The staff here is fantastically friendly and fast. This is my go-to florist on special occasions. I fancy myself an expert-amateur when it comes to picking out flowers (meaning I can name like 6 different types...), however, left to my own vices I would never be bale to put together the incredible arrangments that the staff here can make look easy!! With the help of their guidance, I get to take all the credit for "hand picking" the arrangement but avoid all of the angst involved with actually hand picking it.... The flowers are wonderful, but the staff here are the real heroes! This is my new favorite florist. I'm a huge fan because of the charm of the owner and the value of the arrangement. They also let my sweet dog come in (she's a therapy dog and they loved on her), had my order delivered in an hour across town and sent me a pic of the arrangement. Totally exceptional. Lisa communicated with my church to gain entry ahead of time and get everything in there perfectly. I added a request for an aisle runner at the last minute and she didn't bat an eye. They transported the flowers from the church to my reception venue. I didn't have to worry about any of it getting done, it just did. She helped me create the wedding I envisioned and made it a stress free experience. she really has an artful eye. I ordered flowers through Avas Flowers to be delivered to St. Joseph's hospital. I received an email back saying the flowers were delivered at 11 am and the intended recipient was discharged at 2 pm that day but never received the flowers. Whoever delivered the flowers just dropped them off and I have no idea who actually got the flowers. Do NOT use this service. read more

I was given this florist's number as being near the hotel where I wanted to send "something" to celebrate the adoption of a little boy by my nephew. I called and spoke to Carol who was so enthusiastic. I guess she could hear the excitement in my voice. She made some wonderful suggestions well within my budget. I told her I needed it delivered that am, because I was not sure when they were leaving the hotel. She put together the most adorable bear and balloon bouquet and delivered it in less than 2 hours. Received two large pointsettia plants yesterday. Blooms are true red and an abundance of stems. It was packaged in a basket to resemble Santa's suit, complete with fur, buttons, black belt and satin bow. The basket can be re-used again for another Christmas. I was hosting a hawaiian themed baby shower and needed a florist near where the shower was being held. Did a quick Yelp search and came up with a list of florists to call. I spoke to Lisa (Tatum Flowers) about two weeks prior to the event. I needed two fresh leis and loose orchids. Not only did she have the best price of all the shops I called, she was the nicest! I placed my order and she happily agreed to have them ready for me early in the day. The day of the shower when I went to pick everything up, Lisa had everything ready. My lei's were beautifully packaged. I planned to put the loose orchids in a plan vase at the house, but Lisa has some really gorgeous vases at a great price. I ended up buying a pretty deep purple vase. Lisa was so sweet that immediately took the orchids filled the vase with rocks, water and arranged the orchids for me. She packaged it nicely for me in a to-go box. Lisa was so great to work with! Clearly she knows what she's doing and takes great pride in her work. I would recommend this flower shop to anyone. I plan to use Tatum Flowers again when I am in need of fresh flowers. read more
