It was Easter Sunday. Apr 5, 2026. This was my first visit to TDLLO Ramen & Sushi. There was a cocktail bar and a sushi bar. I opted for a table (not the booth). The decor included dark wooden furniture, hardwood floors, door curtains for kitchen, and a ceiling lamp in the shape of a fish. On each table was a pale bottle with a small spout and a large stopper. This was for the black sauce, and the first time I have seen black sauce provided at tables in anything other than the small transparent bottle with double-spout cap. Next to the kitchen doorway was a black board announcing "What's New". The menu is printed on black-colored pages bound by black leather cover, which matched the black uniforms of the staff. I ordered my usual ramen: tonkotsu. It was served with a renge and a fork, the latter for those uncomfortable with using chopsticks. That didn't apply to me. I put the fork to the side and used the wooden chopsticks. The tonkotsu had three thick pieces of chasu, lots of menma slices, some kikurage strips, and a soft-boiled egg served in two halves. Though a little saltier than I would like, the broth was still delicious and complimented the food well, especially the chasu. It had a mild spiciness that caused slight irritation to my throat, but otherwise was worth consuming the entire bowl. It was about 11:10am when I arrived. Besides myself, there was one other party of two. The cocktail bar had two large TVs, one playing CNN and the other playing a sports program. The volume level was barely a whisper. Most of the time, I didn't hear anything. By 11:45am, two more parties of two showed up. The atmosphere was quiet the entire time, and definitely a great place to relax and enjoy a meal during lunch time. As I was leaving, I took a look at the outdoor dining area. It is housed in a patio next to the building. It has plenty of seating and is almost enclosed but for a cased doorway. I was impressed that TDLLO is accommodating to its customers during rain or shine (unlike Noodles Blvd in Cary). I returned on Jul 3, 2026, this time with a friend. We chose a booth and were served by a young lady Lexi. My friend and I ordered veggie ramen and shoyu ramen respectively. Had I paid attention to the picture in the menu, I would not be surprised when the shoyu ramen was served. It had two thick slices of chasu, a soft-boiled egg cut in two halves, lots of corn kernels, slices of fish cake and menma. Essentially, it was tonkotsu ramen with more ingredients. The pork broth tasted saltier than the tonkotsu's but without the mild spiciness of the latter. The saltiness was also apparent in my friend's veggie ramen. The shoyu ramen I had at S.E.A Ramen & Asian Kitchen (Knoxville, TN) had a different broth. It was shoyu, not pork bone, and the flavor wasn't as strong. In contrast, TDLLO's shoyu ramen had a much richer flavor. The saltiness didn't ruin the dining experience. Like the last visit, there was plenty of seating. The quiet atmosphere was conducive for conversations without having to raise our voices. Customer service was smooth. Lexi made sure we were pleased with everything. As we were leaving, a male staff gave us a polite farewell. My friend was impressed with not only the food but also the restaurant's decor. Once again, TDLLO Ramen & Sushi has my recommendation. read more

We were stuffed when we left this place! The portion sizes are huge!!! While it wasn't the best ramen I've ever had, it was definitely delicious and flavorful! Haven't been back since my last visit over a year ago. This time I tried the yakisoba noodles and a roll. Roll was really good, it was the amazing tuna roll. Nice balance of heat and sweet. I liked the yakisoba meat and veggies but the noodles tasted too fishy for my liking. It's like they had too much fish sauce or something. I took them home to my son and he liked them a lot. We have come here several times, was surprised I didn't have an active review. My youngest was introduced to ramen a while back, and this has become 'our' place to go when her siblings aren't around so like after a soccer game, or late practice when it's just me and her, or her mom. The rest of our family turns their noses up at most of the options so why bring em. Up front, the best thing to me is their to go bowl for the ramen. It separates the larger toppings/noodles from the broth, making it super easy to transport/re heat, was very surprised first time I saw this and it's really nice when you don't finish everything. I have had several of the ramen options and have not been disappointed, the miso spicy broth is the right mix of flavors, just not a fan of the ground sausage in it. Texture thing for me. You can make your own of course, but just suggesting you do that if you don't want bits in your broth. I've not had the ramen that I do not enjoy, the broth is great, noodles are well cooked, staff is fast and appetizer options are all really tasty. I've had sushi maybe once or twice, and nothing to say bad about that as well, all nicely sized for the cost and made quickly, no complaints, I just have been enjoying the ramen more so tend to get that more often. Great little corner spot recently added to Wake Forest, helps that it's close too compared to previous options before they arrive, even better they're good or better than past places we'd travel 20-30 m to find. They have the windows well tinted so when it's evening in the summer you're not getting blasted by the NC sun either. read more

