I came across TDE through my friend, when she was planning her wedding previously. TDE is seriously a one stop shop when it comes to wedding planning. My husband and I live in Colorado and had our wedding in California. You can already imagine the stress that went through my head. Planning a wedding from a different state was not easy but the ladies (Jessica, Denise, and Carina) definitely made it a smooth process for me. We went with the platinum package, although we didn't need everything from that package, they were flexible and let us substitute some stuff out. The process was super organized and they have a lot of options when it came to picking out decorations. The ladies responded back to me pretty fast whenever I had questions or concerns. Big thank you for the TDE team for working so efficiently on making my wedding so beautiful. TDE definitely made my fairy tale wedding dream come true. read more

We had a great time with TDE wedding. It's the best decision ever that we have chosen TDE to help our wedding. We used the flower, DJ, MC and lighting service. The price is great given the service we received. They even help us to reduce the cost by offering a lower price plan but give the same effect. They are responsive on every request we have. Everything is perfect on the wedding day. We don't need to worry about anything. We had a really great time. Definitely recommended!!! read more

My husband and I hired TDE for our Chinese wedding reception. Jessica was quick to answer any emails and provided helpful guidance throughout the process. Otis did a great job as our bilingual emcee. He made sure things ran smoothly and on time. He even had some entertaining games for our bridal party to play. The DJ was also great and played the songs that we had requested beforehand but was also able to take requests from the guests. I would definitely recommend going with TDE as they truly are a one-stop bridal shop that is willing to accommodate your needs. read more

This review is long overdue, I sincerely apologize for having had so many priorities but I never forget! Even though this was 3 years ago, I remembered it like it was yesterday. We had searched on yelp for the longest of times to find a bilingual Cantonese Emcee (MC) for our wedding which was super difficult until we found TDE. From the outside, you could easily miss it because it is (depending on which way you enter Millbrae) at the very front or end of the Broadway strip which somewhat blends in with the commercial/residential complexes. Once you step in, you will feel like a million bucks for Otis and his assistant will meet, greet and answer everything you have while giving you the option to choose whatever and whichever necessities you desire without breaking the bank AND they reply to emails same day plus work around your schedule for appointments. Now the sole purpose of this review is for our MC, Jackson who was hands down, the BEST of the BEST; he is bilingual, smart, witty, charismatic, charming, has a wonderful sense of humor, entertaining while moving the crowd (100+) getting them hyped up, he worked the stage, quick in improvising should there be any technical difficulties, very professional and handsome looking tall man. Many weeks before the wedding, there was a general template used to ensure the timing and transition of everything such as announcing the bride & groom's family, the bridal party, how it all started, toasting, commencing, games, etc. Jackson flawlessly announced everyone's names (especially those very difficult ones in Cantonese), he carefully executed the transitions within the time frames that we wanted, he got our bridal party out of their comfort zones when playing bridal games (bridesmaids vs groomsmen) in a treasure hunt where the losing team will have to dance center stage, he got the crowd interacting with no dull moments; he pretty much felt like family to us at the end of the wedding because everyone left with a smile and nothing but amazing comments. And in all honesty you have to provide your MC with a very grand, elegant and enticing venue/stage so that he can work his charm; we will never forget the gift you have given us that night on our wedding day @ Rosewood Sand Hill! Way to go Jackson, you desire way more credit, recognition and acknowledgment than just me because you are just that astounding! Warmest Regards, Gordon W. read more

Thank you very much for Otis and Carina being follow up thoroughly for the whole process and we had a very wonderful wedding last week. We hired the make up artist, DJ and photographer on our day. TDE Staffs are so professional and they all arrived on time to get everything ready to go before we are ready..^_^. We highly recommended the DJ service as they can follow the timeline closely to make it no dead air in the party at all. Our wedding won't be that fantastic without TDE help. Again, we truly appreciate for TDE helps and we definitely will refer TDE to others for wedding planning in the future. GO, GO, GO, TDE!!!!!! read more

