Weeks and weeks passed and they never reached out. I want to say maybe 6 weeks. After several calls and requests to get a time frame for the work, they finally told me that one was ruined and they had not gotten to the second one yet. However, I was now out of time and had to purchase a brand new weedwacker from them for the job. I asked what I needed to do for this transaction and they said nothing, the weedwacker was totaled. I bought the new weedwacker because I had no other options. Fast forward a year and they start demanding a $45 processing fee for one of these two machines. I went in to pay it and they left me waiting in the store by myself for 10-15 minutes. I left, came back a week later, and explained how inconvenient the entire process was and suggested we waive the $45 fee. Considering how proactive I have been trying to resolve this, I am very disappointed they insisted on charging me the $45 fee. I always got the vibe that Cecil's Tractors had a preferred clientele and I was not it. I am now convinced they do not want my patronage at all. No loss to me though--the service was always poor and prices very high. I always try to support my local businesses but they couldn't meet me halfway lol.

I have nothing but praise for the team at Prince William. They are professional and prompt with everything. The boatel experience is the best way to do your boating on the Potomac. The boat is high and dry when you are not using it, but is always in the water, fueled and ready to go when you want it. Boats stored in a boatel retain their resale value because they just do not age! They are not sun damaged, they do not get marine growth, they do not get vandalized... It is the best way to protect your investment. The marina has a great clientel and local yacht club. They have a heated pool for customers and it is open longer than your neighborhood pool - it is a great place to hang out and meet new friends when you can't or don't want to be out on the hook. The restaurant at Prince William is only okay - Honestly though, I have found that all the waterfront restaurants on the Potomac are lacking - between no real winter business and no real weekday business during the season, none of them can retain quality chiefs or wait staff. But you can get a decent burger and fries here - about all you would expect or need after a day on the water. The bar is lively with a full band schedule. It has a regular crowd that can be a bit sketch at times. Lots of nice Harley's in the parking lot next to the BMW's and SUV's if you are into the biker crowd. But it is generally a pleasant mix of people and I've never heard of any problems. Boating is not cheap - looking at some of the reviews, it seems that other reviewers may have had different expectations. PW Marine's service department does have high rates, but they are in the normal range for waterfront repair yards. The quality of their work is OUTSTANDING. You get what you pay for. Previously I had to drive to Fredericksburg, more than 18 miles, to get to the nearest Advance location. The managers at this store are very good, and have a lot of automotive and parts knowledge. There does seem to be some turnover among the staff, but usually I can deal with String Stringfellow or another store manager. I have had very few problems there, and those have been minor. I dropped off a car battery there to be tested/charged recently, and when I returned it turned out the battery had been lost. But their records showed my battery had tested out as defective on their machine, and was still under warranty, so they gave me a brand new battery, and I was on my way! This store handles internet orders very well and very promptly. It is super convenient to be able to order my parts on their website, and then pick them up at the store. Store-pickup of internet orders is a breeze; which is not the case with some other retailers who say they have in-store pickup of web orders. Advance also regularly runs specials/promos on their website, which enable me to get at least a 15% discount with almost every internet order I place with them. The Bealeton Advance Auto Parts store is definitely one of the better auto parts stores I deal with as A DIY mechanic; and is the first place I check when I need something for one of my cars and trucks.
