Ive tried others only during times that I needed a quick wax and she didn't have availability. She's extremely personable, knowledgeable about her craft and above all gentle. Five stars for the brow wax! I can confidently say that my this is a great place for a brow wax, but my facial experience was terrible. I booked a facial based off the glowing reviews. Sadly, the only thing glowing about the facials are the reviews, not my face. Admittedly, I did have a bit of a flare up coming into our session, but I looked worse leaving, and my face hurts! A few reviews credit Geneen for her transparency, but she offered no transparency for my service. Specifically, she neglected to inform me of any products she used as she used them nor did she even say or explain what she was doing. I was offered no suggestions for my skin after or during (though she did inquire about my products and regimen), and she didn't even offer me a mirror to view her work after she finished. Makes sense, because my face looked and felt terrible after the facial. No tips for aftercare or what to expect following the service (redness, swelling, etc). To her credit, my face looked a little better about 6 hours after the facial, but my skin feels tight 24 hours later. I'm disappointed because I previously used Geneen for waxing on a regular basis, but after today, I will not be returning! PS: there was a previous situation where I ended up tipping her twice (once on zelle and on StyleSeat because I wasn't sure if SS went through). I haven't had a facial since February of 2020. I went today eager to get all of the gunk extracted from my T zone, nose and cheeks. I had an amazing experience with Geneen, she explained each product she was using as she was applying it and how it'd benefit my skin. This is a boutique skin care studio located in the Sola Salon Studios on East West Hwy in Silver Spring. Geneen gave me a deep cleansing facial with a chemical peel that did wonders for my skin! I struggle with hyperpigmentation so this is the treatment she recommended. She also talked to me about my skin, and explained what she did while she was doing it, which I appreciated. This facial was customized for my skin type, which made it even better. Not only was this the BEST facial I've ever had but it was also the most relaxing! I truly enjoyed my experience with Geneen. I had a mini facial and appreciated that she uses organic products. She has a great technique and was very thorough. This was my first visit and I found her through the advice of fellow yelpers. She is conveniently located right off the Rhode Island Metro in Rhode Island Row. The one downside was that I went on a Saturday and it was very busy in the neighboring salon suites. She did have soothing music and a fan that neutralized much of the noise. Geneen is the ultimate professional and very knowledgable about various products and skin types. I didn't feel rushed in any way and I felt she paid attention to detail. I have had two experiences with Geneen and have enjoyed both of my services. I love the facial and the relaxation session. On Saturday I got a Brazilian wax and eyebrow wax and I could not be more impressed. This was hands down the best wax I have ever had. It was painless! Geneen really pays attention to detail and soothes the skin as she goes. I couldnt believe it was over when she finished because it was so painless and I hadnt had a wax in months. When she waxed my eyebrows she really took her time getting my shape just right, she also used soothing oils. She tweezed any extra hairs when she was done. When i saw my eyebrows I was stunned. I received a facial from Geneen and it was probably one of the best facials I've ever gotten! Geneen makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. I really appreciate that she tailored the facial to my skin and the condition it was in at the moment. There was not one time where I felt like Geneen rushed through the facial, even though I was a little late for my appointment. This is important because I felt bad about being late and couldn't relax initially, but she helped me to forget about it!
