NEVER EVER GET Anything done....especially a piercing at Tattoo Seen in Throgs Neck, Bronx, NY. I had my nose pierced by their piercer Cam, who is AMAZING and did an excellent job with the initial piercing.. However, a month later the jewelery gem fell off and they refuse to replace it...and will only SELL me a piece. The person who answered the phone, a RUDE WOMAN named Gabby, was extremely unprofessional and I will make sure that every place I can post or call to report this I will... as well as make sure I spread by word of mouth NOT to go there. It's not like I'm asking for an expensive piece of jewelry...I just want a replacement of the same one so the hole does not close. read more

First let me say this was an amazing experience! & I'm saying this because I don't like needles ! I came from Cali to visit my BF & I really wanted to get a tattoo of his hand writing in script- So this being my 3rd time in NYC I didn't know any tattoo shops so we called this shop last min b/c I'm a reckless lover who needed to get tatted Is was around closing time but they waited and was very pleasing and sweet, I told them I was nervous & they let me play my song in the shop which was beyond sweet & this tat took less than 5 mins I forget the guy who tattooed me but he had red hair is the helps, but was super cool & chill! I will most def be coming back to this place to get tattooed again read more

Just the best place to get tattooed, since all those years, always a great crew, clean service and fun times!

I've had work done here before and they do a pretty good job. Not this time. We each got 'matching' anchors. The picture speaks for itself. Wish I never ignored the strong smell of 'smoke' coming from the back. Thanks 'Handsome Pete.' read more

This is my 4th time getting a tattoo from Mel! She is awesome! I have been coming here, when I get the "bug" to get something. She did my very first one, that I picked, and a few years later, I had her go over it! Amazing! This time I had a very personal area done. I needed to do my scarring on my breasts from 6 surgeries! I chose mel, because I know her work. I told her I wanted cherry blossoms, and she does her homework! And off to work she goes ! I will try to post a partial pic of the Breast area, when it's all done. Thanks for all your the great work! I get many compliments!! read more

I wish I could remember the name of the guy piercing, but he was very kind. I was nervous about getting my nose piercing and he had eased my nerves by joking around with me. The piercing was quick and clean, looked great. I would definitely recommend for people to get piercings here for sure. read more

To the owner You should get better person to answer your phone I called got very rude response the response the attitude was very shitty greeting no hello or anything it was very cold almost wtf are you calling for I asked about cover up he said depending on the tattoo size and if if Artist wants to work with you Which is very rude. How about you can come in for consultation than we can give you response or see if we move foward This Person was so disrespectful I will not go here waste my time too many shops around here sounds like elite shop that prefers certain type it's okay won't waste my money or time ! read more

Coming in for my second tattoo the receptionist was giving an attitude to the questions I was asking. It seemed as if he was annoyed to answer. But I didn't mind it and continued on with the conversation. Towards the end to finally book my appointment asking about how much the deposit is, he took a heavy sigh and spoke to me as if I was a child, or as if it was common sense. This lead to me not even scheduling the appointment and walking out the store. I get everyone has a bad day however this is not good customer service skills. The receptionist nasty attitude is what's gonna cost this business their customers. read more

I was in that place to do a tattoo removal. When I did it they never showed their faces again. I got a burn in my skin and when I asked to see the lady that did the procedure she never was there. They don't have any ensure to cover bad practice. Don't go to that place! It is the worst read more

Dez priced me today and he was awesome! he was quick about his work but I didn't once feel rushed. The piercing itself was so quick and surprisingly painless, he is great at what he does and it shows in his work. I left with perfect piercings in less than 15 mins ... he's funny and makes you instantly feel comfortable too!! read more

Melissa is the absolute best!!!! Never had such a great time getting a tattoo!!!!!! Can't wait for my next one!!

I got my tattoo done here over a year ago by Mike and I like this place. I think it depends on who you get when they see you cuz some of the staff members can be a little "hood." But I personally think that the "receptionists" attitude shouldn't matter just as long as your tattoo comes out the way you want it too cuz its something you're going to have on you forever unless you want to spend the money and get it removed, which I heard is more painful then getting the tattoo itself. No thanks! read more

I wouldn't say Tattoo Seen isn't the worst tattoo shop, but I certainly wouldn't choose to go there again. The reception staff was decently friendly, no problems there. I forget the name of my tattooist i had, he is a brunette male. I am not recommending this place because I just don't think the quality of work I received was good. During my tattoo session I found out that the tattooist was an overworked, stoner. I have nothing against stoners, but if you are overworked (and probably under qualified to begin with) combined with being burnt (from smoking pot) it just does not make a recipe for a good tattoo. All I wanted to get was the addition of some tribal work to a tribal shoulder tattoo I already had. In the end I paid like $130 for 3 mediocre tribal lines added to what I already had. When I showed to work to other tattooists after the fact, they said the work looked very amateur. wouldn't go back read more

Went here a couple days ago to get pierced by Jaks & I highly recommend ! I was scared and he made jokes to ease the process. Not to mention the level of pain I expected was not the reality it was nearly as painless as possible with how quick it all went. Anyone getting pierced, Jaks is your guy for sure ! read more

Tattoo Seen has zero integrity...if you're looking to get a tattoo, buyer beware!! They will try to rip you off. I recently "got had" and regret going there. While the work they did was ok in quality, the quote $160 per hour was based on the premise, the time it would take to complete the tattoo, was an hour and it wasn't. The artist's name is Phil and pretty coincidental that some positive reviews below were written by someone named Phil. Hmmmm. Conversely, I went to a shop in Brooklyn namely Brooklyn Made Tattoo and they were unbelievably professional and their prices were totally reasonable. It was certainly worth driving the 20 miles to get there...do yourself a favor, go somewhere other than tattoo seen!!! read more