We consider ourselves selective and high maintenance with sushi and we have find our go-to spot in the area! We are obsessed with several rolls and have to practice serious self restraint to not go here at least once a week. Our favorites: Crazy Salmon, Crunchy Salmon, and Phoenix Tear One of the bartender/servers remembers us when we come in and is always friendly, knowledgeable, and affable! read more

Had the spicy miso and shoyu ramen. Spicy miso was ok, but not my favorite. The shoyu would have been perfect if they used less salt. I was gulping water like a fish after each bite. Anime lovers, check this place out! I ordered the One Piece roll with Miso soup and thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. The quality of the fish was good, very fresh and soft. I will be back to try the Naruto roll and a few others caught my eye. I enjoyed the attention to detail: sweet little ceramics for soy sauce dipping, the wasabi and ginger was presented wonderfully with my roll, and I enjoyed using the soy sauce out of stoneware. Came here for Mother's Day dinner and it was a very mixed experience. The restaurant was packed at 5:30, we did get a table for two gratefully. The hostess was very professional and very sweet. Our server, Ava, was very friendly and attentive. The food was the letdown. The crab rangoons were very good, however my entree, the hibachi steak and chicken was awful. I had asked for my steak to be medium well, I received steak chunks that when I cut into them were nearly raw! Not cooked properly and definitely more rare. I ended up only eating the chicken. The yum yum sauce had an odd taste as well. Very disappointing as this was the main entree. I ordered a blue Russian and it was awful. I didn't finish it. A $10 drink and a $22 entree that were both pretty bad. Parking here is also difficult. The parking lot was packed. Not a single free spot. We had to park across the street in the dirt area on the hill behind the McDonald's. Overall, the best part was spending time with my daughter. After two mixed experiences here, I don't think we will return. read more

Cute restaurant that was nicely decorated for Christmas. Server was friendly, very young, but did a good job. I did not love the sushi. I ordered 4 gluten free rolls plus the nigiri. It was all just okay. The rice with the nigiri didn't stay together well, which made it hard to eat. The majority of the regular sushi menu has imitation crab meat in their rolls which I do not eat. I don't mean this in an ugly way, but the sushi menu seems to cater to people who don't love authentic sushi and prefer all the fried, imitation options. I used to be that person when I first started eating sushi, so I can appreciate it too. A few people near me had gotten the ramen and hibachi options which looked great. read more

If you like hot tea with your food, they have a really good hot ginger tea whichncomes out in a kettle that gives you about 4-5 cups. The atmosphere is lively and vibrant with changing neon lights. The lighting, if you sit along the wall, makes reading the menu a bit difficult. Pick up, off the table, that full color with amazing pictures menu, and you'll be fine. They also have a good drink list with wine, beer, sake, and normal drinks. All were 100% leg shakers; VERY good and very light feeling after eating. Prices are rather normal, in our opinion. Specialty rolls ranging from $12-$16, Nigeria $6-$7, Ginger tea $4 (well worth it), house wine $6. If you ask for extra ginger, there is a $1 charge. TDillo sets in a plaza with plenty of parking. They offer table, booth, or bar top seating Our biggest and only gripe about here is the young staff. No greeting at the door with 3 staff members standing there. 2 were chatting, and 1 on her phone. Seems to be the theme here as our hostess was seen down a hall always on her phone or with the other staff just standing around giggling like school girls. There is a huge lack of etiquette and social skill. We asked the server to repeat herself over and over as she spoke too low for us to hear. This is a solid ramen/sushi shop. They offer several Asian fusion appetizers, we enjoyed the pork bao. The sushi is fresh and tasty. Ramen is good, but the beef in mine was chewy to the point of being inedible (the chef shouldn't have used the pieces I was given). They have a full bar, and service is attentive. Ambience is ok, but the restaurant can be noisy, don't go here seeking a quiet romantic dinner. Have been multiple times and will continue. read more

