We have had Kellin for over 5 years and have been quite please with their Internet. From day 1 when they installed the first system, working on the roof, bringing the wiring to our router, and making sure all was as it should be. I have been able to call tech support and have gotten their help on any issue. When I bought a new router they helped set it up and it worked perfectly. When Kellin upgrade their transmission they sent one of their tech people to our house to change the system on our roof and now we are getting a consistent 100+ internet speed. We were on the basic plan with Kellen Communications and then with an upgraded TV and Computer, Jay our Service Person Jay, helped us realize we were not getting enough WI-FI delivered to our house, and we needed a much better Router. We are up the CMC Road and are in direct line of sight to the Kellin Communications Tower. We upgraded to 110 MBPS and we now have excellent WI-FI! Internet has been down since at least mid day. Their website http://Kellin.net is also down and the support voicemail is full (can't get anyone on the phone). There is no way to report an outage, let alone get an ETR. With COVID going on we're all working from home but this service is making it impossible. We live in a rural area so there aren't many options. We don't have good cell signal here either so when Kellin is down we are completely disconnected. I've had it for almost 3 years and when it works it's great but since March 2020 it's been up and down pretty regularly. read more

I dropped Century Link in favor of Kellin. While the speeds out in Black Forest are better than my previous service, the network goes up and down fairly regularly, especially during peak hours. To make matters worse, when I call tech support I have to leave a voicemail. Sometimes they don't call me back for two days, and when they do, the technician has no idea it's been that long since I left the message. They merely check the line at the present time, confirm it's running at promised speeds, and hang up. They have no idea why the network dropped in the first place, and no means to do any analysis as to why it keeps going down. read more

I could not imagine a worse internet provider than Kellin. There are regular outtages (one per week at least) and the internet speed is unreliable. I have had problems working from home and I am consistently staying up later than I should so I don't have to deal with the speeds at peak hours. Recently there was an issue causing extremely slow speeds and Kellin's website said it would be fixed by 8 pm. It wasn't ficked until 1 pm the next day. Furthermore, when we tried to upgrade our service Kellin said they couldn't because we already used too much internet. I am sad that I am paying to keep this company in business. read more

When I first signed up, the Internet speeds were good. But for whatever reason the Internet will just dump out for no reason, customer service is impossible to get ahold of, you have to put in a repair ticket because no one will answer the phone, but you never get a response back from anyone and the only way you know your Internet is back up is by monitoring it yourself. Very unreliable for anyone with a home business. And just like all the big companies if you use too much they will throttle back the speed substantially. I was with CenturyLink for nearly 5 years - the best nominal speed I could buy at my home in Black Forest was 10 mbps, which yielded real download speeds from 7 to 9 mbps, with +- 1 mbps upload speed consistently. Kellin sent a mailing claiming they could get me 15 mbps down and 5 mbps up, so I had them come out to the house to run a signal test. I had a strong line of sight signal to their Calhan tower so I had them connect. After installation, I was tickled pink - I was getting 18mbps down and 5 mbps up with low latency and jitter. They did the install during the day when use on their network is low so full speeds are attainable and speed tests are very impressive. The problem occurs in the evening during prime time when their download speed decreases to 3 mbps or less. Completely unsuitable for streaming Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, etc. Streaming video buffers, pixelates and stops. You can set your clock on this behavior - from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM, the service becomes virtually unusable for anything but low bandwidth applications. I have hundreds of speed tests to document this. I worked with their tech support folks on many occasions and we tried everything. I even upgraded my wi-fi system to a state of the art mesh network system, but nothing worked. This prime time slowdown is just part of their network - it's oversubscribed and when users come home from work and start using the internet for entertainment, it becomes useless. If you don't need much bandwidth in the evening, this is a reliable, fast service, but unfortunately this service profile doesn't work for me and my family. So, reluctantly, I am switching back to Century Link where I at least know that I'll get 7 to 9 mbps reliably which will work for streaming video services. read more