Went to get a tattoo at Tattoo Seen during my last week of vacation on August 23 , 2017 . Went in with a few ideas for a cross for my arm . The guy at the front desk was very helpful and Prospect was the artist that helped me out and came out with the final design. The place is spotless everywhere you look. The work stations are immaculately clean. Prospect did a awesome job on my first tattoo . Although I'm 55 I just may go back for another one. Thank I'm very happy with your work. Tattoo Seen gets 5 stars hands down. I've been tattooed by four of the guys here and each tattoo remains awesome. Anything short of operating room cleanliness is not an option in there. The whole staff is very helpful. I'd recommend Seen to anybody looking for almost 30 years of tattoo experience. My tattoos are filled with color but I've seen some crazy black and grey tattoos come out of there. read more

Since my last review I've been back a half dozen times. Twice in the last month alone!! Shop is always clean, Staff always helpful. They even have theme days! (Sailor Jerry's B-day, Friday 13th.) First let me begin with whoever wrote that review about Pon must of been having a bad day. (Or maybe she didn't get what she really wanted.) :) I can not honestly say much about the store due to meeting Pon at the Tattoo Convention in Boston. Now the convention is mainly used for ones looking for big pieces. After checking with a few other artists and getting a snooty 'we don't do small pieces here go away' attitude, my friends and I came across Tattoo Seen. My friend spoke with Pon first, and he was more than accommodating and happy to do her small piece. Once I spoke with him I also knew that he was going to do my arm piece. My friend ended up getting hers done by another artist there, who was wicked friendly and awesome too. (I am SO sorry I forgot your name!) Pon proceeded to do my work, and then I ended up wanting one more small piece on my inner wrist (because my girl got two) and he did not even blink and only charged me for the new needle. (He was not aware I was wanting two at this point.) He was so friendly and funny. Also, the work that we both got exceeded our expectations, while being very, very reasonable. Overall, I have to say it was one of the best tattoo experiences I have had. (And I do have a few.) I plan on making a trip to NY soon. Here is to you Tattoo Seen. You guys rock. Period. read more

I have been getting my ink done at Tattoo Seen since I was 17 years old (back when you were allowed to get tattooed under the age of 18 with a parent's consent.) Over the course of 10 years, 9 of my 18 tattoos have been done by various artists at Seen. I have always been happy with the service provided as well as the quality of work. I have personally been tattooed by Melissa, Mr. Den, Handsome Pete and my brother had 2 gorgeous pieces done by Prospect. The shop is beyond clean and the staff is super sweet. After a revamp of the front desk staff (the old front staff honestly was not too friendly) I enjoy coming into the shop even more! I will continue coming into Seen for years to come (or until I run out of skin to tat!) read more

I just came out and the people are not very respectful. I got a very simple piece and I guess the women who did my tattoo was apparently bored with what i wanted and I think high, because there was a strong smell of weed in her room. she was rude and made fun of what i wanted. these people think all because they are tattoo "artist" they are to cool for manners and to be respectful to people who are paying them for a service and experience. unless you want okay work and crappy service don't go here!! read more

I don't have any tats, but I always take friends up here when they are in town for some ink. I know a couple of artist that work here and they are top notch at their game. Got my septum pierced here a few days ago for $40. The shop was super clean but I had to go find something to do and come back because the piercer wasn't there when the shop opened. She was very thorough when it came to talking me through the process and healing. She even pulled out different jewelry so I could see which one fit my face better and then clamped my nose and held the needle in place and waited till she felt my body was ready to pierce me. It hurt insanely for a minute or two afterward and my eyes watered but I'm pleased with the experience and will definitely come back to her when I'm ready to get pierced again. There hasn't been much swelling, ibuprofen takes away the pain and I can flip it up for work without any problems. My piercer was: Karen Kacey read more

I saw Maggie back in June for my very first tattoo. Uncomfortable doesn't even begin to describe how uncomfortable she made me & my boyfriend feel. She seemed annoyed with everything. Just rude all around. I tried taking a picture and she came out of her face for that too . The shop is clean and bright as the lighting is good; however, my artist Pete was quiet, polite & professional the downside is he didn't put much thought and effort into my piece as the letters are juvenile and scream inexperienced. I can only blame myself as I was not pleased with the stencil and I still allowed him to put ink to it. I'll wait until it heals to see if it looks better; however, I'm not impressed with his work. My letters are kind of wonky. The work is amateur. read more

Out of nowhere I decided to go get my nostril pierced. I figure since I live in the neighborhood, I can get it done here. Bad idea! Since it was an impulsive thing, I didn't do my research. The female that pierced me was nice, but that doesn't mean she did a good job. First of all it hurt like hell and to top it off she nix me in two different spots. There was no stopper used for the needle. So if you flinched the needle just might nix you, which in my case it happened. The piercing was in the middle of my nostril. Looked horrible. I didnt think much of it until I took a good look and realized that is not the look I'm going for. It is what ppl would call a "Tupac piercing". it was NOT CHIC!!! I couldn't get use to how it looked, so I called. Luckily she wasn't there and I would have to come in the next day. It gave me time to think and do research. Thank god I didn't make a second mistake to get it re-pierced at the same place (Seen Tattoo). Don't get your nostril pierced here. I found a way better place! read more
