When you call for help, you're stuck on hold forever and then given the same basic troubleshooting script instead of any real solution. It feels like they don't actually care about fixing the problem. For what they charge, the quality of service is unacceptable. If you have literally any other option, I'd recommend avoiding TDS.

I live up Juniper canyon in PLA2. I have done a lot of controlled internet tests on their 25/5 plan…read moreover the past months. Everything works great besides peak hours between 6pm and 930pm. Their internet goes down the drain during these hours. On average I see my speeds drop in half and sometimes lower during peak hours. The other disturbing thing is, during these hours Im seeing bufferbloat with an increase in latency during downloads, even when I connect my PC directly to the dish. This tells me that there is a bottleneck happening during peak hours and their networking hardware cant handle the throughput. I know I am on a new system and have been told that they are not over superscribed and they don't have many people on this node. Knowing this I fear whats gonna happen when more people do get on this network and they don't fix the currently situation. Prinetime tells me they do not see any problems.

Two of the rooms in our house didn't even get it, and our place is about 1200 sq ft. Century Link on the other has been OUTSTANDING! We switched to them about 6 months back, haven't had to reset our router even one time, we get the same quality WiFi in every room of the house, and only pay $50. Can't speak to the customer service because we haven't had to call them since installation, but I can say that the service we got that day was awesome. The guy showed up early, got it installed wicked fast, and then we shared pictures of our dogs and he helped me find some cool places to visit on the southern coast for our upcoming road trip. Might have had some issues in the past, but everything seems to be flawless w this company now!

The lady helping us kept talking about how they don't know what they're doing and are "causing problems for us again." Call…read moretech support, wait 45 min on hold before getting a tech support person, work with tech support for 45 min to troubleshoot, tech says nothing more he can do over the phone, so set up service appointment at tech's recommendation, availability more than a week out, schedule appointment for about 10days out, get a 4-hour window when I have to wait at home for their tech (ok, pretty standard), days later receive VM from BendBroadband telling me I need to call their tele-help number to troubleshoot over the phone first or they'll cancel my service appointment. Wha?! I call back, wait on hold for 45 min until a real person answers, make sure they understand I've already spent 45 min troubleshooting over the phone and it's their tech who told me to make a service appointment. Appointment day arrives, I wait at home for tech during the four hour window, 3 1/2 hours in I get a call: we're running an hour late. An hour and a-half later 5 two techs finally arrive. They make some adjustment, say it's all fixed, and in 30 min. they are gone. That's truly noteworthy service. Next-day update: Conducted a speed test of my high-speed BendBroadband service: 0.53 Mbps download, 5.13 Mbps upload.
