While completely overpriced, the food is good and the service is on point! It is clean and there are lots of tvs to watch local sports.

I have eaten here 2x in the last 2 weeks and the food is ok. Nothing extra in anyway. In fact, my last visit was very disappointing. Arrived at 1p and both my friend and I ordered the Chicken Alfredo. It came out room temperature! We made waitress aware and she took our plates back to the kitchen which always makes me nervous. Meals came back hot so we continued with our lunch. The sauce had a good flavor but the peppers were scarce. More peppers and a nice crispy piece of garlic bread would have been a added touch. Waitress needed to be asked twice for salt and pepper, and new utensils. We were comped a large piece of carrot cake that was loaded with yumminess but the outside was starting to dry out from being cut and sitting out? The ambiance is nice but unfortunately, I won't be going back. read more

Brand new sports bar to serve the growing population of Morrison with new construction on both sides of C-470. Giant big screen TVs are plastered everywhere. It's a scratch kitchen, which means even the salad dressing is made there and the food reflects this quality and care. The pizza is of the thin crust variety. Our carrot cake desert was moist and full of flavor. Nice selection of beer on tap, wine and interesting cocktails. Wait staff was attentive and downright enthusiastic. The only issue we experienced was the noise level. With hard floors, hard ceilings and hard walls. It's almost impossible to hear the person sitting at the same table. Would be nice if they did something to absorb some of the din. Our first visit to this newcomer on the southwest side of the Denver metro. We'll be back. read more

Visiting from out of town and decided to try this place and we were very pleased. Adrian our service gave us 5 star service and great recommendations for food. All the food was fantastic and we especially liked the potato bacon soup, salmon and pork chop. Finished off with the chocolate chip cookie skillet and that was the finishing touch. The hostess and server were both friendly and relaxed even though the restaurant was in its early days. I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, deviled eggs, short ribs and the seafood 'chowdah' w/a large piece of halibut - the latter of which was a phenomenal value at $21. Decided to try this new place tucked over off Quincy. The drinks were delicious. We ordered the margarita pizza. I wish I would have taken a picture. Basic tomato sauce, too thick sliced tomatoes, barely any cheese or basil. I will come back and try something else on the menu. I think their missed opportunity was not building the bar in a full square/rectangle all the way around. Instead how it is laid out it really weird and separated out into two different sections and makes the side with the bar feel small and cramped. read more

Went there last night, the food was great I recommend the Korean bbq wings they were my favorite! We had a big party but they were sooo accommodating! Tavern 242 has a friendly and welcoming staff, which was definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the food was pretty mediocre--nothing stood out, especially considering the high prices. For what you pay, you'd expect a bit more flavor or creativity. While the atmosphere was okay and the service pleasant, the overall experience didn't quite justify the cost. Third time is not the charm. I was so excited for this restaurant to open. Having now tried it three times, I will not return. 1. Meal one: smash burger and oysters (waitress begs us to try them with green chili so we do... big mistake) 2. Meal two: Caesar salad, pizza, wings 3. Meal three: lindo salad add chicken, egg rolls, burger with mashed potatoes. The dressings are WAY too thick - like a thick dipping sauce. The lindo salad came with an avocado ranch "dressing" but nothing about it was liquid like - I had to dip pieces of spinach into the "dressing." The Caesar was very fishy in a not fresh way - not edible. The green chili on the oysters was very odd tasting and didn't go well with the oysters. Mashed potatoes were terrible - first time I've ever had bad mashed potatoes... Prices are high. Restaurant is loud. Service is meh. After reviewing the other reviews, I know a snarky response from owner/chef Sherri is coming, but I will not be afraid. It is not fun in your restaurant experience to say food stinks - we tried on visit two. The waitress made a huge deal about getting the salad we didn't touch comped, like we were mooching or asking for something for free. Didn't do that again when the food sucked the next time. This place is amazing!!! My co-worker and I decided to try this place out and wow so glad we did! The absolute best burger we've ever had no joke!! Christina the chef came out and talked to us and told us how they make them with the amazing ingredients she uses and she was so kind and sweet to take the time to talk with us, now that's great customer service! They put heart and soul into making their food. The environment is so pleasant with beautiful views of the front range. The decor is cozy and beautiful. Tavern 242 is the real deal. The staff worked very hard to make our dining experience a 10. For an upscale sports bar, this place is reasonable and the food is really good. We had a couple of pizzas and they looked better than I expected. The flavor was fresh and I could tell they make everything from scratch. For a new place, they have it pretty dialed in. Whomever makes the deserts is doing it right. The cookie was amazing and looked liked it came from a 5 star place. Keep it up 242 crew. We'll definitely be going back. read more

We are really excited that Tavern 242 has joined the neighborhood. The place was packed at 7pm on a Friday and for good reason. Our server was Nick and he was really friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the deviled eggs starter (tasted great) and then shared the short rib entree and the scallops with Mexican corn entree. Both entrees were fantastic and we would easily get them again. Really nice cocktail and wine list and the dessert was really good, too. We will be back! read more

Hard to judge. These guys have been open about a week. Service was great. Fried avocado was good. We get an avocado when ever there on the menu my wife likes them. I just have trouble with cost 15.00. My wife had the grilled cheese and liked it. I had the double smashburger. Bun was dry and the burger really didn't seem smashed. Maybe its my age but 19.00 for burger it better be a great burger and not average. We only had coke couldn't gudge the bar. It was nice and comfortable inside. We decided we would go back in a couple of months once they have had a chance to get the bugs worked out and try other items on the menu. Not bad for just a week. read more

Just tried Tavern 242 and loved every bite. We had two appetizers - the Brussel sprouts and fried avocado and then finished up with the best carrot cake I've ever had. My wife and I had every intention of trying at least one entree but the appetizers filled us up. The portions are generous, the service is friendly and efficient, the vibe is welcoming and the prices are very reasonable. Every time I head to Home Depot I see Tavern 242 next door and say to myself I need to check it out. Well, last night I went with husband and son. Kristen was our server and was great and knowledgeable about the menu items. This is a "from scratch" kitchen and the the proof is in the flavor!