Recommended entrees: chicken katsu ramen ($17), eel show ($14), chicken katsu bowl ($17), and yakisoba with tofu ($16) Updating my review to discuss dining in. Even dining after the lunch rush, the dining area quickly filled with customers. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. She was also the only waitress covering the entire dining room. Somehow she still remained calm and smiling. I wish I caught her name, she worked midday on 9/1. Even with covering all the tables she regularly checked in on us, refilled water, removed empty plates, and packed my leftovers to go. We each enjoyed our meal, especially the tempura appetizer, chicken katsu, ramen, and eel show. The tempura shrimp and vegetables were crisp and delicious, just a little too greasy. The chicken katsu is cooked perfectly. The ramen is very rich (fatty) and flavorful. Even the miso broth had a rich pork base. This place is hit or miss for me. I've been here multiple times for various dishes and have been both satisfied and disappointed. Last night I was craving Hibachi and theirs looked better than others in the local area based on photos but I was disappointed because the brown sauce that came with it was overly sweet and overpowered the flavors of the steak and vegetables. I don't think I could order this meal again from this place. On the other hand, various orders of Ramen has been mostly delightful and well made. Straying from my usual pattern of review, I want to start with the service. My sister and I visited for lunch, and as sisters do, we dive right into talking, catching up, not at all looking at the menu and have no clue what we want. Our server was not at all upset with us. She asked if it was our first visit (which it was) and gave a short overview of what they offer. I ask how spicy is the Spicy Miso ramen and get a helpful answer. Ultimately I order the Chicken Katsu Ramen and my sister gets the Spicy Miso Ramen. When it arrives, our servers explains she had the hot chili sauce put to the side so we could decide how spicy we want it. Well that was nice! She was just awesome overall. While both ramen dishes were comforting and decent, neither were my favorite ramen I've ever had. I appreciate it wasn't overly salted, but it was a bit bland. I would like to come back and try the sushi as I see good reviews on that. Bravo on the decor! I'm so tired of seeing new spots with zero ambiance. Very pretty light fixtures, and cool fish lantern type hanging over the middle of the space. The bar is inviting and nice mix of booths and tables. This is a very popular new strip mall. First time to this new Wake Forest spot, still in their soft-opening phase. A great experience. The shop is located in the corner of a strip center off Forestville Road. It's a square room with 14 tables. The sushi bar is at the back left, with about a dozen seats. There's also a bar to the left (liquor license pending at this visit). There was a short wait for a table. Host station was hopping, with phone orders, phone calls and juggling incoming guests. Considering that the place has only been open for a short time, the team handled all this with ease. Well done! Service is quick and attentive. Orders taken and served accurately. Time from order to service around 10 minutes. Avocado roll, served 6 to the order, is rolled fresh. Veggies are crisp, the roll tight and bite-sized. Perfect. Tofu hibachi is delicious. 2" square tofu is wok-fired crispy with mixed veggies and sauced with a sweet-ish teriyaki sauce. The white rice that accompanies is sticky but not mushy, and great to mix with that sauce. Tried a special order for our carb-counter... chicken hibachi with no rice and extra veggies. The dish was served exactly as ordered. Nice chunks of chicken mixed with those veggies, same teriyaki sauce. The right ratio of sauce, to enhance the flavors, not drown them. Another good choice. Also tried the meat lovers ramen. Hearty pork broth is adorned with a few nuggets of tempura chicken, ground pork and pork chasu atop a knot of ramen noodles. The bowl is topped with bean sprouts, scallions and a halved soft-boiled egg. This is a great mix of flavors. The broth is vaguely creamy, the noodles al dente, the pork succulent and moist. Boiled egg with a soft yolk is the perfect garnish to balance it. If you're a ramen person, this is the one to try. A few nits. The right wall features a giant neon feature, vaguely resembling a lightning bolt. The colors fade from blue to yellow to green. Sitting in a booth along that wall, the neon is very bright and the changing colors distracting. I wonder if the lights could be dimmed? The wheeled cart used to bus the tables is parked 2 feet from the dining area. It's not appetizing to dine with the aroma of the bucket of water+disinfectant and dirty dish tubs. Perhaps the cart could be moved to another, less out-in-the-open spot? The nits are minor. The service is great. The food is delicious. Definitely a great new addition to the burgeoning Wake Forest restaurant scene. Will be back! read more

I know good sushi because I used to live next to a Nissan dealership and I've watched Akira a couple of times--with English subtitles. And let me tell you... Just kidding. I have no idea what good sushi should taste like. I do know what bad sushi tastes like, though. I didn't even come for the sushi. We had drinks, I had ramen, my spouse had hibachi, and we shared a roll. I thought my drink didn't have any alcohol in it, but by halfway through, it was clear that it did--and a lot of it. For a novelty cocktail, it was amazing. By the end of the drink, I was full-on giddy. I have no idea what "good ramen" is supposed to taste like, but I really enjoyed my ramen dish. My spouse had the gluten-free hibachi, and I tried it. It was hibachi. As for the sushi... I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of sushi. I think if someone curated something for me, I'd probably enjoy it more, but I'm just never blown away by anything I've tried around here. I can say it was better than grocery store sushi and better than some other restaurants I've tried in the area, but nothing transformative. The only caveat is that when they say, "we can make it gluten-free," that means they take off the gluten-filled ingredients, leaving you with something that has less flavor and texture--at the same price. It's a bit of a bummer compared to the expectation. It was slammed when we went, so the service wasn't great, but considering how busy they were, I thought they did a relatively good job. Very disappointing-- I ordered the Hibachi with shrimp lunch special. The sauce was too sweet- like it was a bottled sauce and not made in house. The 5 shrimp were small and overcooked. The vegetables were scant- I could have fit the entire serving in my small palm. It was served in a small plate with way more rice than hibachi. I know lunch specials are much smaller than a full serving, but I had the same thing at Asuka two days ago and the shrimp were large and tasty, there were easily three times the serving of vegetables, and the sauce was light and delicious. Price was about the same...so skip this place and head somewhere else. BTW, I have had sushi here and it was good. So just don't order hibachi here. read more

