all I have to say is, for a woman, and I speak only for myself, the 2 hardest things to find when…read moreyou move to a new area is a hairstylist and a mechanic. I like gault's because, the few times I had car problems, I brought it to a dealer, an auto shop, and gault's. the dealer is the priciest. the other auto shop was pricey and always seemed like they found more problems with my car than the dealer or gault's. first time, I went to the dealer. mostly, because that's where I bought my car and assumed they would know my car best. not so. when I take my car back from the shop, it feels like they did nothing to it. I bring it back to the dealer to complain and have them fix it. I bring it back home and it was the same. either the mechanics at the dealer do not know what they're doing or they're just lazy. then I tried the other auto mechanic. I ended up not getting my car fixed there, but did ask for an analysis and estimate of cost. again, they were higher than the dealer, so I decided to try out gault's auto shop. the owners of gault's were friendly. I asked them to check my car and give me analysis and estimates. wanted to see what they have to say first, to see if their analysis was similar to what the dealer and the other auto shop said. what they told me seemed so much simpler than what the dealer and other shop said and had better pricing. most important was that my car was fixed. they seemed honest and never tried to add more than what the problem was. they give me advice on how to keep my car in good shape. sometimes I tell them what the dealer and other shop suggest for my car or what their assessments were and gault's would just chuckle and let me know that it's BS. so as far as I know, and I don't know too much about cars, I always leave with a car that's fixed. I never leave feeling ripped off.

First, this is the second time I've brought my vehicle to them and it has popped up on carfax that they serviced the vehicle with an oil change when they didn't. I had spark plugs changed and it included an oil change that never occurred. This messes up the carfax with bad information and it's not easy to fix. When I mentioned it the first time they asked me to email them about it and acted like they had no idea how it could have happened, but the issue hasn't been fixed and continues to happen. Secondly, I paid these guys nearly $800 to diagnose and fix a cylinder misfire, but less than a week after leaving the shop and the issue is still there. Which tells me that they didn't truly diagnose what was causing it, but instead threw parts at it hoping that it would fix the issue. After I called to let them know that the check engine light came back on and was throwing the same code the answer I received was "it's probably a good idea to sell your vehicle". Are you kidding me? Them taking some responsibility for not fixing my vehicle after I gave them nearly a grand to do so seems like a more appropriate response.

Fortunately for us when we pulled off of I-35 This Car Shop was right there. They were so kind as to put our car up on the lift immediately and two mechanics looked up under our car. You could see where something had impacted our undercarriage in several spots and luckily for us, the impacts were not on any soft or moving parts, but only on hard metal. I was so thrilled and was happy to pay a bill. They would not take any money from me. Now who does that! I am most grateful for the peace of mind that we could continue on our travels without concern. If I lived in the area, I would be happy to take our cars there for service.

Mr. Chairez was very professional and he had great communication with us to confirm the appointment and when he was on the way. He was on time polite and he was very professional. He preformed 2 different scans on each of the cars. He used a chemical that would change color if we had head gasket or valve issues. He used a stethoscope to listen to the engine and used a camera to show me the timing chain. He explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. The mechanic who ghosted us said it was the transmission on my mirage. But Mr Chairez said it was engine related. He replaced the belt the spark plugs a sensor and did a complete oil change and tune up. The car runs great. My SUV the other mechanic said had nothing wrong with it and the ticking sound I was concerned about was the a/c compressor kicking in. Mr. Chairez said it was the timing chain and is set to do the repair this week. He also while doing my oil change on the SUV found a leak that was caused by Take 5 when they did my last oil change. Which we had noticed that it was leaking oil after we got it changed and it had never done that before. But we thought it was probably just the oil filter was loose. Mr Chairez is very professional and honest. I was very impressed with how knowledgeable he was and all the time and test he put into our cars. He will definitely be the only mechanic we use for repairs and matinance on our cars

The vehicle was towed and a deposit of 3750 was paid via Zelle, (listed as payment #2 under the attachments). I was promised 3-5 weeks on the engine swap. In Aug of 2022 Duante contacted me and stated the engine repair was complete and he wanted the additional 750.00 for services rendered. He also stated the vehicle needed a wiring harness and programming that would be an additional 1200.00. He demanded payment or no more work would be completed on the vehicle. I sent the 750 and the 1200 respectively via Zelle (listed as payments 2 and 3 under the attachments). In early March 2023 I received a call from Brian Bruce the service manager at Bruce Lowrie Chevrolet ((817) 568-4810, stating that my Saturn had been dropped off at his location for inspection by Duante Franklin and basically abandoned. Bruce was reaching out to me for 1100 in storage fees because my vehicle had been their over 30 days. I asked what the issue with the vehicle is and they stated I need a NEW ENGINE. Duante has had possession of my Saturn since July 2022 and right now as of April 2023 my vehicle sits abandon at a dealership collecting storage fees I can't afford. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR CAR.

