I first sent an email, and a week went by without any response. After following up, I was asked for additional model information, which I immediately provided. A week later, I was told the replacement part was not available. I then found a replacement keyboard online and asked if it would work. The answer was yes, but only if a special tool was used, and they do not have this tool. Response received: "That would work, if I had the equipment to heat mold the keyboard in. Unfortunately, the keyboard is attached with melted plastic, not screws, so it requires special equipment. I would need the entire palmrest/upper case to do the repair." Communication was slow, and there was little expressed interest in completing the repair I need.. ASUS has also not been helpful. The result is that I have a 2-year-old laptop that is close to unusable because of a non-functioning "E".

So, there was a lot of dead in my day... And then I called Michael and Paula at MPS Consulting. And my day was filled with a lot less six feet under. In fact, it was transformed by an excellent service response time, great conversation while the problem was assessed, and the verdict that while my battery in fact had bit the dust, my laptop was salvageable, and I was back in business and working away in less than 2 hours! To top it off, both Michael and Paula are very knowledgable about Apple products, have great service and rates, and will recycle parts as well as assist you in buying your next laptop. Finally making this review. He doesn't even deserve a one star. This guy picked up my 27 inch Mac and my older MacBook Pro so he could update the operating systems. He pulls up in a crappy extremely unprofessional car and puts it facedown in the trunk on a blanket. That should've been my first red flag right there because I have the original box but he said he didn't want to use it. after working on it, he brought it back and things still weren't right so he took it again. Then when he couldn't get the Bluetooth mouse to connect with out a mouse at my home that was not Bluetooth he asked me if I wanted to go to Walmart with him to get one. (Seriously why doesn't he travel with a mouse that has a USB connect. ) What a creep! And when he brought the computer back, I explain to him that my 80,000 photos and 30,000 videos were no longer on my computer. He said yes they are there's 31,000 photos. I said no those are the ones on the cloud. He promised he would back up those photos and videos before he ever took my computer apart. I was VERY CLEAR The above mentioned photos that were not on the cloud had been taken and upload with an SD card. I was very clear about making sure they were backed up. I even gave him 2 hard drives to back them up onto in case they weren't there. I wasn't sure what was on either one, but gave him permission to use them. I paid this guy over $1000 and it has taken me a couple years to get to this review. I'm still so distraught and I would say to anybody looking for computer repair never ever trust this guy and he is so creepy. He talks so smooth but don't believe what he says. I'm making this post because it is so important for others to know that this is NOT someone u would ever trust. I could say so much more about my horrible experience and the tears I shed, but if I can at least convey to anybody looking for computer repair, I would suggest that you never ever talk to this guy!