Ordered pickup through Grubhb, my order had been taken by a Door Dash driver and was being delivered to another customer. Rather than offer to remake my order, I was expected to wait 15-20 minutes for the driver to return. That's not acceptable customer service. read more

Came in for ramen on a cold winter night. The wife and I both had the Tonkatsu Ramen and we split an Alaskan Roll. Long story short, the broth (the heart and soul of Tonkatsu) was bland and nearly featureless. It took a healthy dose of soy sauce and chili oil just to give it any dimension of flavor. Toppings were plentiful, but again, all lacking flavor. The highlight of the bowl was the chashu, which was actually delicious, tender, and perfectly prepared. The roll was similarly bland, rice was cold and a bit tough and chewy, the fish was fresh, but again lacking flavor. The service was friendly, but remarkably slow and disconnected despite there being an abundance of servers and very few tables occupied. All-in-all a fairly meh experience. There's definitely better sushi in Wake Forest, but sadly, no other options for ramen. So it's likely we'll give TDLLO another shot. But it's nothing to get excited about. read more

I've been here a few times over the last couple of months. I never had a to wait for a table, but I could see possibly having to wait when the restaurant is full. I got here primarily for the sushi. The food looks beautiful and it taste great too. I have not been disappointed yet with any of their sushi rolls. I like to try different ones each time I go here. All the people I have gone with have also enjoyed the sushi. I have tried the ramen. It was good, but I probably will stick to sushi in the future. The service is great. All the hosts and servers have been friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable with the menu. I had Jess, and she was amazing. The place is very clean looking as well. It was very cold the last time I went, so I would recommend bringing a light jacket. It was difficult to enjoy because of the cold air blowing directly down. read more

Two times I've ordered takeout since they opened. Both times were mediocre at best. Most recently, I ordered a yellowtail and scallion roll and a Rock n Roll. It read in the description "Tuna, white fish, salmon, avocado, cucumber, topped with scallion, Tobiko, eel sauce and spicy mayo." What I got: a FRIED sushi roll. No salmon. No cucumber. No eel sauce. It was good tasting but absolutely not what I wanted to eat or what I ordered. I really don't prefer the fried rolls and never order one that is fried. They either made me the wrong roll or didn't know what was in the roll I ordered and just put it in my bag. Also - they don't have a real website! When I click website in Google it takes me to the Toast Takeout page. I cannot even give them effective feedback on this experience. Very annoying. read more

Great ambiance, food, service at this week old restaurant. Let me preface this by saying I'm not a fan of sushi, but I do love Asian flavors. I started with the crab Rangoon which was crunchy and fresh. Next I got the tofu and veggie hibachi with fried rice and it was so good. Hubby is a fan of sushi and said was best he's had in area. Our server was always there when needed. We came at lunchtime on a rainy Sunday and were seated right away but they quickly packed out. Very popular with the Asian community. Came here on the second day they opened and the food took so long to come out. By the time the ramen came out, it was only lukewarm and bland. We decided to give it another try. This time, there were more staff and food came out faster. The ramen was nice and hot and flavorful. The fish at the sushi bar was very fresh. The volcano had great reviews so I decided to give it a try. It was very heavy. Not my favorite. The place was very busy but we sat at the sushi bar so it was nice. They still don't have beer/wine/liquor. Overall we will visit again but definitely not on the weekend. The parking is terrible. read more

Went here for a birthday dinner and it absolutely did not disappoint! This was the first time I've have ramen cooked properly at a restaurant and damn was it good! I now feel like I need this on a weekly basis! For an appetizer we got the Bao and the Takoyaki and they were both so good. The pork in the Bao was cooked perfectly and the Takoyaki was brand new for us and it was damn good. For the ramen I got the Shoyu, the broth was super flavorful and the pork was cooked to perfection. Our sushi rolls were the Crunchy Roll, Godzilla Roll and a deep fried roll, they were all very flavorful! The service we got was fantastic, the waitress was very friendly and we had a great experience. I will definitely be coming back here.