Carina and Otis helped us plan the wedding of our dreams! We used TDE for essentially everything (DJ/Emcee, Photography/Videography, Decorations, Floral, Hair/makeup), which made it very convenient. They listen to exactly what you want and work hard to create it. Our family and friends loved the balance of an American, yet traditional Chinese wedding. The photographers Eric and Johnny and makeup artists Alice and Trina were amazing! We highly recommend going with TDE to help coordinate any of your special events! read more

TDE is a one stop service, i wish i have had used TDE right when i start planning my wedding, i would have given myself less headache, but it didnt matter because what i had left to do TDE did an awesome job. All the brides out there, know planning a wedding is not an easy task. When i walked in their studio, there was already class and upscale desgins. They delivered the most sincere service and do make an great effort into making your wedding an ideal one. Otis is very efficient and responsible. We used him as our MC on our big day, his energy and his "awesome" voice tone will filled up the space with life and laughters. We loved him and more importantly our guestes loved him. Thank you TDE and team, you made our wedding unforgetable !!! read more

The Day Entertainment (TDE) was everything that we hoped for and then some. I was a bit hesitant in going for an "all you can eat type" of wedding service but it just made sense. Especially since we were a bit behind in getting ready for our wedding. They did the heavy lifting in terms of beautiful decorations, the DJ who personalized our music and entrance songs, the beautiful custom lighting, the photography, the video, and the awesome photo booth and etc. It just made the wedding that much more easier knowing we had a partner like TDE on our side. They made everything painless and couldn't tell you how many compliments we got with the beautiful flowers and decorations that they meticulously arranged. Moreover, they took care of all of the vendors so that we didn't have to. We dealt pretty much with just them which made it that much more easier. Not to mention Otis did a wonderful job in hosting the event and entertaining the crowd. My guests commented on how masterful of a job he did in keeping them engaged and and having fun the whole time. He did a variety of different games and made sure we were on schedule each step of the way. There were no lulls in the wedding because of that and the guests had a great time throughout the day/evening. It was amazing. TDE did a great job from the day we met all the way to the end of a beautiful night on our special day. Moreover, prices were reasonable. No wonder why they get 5 stars from me and from many other happy clients. If you are still on the fence, get off the fence and give them a shot. I can pretty much say, you will be glad you made the choice in going with TDE. Good luck! read more

TDE WAS INCREDIBLE! I'm from out of town, several hours away and we needed an MC who could speak Chinese, we finally found someone willing to go out there and we couldn't have been happier. We worked with Jessica online, she helped us keep on track with all the paperwork, she was so nice and patient with us, and made everything easier to deal with from out of town. She was quick to respond to any of our emailed questions. Our MC, Otis, was also incredibly helpful, especially on the big day. First of all, before the actual wedding, we came up to Millbrae to discus what we wanted for the wedding (we were very unsure), Otis basically held our hand and took the time to explain everything, by the end of our meeting, we felt so much better and less nervous about the whole thing. On the big day, Otis and his colleagues drove several hours and was incredibly on time. He had things set up and ready to go, speakers, lighting and DJ table. I was very impressed and I didn't have to worry. On our particular wedding day, we had the ceremony outside, it was exceptionally hot with the sun blazing at noon(summertime in the Central Valley with the sun directly over your head hoooot), Otis had to wait out in the sun at the ceremony arch for a quite some time while we gathered our wedding party (we're slow). Not once did he complain, even when I asked him jokingly and I said I felt bad he had to wait, and he was like ...no big deal, I'm fine. Otis was just incredibly nice and patient and I could not have been more grateful he was there with us. The reception went incredibly smoothly thanks to Otis' organizational skills. We had to do some last minute changes to the schedule because we wanted to take some sunset photos, he arranged for us to do that like we were planning it from the beginning. We had a few other hiccups during the night, and Otis just handled everything professionally and quickly so no one noticed. The whole night went as smoothly as it could have for a huge wedding. We kept getting complements from everyone, so I would say it was a success! The lighting, which they customized the color for us was amazing, I was afraid it was going to look tacky, but it was elegant and beautiful. The DJ picked great songs and it was a fun night. Overall, TDE's professionalism, compassion, organizational skill, flexibility, quick wit helped our whole wedding day go smoothly. I do not think I would have been able to do this without them and probably had a mental breakdown in the restroom in the middle of the wedding if it weren't for all their help. They work hard and the results show. I highly recommend them for any wedding. I just wished they had a place stationed in the Central Valley, because they also do hair, makeup, and photography and I think decorations too, I had to book all mine separately and it was effort. read more

