TDS does not prorate, so I canceled my service today March 4th and I have to pay for service through March 22nd. Be aware!

I was on hold for 55minutes, only to have to representative rude and very dismissive. I had a question on my bill and she talked over me the whole time and yelled at me. we pay an outrageous price for a crappy service to be treated like crap when you call to speak to them. she argued with me saying that I signed up for paperless billing and I totally didn't. overall I would never recommend tds to anyone unless they don't have any other options. They are a very rude unprofessional company. With spotty service, they never send out any notices of any maintenance. They just expect you to be OK with not having your Internet service for that day without any kind of compensation or apology. read more

Heads up on TDS internet... They "do not practice "pro-rate" charges". We canceled our internet and are only 3 days into the month and are still being charged for the entire months bill. Make sure you plan on canceling TDS appropriately so you aren't charged for services they are not providing. They will not offer an "exception to policy" and are not willing to work with us in any way. Absolutely garbage customer service and one of the most ridiculous business practices I've ever heard of. The "supervisor" Rachel was not willing to work with us in any way and was absolutely set in charging the full months bill for 3 days of use. Charged over $250 for installation when their website specifically says home internet installation is $45. No one ever told me that DSL installation is an "add-on" for $200. On top of that, the technician refused to crawl under our home to install the DSL, so I had to do that service myself and was still charged for it. Got a whopping $511 bill for my first month. In my first month with TDS I had to call 4 different times because my service kept disconnecting and stayed disconnected for days. After 4 visits they finally fixed my problem on the last visit. In a total of 2 months I have spent almost $700 with this company. I'm disconnecting my service with them and wouldn't recommend this company to any one. I spoke with a customer service agent and they provided me a different number to call and disconnected me. Go with literally anyone else. This a zero star review but I can't leave 0 stars. I pay over a $100 dollars a month easily for WiFi that is not existent. I rarely get service at all. To often my WiFi is out. I can't play online games with friends reliably, I can't stream TV, YouTube or anything along those lines. I can't use my computer for work. I can't do anything. It truly is the worst internet I've ever had. Hands down without a doubt. read more

Been on Ft Carson for a year and a half and this company clearly takes advantage of their monopoly. They charge $20 more per month for less speed than off post companies. Not only do they charge this exorbitant fee, their service goes in and out every day. I can't remember the last time I didn't have to reset my router just to continue internet service. When I called to inquire about this I was told that they only guarantee internet service if I rented their equipment for an additional $10 a month. This company is a racket and runs like an absolute monopoly. read more

I canceled my service back in July and turned everything in was told I was "all good" however I made sure to specifically ask if there was any carry over fees I needed to take care of. again I was told no and that I was good to go. fast forward to today where I receive a call from a debt collector saying I owed $120. I was obviously very confused considering I had heard nothing from tds. I went to this location to see what was going on and was told to contact financial services Where they basically told me it was my fault and they had nothing to do with what happed. I again stated how I was told I had no more fees to pay and that i had not received any thing from tds in the form of call, text, email, or mail. again they told me it's not there fault. I would not be as upset had they just contacted me to fix this however to receive a call from a debt collector Two weeks from Christmas is the best early present I could have asked for. if I could do 0 stars I would. They never send the bills out properly and only send them if we're late and try to charge us double even if it's only a few days late, the service sucks we have the highest speed but acts like we don't even have internet, they are trying to charge us $235 this month (even though we payed last month) and one of their customer service representatives after stating our bill is $235 because we have a $25 reconnect fee (our service never got disconnected) tried telling me 120+25=235 which it doesn't it equals 145 but wouldn't tell me where the other $90 is coming from. if I had a choice I would change companies but don't because I live on post. TDS sucks and if you have the choice I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you choose some other company! read more

I pay for the 600MBPS download and 20MBPS upload and I'm getting 90MBPS download and 0.3 YES 0.3 upload. When I have called, I've been on hold for two hours at one point. I'll just hit the basics since it'll describe my experience with tds here. Went through tds to have internet in my barracks since they were far superior to the internet already there. Had no problems at first, but shortly after I started having problem after problem. I couldn't go a whole week without having outages ranging from a few minutes to hours. I thought maybe it was a barracks thing. No big deal at the time, just a inconvenience. Well, after being married and living on post for months now, I've given tds a fair amount of time to impress me at my new residence and boy have they let me down again. If I could get another internet company on post other than the other company, I would. I'm sure as heck not going with tds when I'm off post here soon. This last month alone I've had tds come to my home and attempt to "fix" whatever is wrong with my internet 3 separate times. I've had to call 5 times all together in 2 weeks. I've had nothing but outages non stop for over 2 and a half months. My internet is currently out right this moment actually. (I have yet another appointment for them to come to my house in the coming days) To clear things up, I'm not calling for petty things and short outages, I'm calling when I've had no internet for over an hour each time. I might as well be throwing money into a dumpster and burning it rather than paying this company for internet. I'd give them 0 stars if I could because I have 0 internet more than I have any internet. Customer service is hit and miss. Some workers on the other end of the phone try to help you, others sigh and have a condescending tone in their voice when you try to explain the situation to them. Hit and miss really. My review is pretty one sided because that's the only side tds has ever shown me. I'd be happy to change my review to a more positive one, but I have nothing good to say anymore. read more

Tech support says they cannot send a technician out to troubleshoot to see if they can even fix the problem until December 4. Worst internet service I have ever had. even worse customer service. I live on Fort Carson and unfortunately TDS is the only option. To put simply the service is trash. Half the time it doesn't work, but then you call and they go through the usual crap.. "did you reset your router?" Unplug it then wait... pure and simple it's crap, wish post would get Xfinity instead. Half the cost(literally) and far better. But hey when your guaranteed the only company in an area and you know the post doesn't care to redo the contract why change or do better? Trash! Utter garbage! I live in a small, desert town (in which TDS is the Only ISP)! I've had them for years now and I can honestly say, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on this sorry excuse for an Internet Service Provider! The connection is conatantly dropping! No matter what channel I am using, it bears the same result! 11 channels and not a single useful one among them. I've tried resetting my router by both pressing the button in the back as well as doing a refresh via browser. No good. At best I get a few seconds from that before dropping out again. Unplugging the freakin thing & plugging it back in. Nothing works. I even have tried cutting off wifi on every last device in my home with the exception of one (though I pay for way more). I have called "customer service" and had absolutely no success. They tell me to do each and every thing I have attempted prior (even when I tell them all of these things already)! When the CS Rep. can't figure out what the problem is either, They get flustered and short Me! When I finally move out of this town, I'll NEVER EVER EVER go back to TDS. Get dropped by ME for a change. Save yourself an aneurysm and don't pay for TDS. read more