I have been very pleased with Kellin since moving away from HughesNet around 18 months ago. Given the remote area that we live in, we were pleasantly surprised when Kellin constructed a new tower in the Peyton, CO area which *finally* provided us an alternative to satellite internet. We've had occasional outages with most lasting less than two hours. There was a prolonged outage starting Friday, June 14th around 2:00 PM, and the person that answered the tech support line informed me that a fiber cable had been severed by road construction crews along I-25 near Monument, CO. Multiple ISP's were impacted. The tech support person also informed me that they are accelerating plans to establish a secondary physical link to prevent future outages caused by such physical damage. We did notice a minor performance degradation during working hours during the Covid-19 lock-down, but that was not surprising given the increase of people working from home. read more

This is hands down the worst ISP i have worked with. I live in the country, so i give a lot of leeway because connectivity will never be like living with fiber speed etc. But that's not the issue. They do maintence during peak hours, they will never give a credit for thier mistakes or outages and to top it off the techs are horrible. They can't fix anything (or wont). And they will hang up the call knowing the service is horrible. No escalation, just "to bad, so sad". I wish i could give a zero. read more

They are theirs started service on the 14th that's when they started take money from the account over a years time they moved taking money on the 1st so they took two weeks worth of money for no service cancelled service on the 23rd and they still took money on the first didn't have service for a week and a half before they came out to fix it on their end and no credit just sorry for your luck read more

Started off decent, but now we are getting slow speeds almost every night. We pay for 15 Mbps and we cannot even get 10 Mbps down. Please fix your network. You will pay WAY too much for service. Unless this is your ONLY choice, do not switch. It is not worth it. read more

I guess I should of read this REVIEWS before I decided to have them as my internet company!! The installer was RUDE!! Walked on my carpet when I asked him not too with his shoes, left a mess after drilling a hole in the wall, didn't clean the mess up. Then within the first 30 days I had a lightening strike. They honored their warranty, same RUDE/UNPROFESSIONAL guy showed up. Was short and didn't want to be there. I had other people doing repairs, they thought the same as me. ATTITUDE!! HE didn't' make sure the TV, Direct boxes or anything connected to the internet was working properly. I have called they didn't fix it, left 3 messages with no return calls. ONLY Have I shut down their automatic payment did someone call me!! Their phone service is crappy, constantly cuts out, you can only hear every 4th word, they tell me to try all these things I had already done. Then when I said I can understand him due to their phone service, he tells me he will call me back when it is working. WELL Their phone service is ALWAYS like that!! CRAPPY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! PERIOD!! But they want your MONEY ........ but wont fix their mistakes!! SAD a company can't even AFFORD A LANDLINE to have a good stable connection to have a conversation with a customer!!! read more

Kellin as an alternative to CenturyLink is as good as it gets. Installation went flawlessly and the service and support has been impeccable. There have been fewer outages than with the CenturyLink service and when there is trouble, they have been professional and courteous. read more

Garbage service and speeds. They don't care at all! Typing this from phone as I'm going on 32 hours with no internet (everyone is down, not just me) their recording states they have no ETA on when it will be fixed. Nobody there knows anything. Myself and everyone I know on Kellin experiances terrible packet loss in the evenings from 7ish pm until about midnight. Net is nearly unusable. Kellin talks a great game but when their package promises to deliver 15 mbps and you can't get over 2 mbps something is wrong. Calls to customer service always result in someone in a hurry telling you they'll look into it. They have oversubscribed pure and simple. Horrible excuse for an ISP. read more

This company could only be staying in business from people who have no other option. It's $70 / month for 15 mbs service. My actual measured speed for the last couple months is .5 - 5 mbs during peak hours. They aren't the worst ISP I've had, but they are close. I almost never get the full speed I pay for. Poor phone service, garbled, disconnects, lots of pissed off customers. I use Kellin for my business phone line and have been having consistant problems for better part of 6 months now. The tech support is a joke, and the problems continue unresolved. Price might be decent, but apparently just a few more dollars a month is all it costs for service that actually works. read more