Otis has the natural ability to make all the guests and the bride/groom feel welcomed and relaxed. He kept a nice pace throughout the night and is keen on knowing when to bring the energy up or down. Family and friends had nothing but compliments for him. Everyone had such a wonderful time! He speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin very very well. He's also funny and entertaining without trying too hard. Carina is very attentive and thorough. She answered all my questions and was just a nice person in general. Highly recommend The Day Entertainment! read more

I worked with Otis mostly and he was great. I had my wedding video done here. They did a wonderful job. I even went back and ordered a few more DVD's for my family. The person that did my video captured my day and the music they added for me was really nice. I also went to a friend wedding and they did her video, photos, DJ service, MC services and a photo movie clip. The job that they did on the photo clip was so great, the way they tied the music and pictures together was so nice and at the end I was in tears and the groom was too. read more

My husband and I just got married last Sunday and TDE could not have been a better company to help us during the whole process. We got the premium package which included everything from engagement pictures, to photographers/videographers as well as other flowers & decorations during the wedding. Jessica had been VERY attentive to the e-mails I keep sending her, and would reply very promptly with all of my demanding requests! She had been very patient throughout the the 9 months I worked with her and she definitely made the wedding planning process much easier for me. She even checked to make sure I wanted the gazebo in a certain way 2 days before the wedding, to make sure the decoration looks exactly the way I wanted it to. On the day of the wedding, Carol, the makeup/hairdo artist, had put in my crazy long veil in my hair for my first look, but because it was so heavy and long that it messed up my hair after I came back from the first look. She then quickly re-did my entire hairdo right in time before the ceremony! I even told her that I might need her to help me take off the veil right after the ceremony since it was bothering me so much. She followed me to the ceremony site and was with me the whole time to make sure the veil stayed in place after the ceremony for pictures! I don't know what I would do without her there!! I definitely appreciated all the efforts Carol put in to my hair and makeup on that day! For the flowers and decorations, TDE staff went above and beyond to ensure they are setting up the venue exactly the way I wanted it to look. One of the staff came over after my first look with my husband to ask me if I liked the wedding cake table design since the table the venue provided was a bit too big for the sequin table cloth. I appreciate how much detail they put in to every little thing at the ceremony and reception site. At the end of the night, Greyson even came to help me bring back the vinyl we had asked to be printed for a backdrop and explained carefully how to transfer it back home. He waited at the bridal cottage with me until my husband drove the car over so he could help me load it inside the car too. I can't say thank you enough for TDE's effort into making my wedding day go so smoothly! THANK YOU TDE!!!!!! :) read more

As a guy with a busy work schedule, planning the many details in a wedding is very time consuming and stressful. It was the perfect idea to choose TDE for their full package deal. Jessica is very organized and we went through each major items and just picked our preference. This minimized any fights/argument and stress. Since all the vendors are part of TDE, we didn't need a day of coordinator with us. Although, we had minor issues here and there, but at the end they were all resolved without having to bother me or the bride. All the staffs were very professional. My family was extremely happy since they had such a great time. read more

TDE is awesome! We hired TDE to do the decoration for our parents' anniversary party recently. Jessica, Otis, and team are professional! Perfect wedding thanks to TDE! My now wife and I started working with TDE about one year from our big day. Jessica was a pleasure to work with. She made the entire planning process a breeze. She captured all the details to make our wedding day special. We hired Jackson as our MC and he did a phenomenal job at ensuring our wedding was on schedule and entertained the guests. We had a bilingual wedding and Jackson effortlessly translated both English and Chinese to accommodate our family and guests. We also used TDE for our photography, videography, floral arrangements, and make up artists for the bridal party. All services turned out wonderful. The wedding photos and video exceeded our expectations thanks to Sam and the team. I only mentioned a few great names at TDE but we really appreciate the entire team including those behind the scenes that made my wife and I's wedding truly special. We highly recommend The Day Entertainment! read more

