Say what you will about the Domain, but I've found some great spots sprinkled throughout the shopping center, like Taverna. Would definitely recommend checking out the place if you haven't already. So overpriced, pretentious, and just all around disappointing. Where to start? The food was terrible. I ordered the salmon and, despite asking what temp I'd like it (medium-rare to medium, as recommended), it came out very well done. I really don't enjoy chalky, dry salmon. My husband ordered the branzino, and it was overcooked to the point of rubberiness. Both were extremely under-seasoned, needing several generous shakes of table salt just to have some flavor. The service was so bad it was weird. Our server didn't come back to ask how the food was until my husband was already done with his plate. Meanwhile, our friend was literally still lifting a forkful of food to her mouth when someone unceremoniously cleared her plate without a word. She tried to stop them but they were too fast and she was still chewing! They tried to take my plate, too, but I was at least able to tell them I wasn't done. Our server dropped dessert menus for half the table while the other half was still eating their entrees. Then he tried to drop off the check before asking if we actually wanted dessert (which we did), and still before I was done with my entree. We asked for more dessert menus, which were never brought. They left empty glassware from our initial round of drinks on the table the entire meal. We eventually put them on the neighboring table ourselves to make room for shared desserts and share plates. The service at least was friendly. The atmosphere is nice enough. That's about it tho. And there are way too many birthday parties. I recommend you find literally anywhere else to eat. read more

I noticed the tables had butcher paper over them, which sort of cheapens the experience. Drinks: 1/5. The espresso martini was unfortunately a disappointment. Little to no coffee flavor, and very strong. Food: 2/5. The meatballs were the highlight of the night. Flavorful and saucy. Unfortunately, can't say the same about the Tonnareli Cacio e Pepe. The waiter did not melt the cheese before mixing the pasta on the cheese block, so the pasta ended up being extremely dry and clumpy. It tasted like microwaved pasta. The waiter also accidentally crushed too much black pepper on the pasta, which only made the taste worsen. Service: 3/5. While the waiter was nice, he did take awhile to bring us our drinks and get our order. And after his accidental black pepper over pour, he did not offer to replace the pasta or somehow make it better. Sadly won't be returning. read more

Came on a weekend so I did expect it to be busy but we were sat within 5-10 minutes for a table of 4 on a Sunday around lunchtime. Restaurant is cute and has outdoor and indoor seating. Came here for the first time last week for a friend's birthday. We dined under the covered patio since I brought my dog, there were flies hovering our food which was a bit unpleasant but that's given our choice to sit outside. Service and servers were great. I didn't know what to expect with the food since I've never been. The mussels and bucatini were my favorites. The mussel broth was very tasty. It was a tomato broth but the tomato taste was not overpowering which I loved. The bucatini was in a carbonara sauce which normally can be quite salty to me. This one wasn't even with the pancetta. After a week long visit with my sister in Texas for her birthday, we decided that we would have her birthday dinner here at taverna. We had booked for a 7pm dinner a couple of weeks in advance before I visited to make sure that we were all set. We had never been and we love trying new places so we were excited to have great Italian food. We arrive at 6:45pm and know we are early. The hostess advised that at 7pm there may still be a half hour to an hour wait. We advised that we made reservations so we wouldn't have to wait that long. I understand maybe 10 minutes for a reservation when it's busy but nothing more. There were also 4 tables we saw that were not taken when we were still not called at 7:20pm and we asked about it and were told to wait our turn and that those families are just late. The hostess was absolutely rude. She wouldn't give her name. She looked Mexican and petite girl. When another hostess or maybe it was a sever overheard this situation, she came up to us and apologized and asked if we would like to be seated inside or out and we said whichever was easiest for them. We got seated outside and she got our drink orders. The food was actually very delicious! My sister and I both ordered the risotto and it was amazing!!!!! The burger that my sister's bf ordered was not that great. The drinks were also very good and strong! We did advise it was my sister's birthday and they did not do anything special or even offer a dessert. All in all, there would be more stars here but because of the bad experience with the hostess, it made for a sour experience. We are just glad at least the food was good. read more

We brought our 5 year old son and there is a nice little play area with artificial turf. He had fun playing while we waiting. We started with Mussels in butter sauce. I don't eat as much seafood as my wife but this dish was tasty. The bread dipped in the butter sauce with basil was a nice addition. We then shared a Caesar Salad. It was good but nothing that veered off the common path. It was fresh. We also had the Spaghetti with added Meatballs. It was tasty and the noodle were just right (my wife is a noodle expert). Had dinner here last night. First the good. We had an amazing server Rachel. So nice. She had a great knowledge of the menu and provided fantastic service. Underwhelmed. I asked for a recommended pasta. It was suggested I get the pasta with truffles, wild mushrooms, and cream sauce. A lot of professional chefs refused to use truffle oil. I saw many different types of parties from couples to families coming in for a night out for dinner. I started with an Italian old fashioned and an order of their meatballs. The old fashioned was a little sweet and found the meatballs to be really delicious. Then for the main course I ordered a pasta and fish dish. Got Paglia E Fieno and Branzino al Forno. The Paglia had a really strong truffle taste to it but everything paired well together from the chicken and the mushrooms. Then the sea bass was really delicious it was paired with roasted vegetables that made for a really nice combination.
