Fiber has recently reached our neck of the woods with another provider who offered a smashing 6-month deal, but in the end we've decided to stick with Kellin. Kellin has impeccable one-on-one customer support, where you can speak with a human, and get whatever issue resolved in a timely / friendly manner. We have had very few (emphasis on "very few") issues with Kellin over the years (most were the fault of outside causes like cut cables), and when researching the competition and learning how difficult it is to reach them, and are slow to respond (especially after the initial sale has completed), we are most assuredly staying with Kellin Communications. read more

I just wanted to share the horrible experience I'm having with Kellin Communications. I switched to Conexon Connect fiber simply because they offered the speed that Kellin couldn't give me in Peyton. I had no issues with Kellin previously, and I told them that when I called to cancel. I made an appointment to have them come and pick up the old device and told them to take my final payment out so my contract could be closed out. My appointment came and went on Wednesday, which I cleared my entire day to be available. I call, they say they have the appointment for Friday. Fine, I wait all day Friday and no one shows up. I email them Monday, they say someone should be there Tuesday. Now we're to Wednesday and still no one has shown up. I have never missed a payment. I have never complained. I have been nothing but nice the one or two times I had connection issues because their tech support was very helpful. What I don't understand is why they can't handle coming and grabbing a single device and being done with it. I already unhooked and packed the parts from the house, and I told them so. I don't know if they're retaliating because I'm canceling or if it's just incompetence, but this is my warning to avoid Kellin unless you want an absolute headache when you go to cancel. read more

We use Kellin Communications for our internet paying for 100 mbps down which would be everything we need, if we actually got anything close to those speeds. Every evening starting around 7:30 pm when we settle down to stream a show, the speeds drop to below 7 mbps with it often being well below 4 mbps. This is extremely frustrating and the only response we receive when contacting them is that they have some type of issue that is causing the dramatic slowdown in speeds. While we do not have great options yet, we do have fiber installation scheduled for this next year and if this is not fixed, we will certainly be moving our business. read more

Kellin Communications - Telecommunications Near Me

We have had Kellin for over 5 years and have been quite please with their Internet. From day 1 when they installed the first system, working on the roof, bringing the wiring to our router, and making sure all was as it should be. I have been able to call tech support and have gotten their help on any issue. When I bought a new router they helped set it up and it worked perfectly. When Kellin upgrade their transmission they sent one of their tech people to our house to change the system on our roof and now we are getting a consistent 100+ internet speed. THANK YOU KELLIN!!! read more

We have had Kellin Communications for over five years and are very happy with them. They are very professional and are quick to fix issues. We live in a very rural part of the state and are very grateful for the service that Kellin Communications gives us. read more

Always treated me right. Tech support has been spot on. Of course weather affects this type of internet.

We were on the basic plan with Kellen Communications and then with an upgraded TV and Computer, Jay our Service Person Jay, helped us realize we were not getting enough WI-FI delivered to our house, and we needed a much better Router. We are up the CMC Road and are in direct line of sight to the Kellin Communications Tower. We upgraded to 110 MBPS and we now have excellent WI-FI! Thank you, Kellin Communications, for bring such quality and service to the Roaring Fork Valley! Patricia B. read more

Nathan and Tyler and everyone in the office are amazing. They are great with communicating with you about your service and billing. If you live in the south eastern part of Colorado I would suggest you use Kellin Communications. They are very reliable. read more

We made the change from Centurylink to Kellin last month and we're so happy that we did. I had been a customer of Centurylink throughout its many name changes for the last 23 years. Their internet service is appalling. We were recommended by one of our neighbors to Kellin and we've been very happy with their service. No problems with the internet and great customer service. Highly recommend. 5+ stars to Kellin. read more

Wish I could add more stars. Just called in for wifi speed issue. Instant access to a real tech who solved my issue quickly with great attitude. The kicker is the issue we had wasn't due to Kellin equipment! We are extremely satisfied customers!! Thanks Kellin! read more

Kellen's communication has been a great company to me and my family. I was out of work for about two months now they kept my service up and I have problems. I could give them a call and they were right there. their price is also lower than Verizon and T-Mobile by 1000% so if you're looking great service great value, please give them a call. read more

My family and I suffered with Exede satellite for too many years; data caps, outages, expensive, etc. I am extremely happy with Kellin! It's fast, reliable , and Kellin provides excellent customer service. Highly recommended! read more

Kellin is the best! Literally THE BEST customer service. I cannot recommend them enough especially if you are in a remote area. Their tech support is personal and YOU get a call back always.... even if you don't need one. I once called and realized I unplugged my modem and I hung up before I spoke to someone and they called me just to make sure everything was ok. THEY ROCK! read more

Super helpful, not restrictive, and extremely reliable internet. Struggled with 4K data usage and different companies restricting data usage kellen communications a no Brainerd with virtually no restriction. Highly recommended! read more

We've had nothing but great experience with Kellin. Great communication and great service.