We were referred by two friends to check out TDE's services and we made an appointment to meet with Jessica. She was very professional and she showed us the wedding planning packages they offer. She was very straightforward and the pricing was reasonable. She started a project progress tracking sheet and we used it to communicate and track our choices and progress. The process was really smooth and Jessica was very responsive. The MC, Ken was also very professional and well prepared. He got compliments from a few of my relatives and they were interested in using TDE in the future. Lastly, the pictures and videos were amazing. I highly recommend TDE as your wedding or event planner. Thanks to the TDE team. read more

I honestly cant say enough great things about TDE Wedding Planning. With only 3 months to plan a wedding, I knew a wedding planner was a necessity. TDE was the first Wedding planner I called and I didnt even feel the need search for more after speaking with Otis. All of my worries were put at ease, from that very first meeting. Jessica handled it all. As well, listening skills, coupled with her creative eye and attention to detail, helped with turning our visions and dream wedding into reality.Special Thanks to Alice -an amazing make up artist of my wedding. The Photography/videography are so professional and helpful. I think the whole TDE crew did a great job overall. I had my wedding earlier this month and my guests told me they had an amazing experience! Thank you, TDE for staff for making my wedding day a success! I would like to give a shout out to Jessica, for her hard work throughout the year of planning and how meticulous and on top of everything she was. I honestly could not thank Jessica enough. I also want to thank Carina for her hard work and staying super close to the document I wrote up, she was very good about clarifying any questions she had and if there were any changes she updated me ASAP. I would also like to thank Otis for doing a great job as the Emcee, alot of guests came up to me afterwards to say how great he was. I would also like to thank Alice for her hard work, she was literally with me since 5AM in the morning that day and she did a phenomenal job with my makeup. She changed my hair at least 4 times that day and on top of that she did my mother's make up- which my mom was super happy with (thank you Alice!!!). Of course I would also like to thank the photography and recording crew, they were following us around all day and making sure to get everything covered. And lastly I would like to thank the set up and lighting crew, photobooth tech, and the DJ, honestly the party wouldn't look or sound like one without them! Thank you, TDE. read more

I heard a lot of good thing about Otis Fong, I was glad that I am able to request him for my wedding. My wedding experience with Otis on my wedding thing was a nightmare and disappointment. First, he was so demanding and rude on my wedding day. My family and friends all mentioned that he was unprofessional. I didn't know that too until I watch my wedding video, his first sentence when he begin: he said, "Everyone be seated and BE QUIET!" To me that is so unprofessional and so rude. Truly, I think he must have a bad day during my wedding or something. Since I have more than 430 people, Otis suggested me to have 2 more speakers, which cost additional $250.00 more. I don't mind paying if the service work and he deliver. Unfortunately, my guests told me that none of them can hear anything from the middle session to the back room. Regarding to instruction, somehow, he doesn't really follow my request, even through phone conversation or by email. If I could have change one thing for my wedding, I would never ever hired Otis Fong again. It suppose to be the best day in my life and it turns out to be disappointment. Beware, if your friend or relative has him as an emcee before, make sure you request him not to do the same game. I saw other people review and mentioned he sing and all that. On my wedding, he doesn't even do any of those. He is not too willing to select song for my relatives and friends to sing. Worse of all, when my mom ask him if he could find one song and let them dance, he said "We don't have that & we are out of time!!" I guess I am just not that lucky for that day. read more

I had the DJ and MC package. It was excellent, good preparation and follow up. Really enjoy the MC performance. Highly recommend!