I came to Arlington Mobile Repair after I had an incident and slid on ice back in February during…read morethat winter storm. I did everything by the book with my insurance company. I filed a claim, I got my insurance company to send an adjuster to write an estimate, etc. I initially was going to go with a dealership, but a close friend of mine referred me to a mechanic that he was good friends with, which ultimately was Duante Franklin. Being as I trust my friend's word, I decided to take my Jeep vehicle to Duante Franklin, owner of Arlington Mobile Repair. I should have done my own research before I took my vehicle to him because I have recently come to find out that he has been sued muitliple times in Small Claims court, and has some really negative reviews that involve him being a scammer, stealing, and not continuing work unless he got his full amount upfront. Any time I have had work done on my vehicle I have always been allowed to make the remaining payments at pickup. My vehicle started off at a repair shop in Crowley, TX, but because of reasons unknown he was no longer operating from the initial place of business I dropped my vehicle at. He called me and told me that he was taking my vehicle to his residential home to be worked on. This should have been red flag number one. Long story short, my insurance wrote me two checks for the work to be completed. The first check of $2100 was given to him in full via Zelle. The second check was given to him partially. Another $100 was sent via Cash App. In total he received roughly $2600 for my car to begin getting worked on. Fast forward 3/4 months later my vehicle still has not been completed. He decided to tell me that he won't complete anymore work until the remaining balance of $800 was paid. That remaining balance was towards his labor. If he did not complete the labor, why should I be held liable for payment of work upfront, if it has not been completed. He danced around giving me a completion date multiple times. The most recent time he told me the vehicle would be ready last weekend, and by this Wednesday it still hadn't been completed. My mother even offered to pay the remaining $800 with a credit card. He refused that form of payment and stated he wanted cash. Which was another red flag for me. Because of my mother not wanting to go that route, we ended up in a disagreement that ultimately led to her not paying for the remaining balance altogether. I have gone through MANY non responses through text message from Duante Franklin. He even compared me to his wife because of the long and thorough text messages I send. I find that to be very unprofessional. He has belittled me by calling me evil. Accused me of insurance fraud, and has accused me of other things. What I believe happened is he took the money I gave from the insurance company for the parts and partial labor, and decided to cut himself his labor check FIRST without purchasing ALL the necessary parts to fix my vehicle. He told me the remaining $800 was for parts that was needed for my vehicle. Which did not make sense to me as he has been given $2600 upfront to cover parts and partial labor. I have a full map of how much the parts costed and how much the labor costed. The parts were paid for in full, and his labor was partially paid. While accusing me of slanderish behavior, he used religious rhetoric to make his claims and his behavior seem logical. Calling himself "the Chosen One". He is a liar and a thief, and does not represent the Creator I serve. I decided to do some research on him, and I found his personal FB account where he posted about selling illegal drugs. After looking up the pills he had in hand, it turned out to be ecstasy pills. His Zelle account has also been suspended for use. There are only a few reasons why that happens. Either the person had too many failed log in attempts, violation of zelle policies, security compromise, or what I think is potentially the case here, involvement in scam and fradulent activity. He also destroyed my friend's Cargo Van that costed him more money to fix somewhere else and two logistics contracts he had. Because of his negligence I ended up losing my vehicle due to repossession. My Jeep was being used as my primary source of income, which caused a delay in payments, due to having to pay for thousands of dollars in rentals, and having to purchase another vehicle outright. Not only have all of these things happened. His customer service is terrible. I called him one day asking the cost of the parts and he could not give me a straight forward answer on that. He tap dances around direct questions. He tried to guilt trip me by saying "he's performing more work then the insurance required". I would stay clear of him and his business Arlington Mobile Repair. You will lose more than just money dealing with him. I truly believe that he is sexist and has major issues dealing with female customers.