Internet has been down since at least mid day. Their website http://Kellin.net is also down and the support voicemail is full (can't get anyone on the phone). There is no way to report an outage, let alone get an ETR. With COVID going on we're all working from home but this service is making it impossible. We live in a rural area so there aren't many options. We don't have good cell signal here either so when Kellin is down we are completely disconnected. I've had it for almost 3 years and when it works it's great but since March 2020 it's been up and down pretty regularly. read more

I dropped Century Link in favor of Kellin. While the speeds out in Black Forest are better than my previous service, the network goes up and down fairly regularly, especially during peak hours. To make matters worse, when I call tech support I have to leave a voicemail. Sometimes they don't call me back for two days, and when they do, the technician has no idea it's been that long since I left the message. They merely check the line at the present time, confirm it's running at promised speeds, and hang up. They have no idea why the network dropped in the first place, and no means to do any analysis as to why it keeps going down. read more

I could not imagine a worse internet provider than Kellin. There are regular outtages (one per week at least) and the internet speed is unreliable. I have had problems working from home and I am consistently staying up later than I should so I don't have to deal with the speeds at peak hours. Recently there was an issue causing extremely slow speeds and Kellin's website said it would be fixed by 8 pm. It wasn't ficked until 1 pm the next day. Furthermore, when we tried to upgrade our service Kellin said they couldn't because we already used too much internet. I am sad that I am paying to keep this company in business. read more

When I first signed up, the Internet speeds were good. But for whatever reason the Internet will just dump out for no reason, customer service is impossible to get ahold of, you have to put in a repair ticket because no one will answer the phone, but you never get a response back from anyone and the only way you know your Internet is back up is by monitoring it yourself. Very unreliable for anyone with a home business. And just like all the big companies if you use too much they will throttle back the speed substantially. Still better than century link by 30 miles. read more

I have been very pleased with Kellin since moving away from HughesNet around 18 months ago. Given the remote area that we live in, we were pleasantly surprised when Kellin constructed a new tower in the Peyton, CO area which *finally* provided us an alternative to satellite internet. We've had occasional outages with most lasting less than two hours. There was a prolonged outage starting Friday, June 14th around 2:00 PM, and the person that answered the tech support line informed me that a fiber cable had been severed by road construction crews along I-25 near Monument, CO. Multiple ISP's were impacted. The tech support person also informed me that they are accelerating plans to establish a secondary physical link to prevent future outages caused by such physical damage. We did notice a minor performance degradation during working hours during the Covid-19 lock-down, but that was not surprising given the increase of people working from home. read more

I was with CenturyLink for nearly 5 years - the best nominal speed I could buy at my home in Black Forest was 10 mbps, which yielded real download speeds from 7 to 9 mbps, with +- 1 mbps upload speed consistently. Kellin sent a mailing claiming they could get me 15 mbps down and 5 mbps up, so I had them come out to the house to run a signal test. I had a strong line of sight signal to their Calhan tower so I had them connect. After installation, I was tickled pink - I was getting 18mbps down and 5 mbps up with low latency and jitter. They did the install during the day when use on their network is low so full speeds are attainable and speed tests are very impressive. The problem occurs in the evening during prime time when their download speed decreases to 3 mbps or less. Completely unsuitable for streaming Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, etc. Streaming video buffers, pixelates and stops. You can set your clock on this behavior - from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the service becomes virtually unusable for anything but low bandwidth applications. I have hundreds of speed tests to document this. I worked with their tech support folks on many occasions and we tried everything. I even upgraded my wi-fi system to a state of the art mesh network system, but nothing worked. This prime time slowdown is just part of their network - it's oversubscribed and when users come home from work and start using the internet for entertainment, it becomes useless. If you don't need much bandwidth in the evening, this is a reliable, fast service, but unfortunately this service profile doesn't work for me and my family. So, reluctantly, I am switching back to Century Link where I at least know that I'll get 7 to 9 mbps reliably which will work for streaming video services. read more