These guys are great! When we first started calling around for decorators, I was surprised by the number of companies that wouldn't call back or just threw out outrageous estimates. TDE knows about service, they are a great value, and are a pleasure to work with. From the beginning, Rachelle and Jessica always answered the phone and returned emails quickly. We wanted a custom setup and they were all over it like pros. Within a week, we had a plan and had agreed on pricing. We met at the venue a month ahead to go over the design, and it was all smooth from there. The day of was where we were really surprised. TDE crew were on site and stayed during the event to make sure that the lighting was the best it could be and even reconfigured during the event as the mood changed to dancing late into the night. Great service and an amazing looking event. read more

I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but I wanted to do one especially for TDE. I worked with them for our Day of Coordinator, hair/makup serivces, and Photography services for our wedding last weekend. I was very happy with Carina for our Day of Coordinator services. She was very thorough and attentive to all the details of the day. She was SO easy to work with. Very professional and extremely responsive to all my emails, questions and concerns prior to our wedding day. The day went smoothly, and she got everything done on time. She kept the day moving and made sure we stuck to our timeline to ensure everything got done during the day. (pictures, travel times to and from ceremony to reception, set up of ballroom, timeline for reception). I was very happy I got to work with her. A few of my bridesmaids, my aunt, and mother had their hair and makeup done for the wedding. The hair and makeup artists were very professional. They arrived on time, and accommodated all the girls that needed hair and makeup done in 3 hours! They did a great job, and made any adjustments necessary for the girls. We also had Johnny as our photographer. He was great! Took a ton of shots. I had a list of photos I really wanted for the day. He took all of those, and suggested more for us that we wouldn't have thought of. He was very quick and accommodating for my large bridal party which at times could be hard to manage. He was also very easy to work with. He was also very good with the kids and making sure to get shots of all the guests and details. I can't wait to see the pictures when they're ready! Thank you TDE for your wedding services! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for multiple services all from one vendor! read more

If you're reading this and have the mindset that wedding is a once in a lifetime event and hence budget is not an issue, then read no further. For the rest of us who belonging to the hard working middle class, having a set budget, and paying for their own wedding in the bay area, I'd like to give you my 2 cents. If you don't have time to read all of this, I can sum everything up in 3 words: Bait and Switch. Steer away from this place regardless of how many positive reviews are posted. If you do decide to visit them, beware you will either be wasting your time or going above your budget. Our wedding is set for mid Sept of 2017 and we visited this place early Aug of 2016. We had all the major expenses set which were booked elsewhere (venue, catering and flowers) on the day we visited The Day Entertainment (TDE) and all we needed from TDE was DJ/emcee. My Fiancé researched extensively on DJ's and emcee's and decided to correspond with TDE early July 2016, via email to inquire details on availability of a specific emcee and pricing due to the overwhelming positive reviews found on yelp. The back and forth emails lasted a month and after acquiring all the details and questions we had, we decided to make an appointment in person in the hopes of signing a contract on that day (the price quoted fell within our budget and the date was open for that specific emcee). Fast forward a month and it's now early Aug 2016. We made it to our appointment and a different girl from the email had us fill out a form stating all the details including day of the wedding and location etc. (all of which were communicated in previous emails, but like doctor's office, I understand the need to condense all the info in one document). After we finished filling out the form, we handed it to the girl and she glanced at the form, without hesitation, the first verbal diarrhea that came out of her hole was (paraphrased) "I forgot to mention but that day we have a minimum of $6000". If my Fiancé had not put so much effort in researching this place or if my Fiancé was not with me during the appointment, I would've walked out without saying a word. This is classic bait and switch. The following explanation also boggles my mind... according to her, the peak season is sept and hence the minimum. All the venues we visited says otherwise, summer is the peak season for weddings and those are actually the dates that are booked first. When confronted with this fact, her rebuttal was, maybe for western weddings but for asian wedding, sept is peak. If that were the case, shouldn't the wedding venues reflect that since bay area is extremely diverse (looking on venue availabilities around the bay area, june july and aug dates were booked in advance of any dates in sept)? She followed this up with, "most of our clients does a package deal" (i.e. have them manage everything from flowers to lighting etc). And I responded with "If you're imposing a minimum of 6k, of course the only way to fulfill that minimum is to do a packaged deal, you're essentially forcing your clients to spend more". It's a catch 22, in order to be your client, you have to fulfill a minimum by going with a package, if you don't go with a packaged deal, you won't fulfill the minimum thus not becoming a client. So the comment "most of our clients does a packaged deal" is meaningless. In the end she tried to sugar coat the situation by saying she can ask her manager for an exception to just booking the DJ & emcee (1.7k which falls short of the 6k minimum). We got a response within 30min after we left and she stated that she's able to accommodate us and waive the minimum but the emcee we requested will not be available on that day so she gave us another emcee instead. Don't get me started, we don't want your sloppy leftover inexperience sub-par lowlife emcees that no one else wants. This should not be an "exception" and since you made it sound like you were doing us a favor when in reality you're the one knowingly practicing bait and switch, this alone made me salty enough that I decided to waste the time and write this review to warn others. Edit (01.12.2017) rebuttal to TDE's response: Do not sugar coat the situation, an "exception" offered for what was your mistake is neither a favor nor an "exception". You (as a company) made it sound like it's a privilege to be offered such exception but boil down to the facts, you are practicing bait and switch. You are neither honest nor upfront. Also, let me throw up this quote from your response "Or to make it easier to understand, many restaurants requires a $15 purchase to use a credit card, [...] it's just a matter of a company policy." Please look up "Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act". You cannot charge $15 as a minimum for CC's; this should be a red flag to all customers, they do not abide by consumer laws to even suggest this! Just because it's practiced doesnt mean it's legal. read more

