I took my car in for what should have been a routine oil change, and that was the beginning of a series of problems. After the service, I started experiencing issues with my vehicle that I had never experienced before. It was extremely frustrating and disappointing to see a business I had trusted for more than two decades provide such a poor level of service. I contacted the new owner to explain the problems I was having. He told me he was busy helping other customers and said he would call me back. Unfortunately, he never did. That lack of follow-up and professionalism was especially disappointing after being a loyal customer for so many years. I am extremely frustrated with this experience and, sadly, I will not be returning to Metro Champion. It is unfortunate to see the level of service and professionalism decline so significantly after more than 20 years of trusting this shop with my vehicles.

On one, He made my windshield dirtier than it was originally leaving it with smudges so bad I had to pullover to clean it before even leaving the neighborhood. On the other he couldn't even bother to vacuum under or between the seats. It was a hot day so I brought the guys out water, ice, and put it in my cooler for them. They put it in their truck. I immediately called them to let them know and promised hed drop it off next day and stopped answering my calls or texts. Last night he called me drunk 5 times from 2-4am and left me a voicemail cursing me out and saying he was coming by my home at that time. Stay away from this guy. Here's what I think of TDP, Jan. 30, 2024 was the invoice date for finally having my 05' CTS-V…read moreTremac T-56 manual transmission supposedly rebuilt by TDP for the first time since I bought the car off the lot in 05', my car has 225,985 miles on the original transmission and engine. Out of warranty (they have a one year warranty) and less than 8,000 miles on the tranny, with normal driving (I don't even do burnouts, let alone racing) my transmission had to be completely rebuilt, again! The shop who did the new rebuild is one of the most reputable transmission shops in Orange County CA, very well known and specializing in Corvette transmissions (wish I went to them in the first place). They walked me through all the parts that had to be replaced and showed me what was done before based on TDP's invoice, they didn't bad mouth or disparage TDP in any way shape or form, they let me come to my own conclusion by presenting the parts and procedure they had to go through to make my transmission correct. TDP invoiced me $3,494.45 for the rebuild (+ $400.00 for shipping it back and forth to CA.), my new rebuild invoice is $4,591.06. Now, I know exactly what is inside my new transmission. I now have a transmission that has been rebuilt twice, in less than 2 years and cost me $8,085.51 + $400.00 in shipping. $8485.51 in total, This was a very expensive lesson to learn and my point is to ALWAY'S be sure you're getting what you pay for. Based on my experience I would never recommend Texas Drivetrain Performance! If I could give you a zero star, I would!