This is hands down the worst ISP i have worked with. I live in the country, so i give a lot of leeway because connectivity will never be like living with fiber speed etc. But that's not the issue. They do maintence during peak hours, they will never give a credit for thier mistakes or outages and to top it off the techs are horrible. They can't fix anything (or wont). And they will hang up the call knowing the service is horrible. No escalation, just "to bad, so sad". I wish i could give a zero. read more

They are theirs started service on the 14th that's when they started take money from the account over a years time they moved taking money on the 1st so they took two weeks worth of money for no service cancelled service on the 23rd and they still took money on the first didn't have service for a week and a half before they came out to fix it on their end and no credit just sorry for your luck read more

Started off decent, but now we are getting slow speeds almost every night. Result ID 7644629850 - 9.66 Mbps Result ID 7644632526 - 8.14 Mbps Result ID 7644634784 - 5.58 Mbps This is starting to get old. We are not getting download speeds above 10 Mbps in the evenings. We pay for 15 Mbps and we cannot even get 10 Mbps down. Please fix your network. You will pay WAY too much for service. Unless this is your ONLY choice, do not switch. It is not worth it. read more

I guess I should of read this REVIEWS before I decided to have them as my internet company!! The installer was RUDE!! Walked on my carpet when I asked him not too with his shoes, left a mess after drilling a hole in the wall, didn't clean the mess up. Then within the first 30 days I had a lightening strike. They honored their warranty, same RUDE/UNPROFESSIONAL guy showed up. Was short and didn't want to be there. I had other people doing repairs, they thought the same as me. ATTITUDE!! HE didn't' make sure the TV, Direct boxes or anything connected to the internet was working properly. I have called they didn't fix it, left 3 messages with no return calls. ONLY Have I shut down their automatic payment did someone call me!! Their phone service is crappy, constantly cuts out, you can only hear every 4th word, they tell me to try all these things I had already done. Then when I said I can understand him due to their phone service, he tells me he will call me back when it is working. WELL Their phone service is ALWAYS like that!! CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! PERIOD!! But they want your MONEY ........ but wont fix their mistakes!! SAD a company can't even AFFORD A LANDLINE to have a good stable connection to have a conversation with a customer!!! read more

Kellin as an alternative to CenturyLink is as good as it gets. Installation went flawlessly and the service and support has been impeccable. There have been fewer outages than with the CenturyLink service and when there is trouble, they have been professional and courteous. read more

When internet goes down, forget it! No one is there to answer phones, mailboxes fill up or lines is busy. Unreliable company.

Garbage service and speeds. They don't care at all! Typing this from phone as I'm going on 32 hours with no internet (everyone is down, not just me) their recording states they have no ETA on when it will be fixed. Nobody there knows anything. Myself and everyone I know on Kellin experiances terrible packet loss in the evenings from 7ish pm until about midnight. Net is nearly unusable. I have fought with them over this for 6 months and they couldn't care less. Stay way... read more

Kellin talks a great game but when their package promises to deliver 15 mbps and you can't get over 2 mbps something is wrong. Calls to customer service always result in someone in a hurry telling you they'll look into it. They have oversubscribed pure and simple. Horrible excuse for an ISP. read more

This company could only be staying in business from people who have no other option. It's $70 / month for 15 mbs service. My actual measured speed for the last couple months is .5 - 5 mbs during peak hours. They aren't the worst ISP I've had, but they are close. I almost never get the full speed I pay for. I can't wait until I move and have other options. read more

They just upgraded my equipment and the speeds are fantastic! Great customer service too!

when they installed the system - owner Kelly was the tech and was short and rude. left zip ties etc left all over the areas worked. Just had service outage - took 36 hours to address on their end... a flip of a switch read more

Poor phone service, garbled, disconnects, lots of pissed off customers. I use Kellin for my business phone line and have been having consistant problems for better part of 6 months now. The tech support is a joke, and the problems continue unresolved. Price might be decent, but apparently just a few more dollars a month is all it costs for service that actually works. read more