I should have written this review over 2 years ago... We used TDE for most of our wedding services and loved that everyone we worked with was professional and accommodating. Ken was our emcee and he was amazing. My now husband and I knew we wanted him as our emcee after seeing him at a friend's wedding and at our recommendation he was emcee for another friend's wedding after ours. Otis, all the individual contractors, and every front desk/administrative personnel we worked with helped make our wedding planning experience smooth and successful. When we needed replacements for our wedding photos and videos 2 years later, Otis had them prepared for us and ready to pick up in no time. I give TDE my highest recommendation for anyone looking for a one stop wedding shop! read more

My husband and I got married in March 2016 and we hired TDE for audio/DJ/emcee/photography. Our wedding ceremony and reception was at CuriOdyssey, and TDE was familiar with the venue. Overall all of the services provided were excellent. Prior to the wedding we met with Rachelle and Jessica several times to plan the ceremony and reception with them. Since we were planning our own wedding, their help in planning the details/timing of each was extremely helpful. Otis, our emcee, and his crew were very professional and did a great job coordinating activities during the reception/keeping everything on schedule. DJ had a great mix of songs plus the songs we requested ahead of time, and also had a turntable and could take requests from our guests - this was really fun! The photographer was also very professional and easy/fun to work with as well. We highly recommend their services!!! read more

We initially thought that we could make do with an "ipod" wedding. Hiring a DJ was something we did not choose to do until a few weeks prior to the wedding day. The Day did a great job assisting with the audio details of the wedding. I went with a more basic package with them which included the setup and operation of some DJ-quality equipment. We provided our own playlist but they have their own song list you can choose from. Our technician did a fine job of accomodating our changes in timeline and really helped us take the worry out of managing the music throughout the evening as well as our slideshow component. Best of all the charges were very reasonable. I would recommend The Day to anyone who may need audio/visual/emcee assistance, or even if you're on the fence about it. read more

I used TDE for their emcee and DJ services. If you need an emcee that's fluent in both English and Cantonese, Otis is your guy! I held a wedding banquet last month. Half the guests are more comfortable with English. The other half were more comfortable with Cantonese. Everyone was able the follow and enjoy the evening. Otis kept all the activities going at a brisk pace, and the DJ filled the evening with great ambient music while ensuring all our requested songs got played. Everyone complimented how polished and professional Otis was. I recommend Otis and the DJ for your wedding banquet. read more

