Unfortunately that's before I was sold on one service, and then slipped a contract for a different service that operates at 1/10 the speed and locked into a 2 year contract. I'm a business owner, not a network engineer. A difference like that needs to be explained before just giving me a bait and switch inside of a contract. When I reached out to try and come to a resolution I was Chastised by my sales person Doug because I contacted the wrong account manager who coincidentally seemed to be the only person willing to help. After that I simply wanted to be let you of the contract I was tricked into agreeing to. Today I was informed that the cancellation cost would be over 4 thousand dollars. I'm absolutely sick to my stomach over the experience, and can't believe its happening from a local company inside of Bend.

Wha?! I call back, wait on hold for 45 min until a real person answers, make sure they understand I've already spent 45 min troubleshooting over the phone and it's their tech who told me to make a service appointment. Appointment day arrives, I wait at home for tech during the four hour window, 3 1/2 hours in I get a call: we're running an hour late. An hour and a-half later 5 two techs finally arrive. They make some adjustment, say it's all fixed, and in 30 min. they are gone. That's truly noteworthy service. Next-day update: Conducted a speed test of my high-speed BendBroadband service: 0.53 Mbps download, 5.13 Mbps upload.

To avoid any budget surprises, I would recommend confirming upfront how many technicians will be assigned to the job. Overall, I would work with Jason again and would recommend him to others. UPDATE- I had a small leak with one of the toilets and Jason came out right away to adjust it. He definitely stands behind his work! I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max and was upgrading to the 17 Pro max...huge improvement! Mind you, my 12 was paid off. (I would hope so by now with how old it was.) I decided not to trade it in because it still works; it's just slow, and if ever I needed it, I'd have it. It was never mentioned that I had to trade it in. So, as the sales rep is transferring things over, he starts telling me that I'll have to keep my old phone activated on the account for 36 months until my new phone is paid off. It didn't sound right, but maybe because I was keeping the old phone, it made things harder, idk. He puts my old phone on a new line and gives me a new number for that device and gets my new phone set up. I then ask him directly, "So, because I'm not trading this phone in, I have to have service to it until my new phone is paid off?" "Yes, that is correct." I'm in no position to argue with someone "doing their job." I finish up at the store and go on about my day. I realized later on that he had added Verizon's device protection to both phones and the Netflix/HBO max perk even though I specifically said I don't need that and I already had a Netflix subscription. So with everything minus the taxes, I was looking at $157 a month for a brand-new phone and a burner phone I'd keep in a drawer. I vented to a few people about my experience and finally decided to call Verizon's customer support and figure out what the reason is for making me keep my old, paid-off phone activated on top of the $1600 phone I just bought. The customer service rep verbatim asked me if I was joking and said, "I'm pissed." "That's bullshit," so he knew that I got one pulled over on me and that the sales rep in the store was doing what he could to make a bonus/commission. He immediately deactivated my old phone from the account and explained everything that should have happened and what to expect with my phone bill from here on out. Just be mindful when you do go into the stores and listen to your gut because sometimes they're just as bad as car salesmen.

Plenty of sanitizer where I could clean off my fingers and begin the process of fingerprinting, and digitally! I did not know that was what was in store for me but I couldn't have been happier to not be coated in ink! Their COVID-19 safety measures were definitely up to par, I appreciated how friendly and professional they were. I wish I was able to have snagged a photo of the great gentleman that helped me out, but know I was very thankful for the help getting some of my final steps through for my new job ahead! I will definitely be back in if I ever have any computer needs! Thank you!
