This was a bad experience. They told us the issue was that the ground had settled behind the walls of the pool and the fix was $16,000 to remove the concrete, fill it with dirt and repair the concrete. He tapped on the empty pool wall a foot down and said that all that was hallow. Turns out it was maybe 3 inches low. While they did the work the owner was not there and we had many concerns with the poor quality of work and the owner dismissed our concerns. There was a lot to fix when they were done. The fake brick pavers next to the cement was removed then put back unleveled, the fence has a large spot that the stain is off (a 4 foot square in the middle of the fence where they wiped cement off the fence), cement goes up the bottom of the fence, the resurfacing is not smoothed (you can feel it under the liner, especially where they dumped the cement into the pool when they were cleaning), and there is a sticky substance on the liner on a spot in the deep end. They removed the safety fence around the pool and did not put it back up stating that was not in the bid but they had us buy replacement posts when they first started. The diving board was loose (this was the only thing he sent someone back to fix), the plastic cover the conceal the screws was missing. The cement edges do not line up properly with the steps so the liner has gaps where water can get behind the liner. When I pointed this out the owner told me to get a hair dryer to heat the liner and stretch it. When I tried to continue to explain that concern, he had excuses. The solution I came up with for them refusing to put the fence back up was to get a quote from a handyman and the owner agreed to pay the fee. The quote was for $190 and when I told the owner he again became irritated with me and told me that he should change the deal on me and start charging for financing. He was only civil when I filed a complaint with the BBB, but still has not fixed the problems. read more