I am so glad that I was able to find this company and was able to meet such helpful people. This review is for their videography, wedding coordinator, decoration, and Emcee. First, I would really like to thank Carina my coordinator for doing such a wonderful job, sometimes you don't even know if she just keeps her computer on 24/7 just to make sure she is prompt on her emails, I think between me and her she went through more than 100 emails. She was very helpful in our search for many vendors even if it is not with their company. During our wedding day she was sure to make sure everything was on time and kept on updating me on everything going around during our wedding. I really really don't know how I could have completed this wedding without you. Next I would like to thank Stanley our videographier, he was very professional and helped us throughout the process. I can't wait to view our video. For all the other staff that was helping out, sorry I wasn't able to meet you guys in person but the decoration at Kohl was awesome. There was not a single guest that said that the decoration was bad. You guys went really over the top. Last but not least I would like to thank Otis our Emcee. Both me and my wife was really really worried at first that our event would be very boring and hopefully hiring an Emcee would help. Otis apart from being our Emcee was also hands on with many aspect of our wedding provided excellent advise on how to improve it. During our wedding he was perfect. He made sure our crowd which consisted of older generation and our friends which was the younger crowd all excited and hype up for our wedding. He was so fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English which was needed for our crowd. His games was also very fun and kept everyone involved. If you guys are not familiar with Otis you can hear his voice I believe on 1400AM but you seriously have to see him in action as he is better than advertise. Thanks Otis, Carina, Stanley and the rest of The Day Entertainment Staff for making both me and my wife day memorable. read more

Carina, Otis and Jessica was a pleasure to work with. We knew Otis from two family member's wedding and loved his work as an emcee. When it was our turn, my husband was for sure he wanted Otis to be our emcee so I inquired about their service. At first we just wanted Otis to be our emcee since I had other local vendors I was interested for the other services. I had the pleasure speaking with Carina and she helped answer all of my questions. She did informed us that there will be a minimum of service to meet in order to secure Otis as our emcee. Since my husband was adamant about using Otis, after our discussion, we decided to go with TDE. In order to meet the requirement, I had to select their a la carte services, although they did have packages to choose from. But since I didn't need photography and decoration, I decided to customize my own package by choosing only the services I needed. The services we got from TDE were Day of Coordinator, emcee/audio/dj services for ceremony and reception, uplighting, and photo booth. Carina was our DOC and I can't say enough good things about her. She was my first contact and was amazing to talk to. She was prompt with her responses and made herself available for questions. She's detail oriented and organized. I'm so glad I hired her as my DOC. People don't realize how important it is to have a DOC on your wedding day. You will be so busy and everyone else is running around doing things that you don't have time to fuss over the small details. That's where the DOC comes in. Throughout the process, Carina kept in touch via emails and calls even when she was on vacation. After each phone call, she will send me a detail outline of any changes I had for my ceremony and reception. Since TDE was located in the Bay, most of our discussion was via emails and calls. However, I did not doubt her ability to execute on my wedding day because of how organized and responsive she was. Since they couldn't make it for my ceremony rehearsal, Carina made her self available one hour prior to her scheduled time in order to review the plans with my event host. On the wedding day, she had everything set up and ready to go. My bridesmaid didn't even have to do anything. Carina is amazing to have on your wedding day. Otis was our emcee and he was wonderful to work with. We knew Otis was professional and he would do a great job hosting our wedding. He is such a responsible person, he contacted me and let me know he was going to be out of country, but would be available to discuss anything I need. He even called me to finalize some details for the timeline while he was on vacation. The day of the wedding, he was prepared and ready to go. He check in with us before starting service and made sure everything was good. The day of our wedding was extremely hot (106!!), he exceeded his job as emcee by checking up on us and making sure we were hydrated. He brought us water and chairs to rest while we were standing taking photos with guests. I guess you can tell we were beyond exhausted. During the reception, he kept our guests entertained and played some fun games. Otis followed the timeline really well and was flexible when needed. He would check in with us after each break. He did a wonderful job hosting in Cantonese and English. Very satisfied with his work. The only thing I would suggest on improvement is the photo booth. The photo booth was small. I didn't know how small it was until I saw it myself. The lights in the booth were huge so it took up a lot of the space. Although the booth came with props and unlimited printing, I was surprised for the price it didn't include a book and the photo strip was rather plain. They had the option of customizing the strip with your photo (extra fee); however, the general strip had no design or anything. It was just fonts. Other vendors I had inquired, their strips would have some type of design on it so it's not so plain. Also, the packages usually include a guestbook that the attendant will keep a copy of the guest photos for the newlyweds and allow the guests to write a message. Other than the photo booth, I would still rate TDE a 5 star for their superior work ethic, prompt response, and organization. Their professionalism is worth hiring. A huge thank you to the TDE team!! read more

