So yummy and great prices! Ordered ahead online and was ready in 10 mins this is always our go to sushi

Crunchy roll

We ordered several items via delivery. Very good food. I wish they would've labeled the rolls as I didn't really remember or know what was what but everything was really good. I enjoyed the shrimp rice and the crunchy roll. The cheese crab wonton's were good (they've always been a favorite) but the wonton was a different texture then usual. The family and I would definitely be return, but next time we would try eating in so we could pair it with a beverage and maybe even dessert (if they have it). Did I mention I absolutely loved the rice.

Dinner special for two! A classic

Great portions, quality and prices! We have been getting the dinner special for two now for 4 years and it hasn't changed!

We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine: Parking: 4 Location: 4 Decor/ambiance: 1 Customer Service: 2 Man this place is Cheappppp! You get a good grip of food for nothing! And surprisingly the food isn't all that bad. Its actually good! This is a serious college hangout spot though. We come through often times on week nights and its always loaded with students eating during the school year. Again, great food, cheap prices. The ambiance is kinda low end so don't think you are going to a 5 star spot. Again, good food, amazing prices.

Hibachi Chicken - lunch special. Less that $6!

This is a great place to get Hibachi in the NCSU area! Their food is very good! Now this obviously won't be the hands down best hibachi or sushi of your life, but it gives some of the bigger and nicer restaurants a run for their money. The convenience alone is worth it if you're in the area. Add the convenience to the portion sizes and prices...it's totally worth it. I went here quite a few times while I was in college and still love to go here from time to time because I work not even 5 minutes away. Their prices are great, but their lunch specials are amazing. For less than $6 usually you get so much food. I usually get the hibachi chicken lunch special and I am able to eat off that for at the least 2 meals, sometimes 3...there's just so much food. There is a good amount of parking because it is in a shopping center on Avent Ferry. The location is good because it is close to NCSU, but not in the thick of the NCSU traffic.

Shrimp tempura roll and Boston Roll
Dory F.

I really don't know why this place doesn't have better ratings. The food here is super good! The sushi is delicious and super affordable I got a shrimp tempura roll and a Boston roll. I also ordered a hibachi steak and shrimp plate and that was also very good. The rice is cooked to perfection. We came in here because it was one of they very few places that was open after the snowfall and it was a great choice. The staff is also very nice. Please stop in and try their sushi rolls they have discounts between certain hours as well, you will not regret it!

First time eater and probably won't go back. I ordered shrimp and steak hibachi. Rice was VERY dry, I could barely taste the meat, white sauce was eh, and there were more vegetables than steak and shrimp. When I asked for some white sauce, the lady just pointed over to the counter and walked away. Customer service wasn't the best. They do give you a lot of food (mainly rice) but I'd much rather go to the mall and eat overpriced Japanese food than eat here. Please save your money and go elsewhere!

We ended up parking by the regions bank building and walking across the street. To locate the front entrance of Sushi Mon you'll proceed into the office building and the entrance will be off to your right. Walking in the restaurant feels modern, upscale, sleek, intimate, and trendy. Since we arrived for lunch during the week they were running a few lunch specials. I ordered the sushi combo (6 pieces of nigiri and a Sushi Mon hand roll) with a miso soup. The miso soup was a pleasant surprise and was delicious quite filling as it contained cabbage, salmon, and mushrooms. The 6 pieces Nigiri was also well balanced and had a good selection of sushi (amberjack, salmon belly, cooked shrimp, etc.). The Sushi Mon hand roll was good but had a bit of heat to it. Overall, visiting Sushi Mon for lunch was a good experience and I'd likely return if I'm in the area

Wow! Another amazing anniversary at O-Ku!…read more My husband and I have a personal tradition of having dinner at O-Ku every year for our anniversary. It's especially meaningful to us because it's where we had our first date many years ago. This year, we were greeted with the warmest smiles by the hostess, and shortly after, Ariel welcomed us with such genuine warmth. She even remembered us from our previous visits, which made the evening feel even more special. Our server, Itcel, was absolutely amazing. Thanks to her thoughtful and detailed descriptions of the menu, I felt inspired to try a new dish--and I absolutely loved it! A huge thank you to the entire O-Ku team for making our anniversary so special year after year. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

The atmosphere was great, although it was a little loud and the tables felt a bit crowded. The food was really good, and the service was amazing! We started with the dumplings and shrimp appetizers, then he got a hand roll while we both ordered specialty rolls. He loved the Tsunami roll and said it was perfect! I got the Mad Salmon roll, which was really good but definitely had some heat to it. They also surprised us with a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was such a nice touch! It was some kind of chocolate mousse cake, and it was to die for. We also ordered the spice cake dessert to go, but that was probably the only disappointment of the night. I wouldn't recommend that one. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back! Edit: forgot to mention, our table was a few feet away from the restrooms which wasn't ideal, especially since we had a reservation.

The hand rolls were a 10/10, the crispy tuna rice was something I was OBSESSED with, and the chicken karaage was so good too. If you're looking for a fun spot for sushi in Raleigh, I'd definitely recommend adding Daijobu to your list! Already looking forward to going back and trying more of the menu.

We opted to sit at the bar and it was cozy. The staff was excellent; knowledge and professionalism were on point. We ordered some hand rolls and the baked scallop roll. Just a bit fishy tasting. The baked scallop had a fun taste with added potato chip strings, I highly recommend trying it.. The tonkatsu was out of this world. The egg was perfectly cooked, the pork was torched and so delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked and had create bite and flavor. This was definitely the star of the night. When I go back I'll get more Toro hand rolls and try another cooked dish for sure. Definitely recommend stopping by here!
