought it up to four stars. horrible phone system and the operators are from china or caribbean. i called 3 times on saturday, and could not understand the last one i talked with. i got irritated after 3 calls and says dont u know anything..and this customer service rep cancelled all my service. i have had no tv since that call. so i called back one more time to cancel and expect a refund cause i paid for whole month. so we shall see. but this is a point and i will take them to small claims if i have to. i am getting dish tomorrow and gues what all reps for dish are in the states!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

It is absolutely the worse Internet you could ever ask for. They dug up our property, relayed cables and never ever were able to give us real working service. The wi-fi with extender was horrendous, speed slow and they will just blame your equipment even though you rent the Modem from them. Terrible, terrible, terrible. I had employees yell at me, swear at me and the Manager Mike does nothing. Do not use them and unless Bend Broadband (the new name) changes things it won't be any better. TV channels are off and on, it's just a big waste of money. read more

When it comes to their customer service over the phone, only Linda from the Madras office is pleasant to talk with. Over the years I have had so many rude und unhelpful reps on the phone. Hands down WORST experience with an ISP I have ever had, considering I used comcast for several years, that says a lot. Not only have I consistently been under the speeds I pay for, their data cap comes with no warning if you hit 75 or 90% like everyone else, nope, you have to sign up for notifications using the same info they have on file.... redundancy seems to be their specialty. Called to have service moved on the 11, was told a tech would be out Friday. No contact at all Friday. Call Monday morning and was told he showed up and confirmed that we can indeed use internet there, then left. A work order was submitted stating that we can have the service and now we are waiting for them to come back and turn it on.... anyone that has a basic understanding of broadband knows how silly this whole process is. If I had not called asking whats going on we would have had zero contact until she found the work order "under a pile of papers" Yeah, she actually said that. She also admitted that he could have started service on Friday but didn't. This right here is what 82 bucks a month gets you in Prineville. The worst part is their complete lack of caring, never a sorry or we will get it handled. Just a "you don't have any other options". I have reached out via social media and have not one reply from them. Every phone call ends in frustration because the lady on the other end CLEARLY doesn't understand the tech her company uses. I am still a customer of theirs, I have no other option and they know it. If you don't need broadband go ANYWHERE else! Unless you enjoy spending 80 bucks a month for 4Mb/s.... not to mention, they openly admit to throttling bandwidth. Very, very unhappy. Every other utility was able to be changed over within a few days at most.... but one of the easiest ones to change over is still dragging it out. read more