Otis is the bomb.com. We were getting married and my family is not a primarily English speaking one. We have been to so many Chinese weddings where everything is in English, and the Chinese speakers keep on talking because they don't understand. My parents fall into this category. So, the search for a bilingual Cantonese-English emcee/dj began. Living in Oakland, we did not think it would be hard to find someone who fit the bill, but there were not many! Thank everything on this earth that we found Otis. His English and Chinese are perfect and to top it off, he is a local Cantonese radio celeb. My aunts and uncles got a little starstruck and definitely cornered him for pictures. He was super professional and entertained everyone with some icebreaker type games. Couldn't have asked for anyone better. All my guests commented on the amazing emcee. Family from England were asking if he could come over and DJ their wedding! The most important thing is that my father was able to read his speech in Chinese which came out so much more natural than it could've sounded in English. read more

We had Otis and Carina at our wedding for DJ and MC services and it was such a great time! We had guests speaking Cantonese, Mandarin, and English and Otis did a good job engaging everyone. He really keeps everything moving and all the guests said they had a fun time. When everyone arrived early, he suggested to start early and he also moved things around a little bit based on the situation and it worked out perfectly. I was surprised that Carina is the DJ but she did a great job too! I gave them lists of songs to play for the night and she played them at the right moments. I would recommend their service! read more

Book Otis for your wedding if he's available!!! Especially if part of your family prefers to hear Mandarin or Cantonese during the reception. We had a mix crowd of English speakers and Chinese speakers at our wedding. Otis was able to entertain both sides. All our guests spoke highly of him and we can't thank him enough for such a wonderful and entertaining reception. read more

I hired Otis for our wedding emcee and also their DJ service. Otis is very professional and he is fluent with both Cantonese and English. He did an excellent job on our wedding that he kept everything flowing smoothly and made sure all the guests are entertained and feeling comfortable. I met with Otis one week earlier before my wedding and worked with him to finalize the reception rundown and he was able to provide a lot of useful advise and suggestion to me. At the wedding, he really did a great job to keep our guest involved and connected. I would recommend Otis to anyone who is looking for a wedding emcee. The DJ services was also great. I gave them all the songs and videos in advance and instruction on when to play them and they played them at the right moment with no mistake. read more

TDE is the place to go for wedding services! We heard all the horrors with wedding planning with tons of different vendors, and now that our wedding is over with we are so glad that we went with the one stop shop that is TDE. The price is very very very reasonable, and service from Jessica was excellent. Very responsive and accommodated our requests prior to our wedding. On the day of, TDE really delivered. All of our guests complimented us on how everything was so great and our wedding went super well. Jackson was a great emcee for us, and Sam the photographer was really patient with us. Overall, two thumbs up for TDE and I would recommend TDE to anyone! read more

For every happy ending theres alway a story behind it and we definitely have one of those to share. We are extremely blessed to be able to find Carina & Otis who came to save the day. Our wedding would of been a diaster if it wasnt for them and their TDE team. Our previous coordinator decides to bail on us 2 months before our wedding and stringing us along with no direction, without TDE professionism and well coordination, our wedding would of not been well and smooth planned. We cannot thank TDE enough who were able to come on board at such short notice and highly recommend them to any couples. I can't forget to mention our awesome host/emcee Ken (who was recommended by a friend) was able to get the crowd going and made everyone laugh including us during our ceremony. Thank you TDE for working with us smoothly and calming our pre-wedding jitters. Many thanks to Otis & Carina and TDE team read more
