I can't say enough good things about Born4Ink and the owner Jimmy! Almost all of my tattoos are done by him, though I have a few done by the incredible other artists he has employed (Jaq and Hek!). Jimmy's work always ages well and his prices are 100% reasonable. I requested an appointment kind of last minute this week for a small shoulder piece; not only was Jimmy accommodating of my request but he also got the tattoo done quickly and skillfully! The way he works and the atmosphere of the salon is so relaxed and laid back, you feel right at home when you go. Whether it's your first tattoo or your tenth, Born4Ink is the place to go if you want quality work!

I found Born 4 Ink through a referral from my brother who got his piece done with Jimmy a few years back and it was great! I was so nervous being that it was my first tattoo but all the employees there where super nice and reassuring, really helped me feel way better about this new mark on my body for the rest of my life. Jimmy's work was so quick and easy it was amazing. I'm in love with my two new tattoos and will definitely go back for more in the future!!!

So I live in Long Island but grew up in the Bronx. I went to this shop twice over the past 6 months. Heck was very kind and VERY patient as I complain and hyperventilate through the pain. My skin is very sensitive. They have numbing spray which works like a charm. Their prices are reasonable and will match any local artists price. Jimmy aka The Great Tatsby is the one to talk to about prices. He is fair and if they can't do a piece they are honest. They don't just start drawing in you unless they are confident they can do it. You won't be disappointed.

Update: We came back to see Kao, aka the Legendary Tatzilla, aka Tatsmanian Devil. My boyfriend got his tattoo this time, and we love it! Again, his timing was absolutely astonishing. It was a busy day, but he managed to squeeze us in and get us out in a timely manner. Kao is a true artist, many know him as the Bruce Lee of ink. We will definitely always come to Born 4 Ink for all of our tattoos.

I went to get two small tattoos for myself and to take my 70 year old friend to get his very first tattoo. My experience was outstanding, very friendly and welcoming staff. My artist was Jaq, she was down right amazing. She took the time to make sure we were both happy with our design and placement. I neverrrr leave reviews but this establishment wowed me. I went in for a tattoo from Jay. BOOK HIM !!! so focused. You can actually tell he loves what he's doing and makes sure you are comfortable and satisfied the whole time with literally everything !! Amazing service. And so professional. Got a total of three tattoos so far by Jay and don't plan on stopping. Tattoos came out PERFECT !!! Jay really does not disappoint. Not to mention the staff is amazing as well. The location was an easy find and parking was easy too. The artist were working and I lucked up and got Jimmy to do my tatoos. He drew them right on the spot (no tracing) and I was done in about an hour and a half. I LOVE my tatoos!! I loved their professionalism and service. The guys were friendly and polite. The spot was clean and tons of art work are scattered all over the walls. Loved it!!!! It sounds like the tattoos here are great, but DON'T come here to get a piercing!! I got a smiley done here and the guy had absolutely no idea what he was doing. He pierced the tissue three or four times, didn't use a clamp, and could barely get the piercing closed. I was so freaked out that I went and got a second opinion from a different piercing place and I had to get it redone because he had put it in off-center and way too high up! It sucked having to pay for the same piercing twice. Save your money and go somewhere else read more

I'm just realizing now that it's been around 2+ years that I've found this place on Yelp and never did my own review, how tragic . Anyway so I was super inspired by a Native American tattoo pic I had found online, purchased it(it was that serious) and refused to let just anyone tat it on me (for years). I finally went to Yelp for help (I'm quite a poet sometimes I know) . I priced it around and Jimmy at Born 4 Ink offered the best pricing and has 5 stars to boot. I made a deposit and met with him after making my appointment. Let me just say he knocked my socks, bra, wig, panties and everything off. Like seriously he's amazing. I am now after all this time still so happy with his work. I do have a pics but cant find it in my phone but he's got it on his IG page @the_great_tatsby and I have it on mine @only1chevybee for viewing. I've since gone back to get an older tat jazzed up and I've recommended him to so many people. I have more tats in mind and take a wild guess who'll be doing them. Honestly he just gets what's in your head and brings it to life. He's great with suggestions which I love. He gets back to you via phone, email or text. They're a professional but fun shop. He makes you super comfortable and spaces his appointments out well. It was a trek for me with no ride at the time but no regrets whatsoever. Customer once, customer for life, it's like family except you actually like visiting them . If you want a tat or cover-up this is the spot ! read more

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! I came here for my first tattoo and I honestly do not regret it at all. Very clean environment, equipment was sterile and the tattoo artists were very friendly and helpful. The pricing is very reasonable and the tattoos showcases that. I picked this place randomly and I am so glad everything turned out well. Dont go to this place for piercings, its not worth your money. He messed up with my helix had to pierce it a second time, but placed it on the wrong area. Its not a helix piercing i dont know what it is. He should have said he had know idea what he was doing. I still paid the guy and gave tips too. $40 down the drain I think his name was Hector not sure, it was the chubby Mexican guy. read more

So I went to this shop for a birthday present for myself, I had looked up the shop check their reviews even check their Facebook page so I could see their work, they received so many good reviews and after going myself I totally agree they have AWESOME customer service the shop is clean and I felt very comfortable, I made an appointment with Hekk and I gotta say I'm beyond happy with my tattoo Hekk was GREAT he wasn't heavy with his hands which made dealing with the pain bearable and I will definitely go back for more work ((^__^))!!! read more

Jimmy the owner is so personable and has the best customer service!! On a day that the shop was CLOSED (due to it being Christmas) I requested an appointment and he responded within ONE hour. He heard my situation and though unfortunately I was not able to get my mom her tatt here (because of a walk in right before her) I know for sure that I WILL be coming here for my next ink. Just showing the great place this is and how the value people and their time the one artist who was there having a person in the chair and a follow up walk in was very hospitable as well. Customer service is huge to me as many places don't give a damn anymore BUT this shop is NOT one of them. Set up your appointment ASAP read more

Went in today from Parkchester to get a small geometric shape done on my legs. I had never been before, but the owner and staff were all great and very friendly. Born 4 INK opened it's doors on March 3rd 2012. They quickly gained popularity through word of mouth and became a house hold name on Facebook. Born 4 INK was featured on Channel 12 news for it's "Toys 4 Tats" event in December of 2012 & aired 2 commercial spots during the 2012 VMA's on MTV. With a staff of experienced artist and the best customer service you'll find anywhere, Born 4 INK has made it even easier for customers to get tattoos. They now offer in house financing for customers that do not want to spend the cash all at once. They accept credit cards as well. When you walk in the shop, it's clean it's professional and the atmosphere is fun.

There were few seats in the waiting area and all were full. Its recommended to make an appointment especially on the weekend. Tiara was very professional, polite, and clean. She wore gloves and washed her hands every time she touched someone. My appt was at 345pm and I opted to get numbing cream for my little one. The numbing cream has to be applied 30 mins before the piercing so get here early if you want numbing. My little one doesnt like her personal space invaded so the experience was interesting- she hollered like crazy while Tiara drew dots on her ears. My husband held the baby still while Tiara used the piercing gun. The baby didnt even flinch! The price was a little high but so worth it! Highly recommended!

The piercing process was fine and the staff was nice, but this is unacceptable; her (much cheaper) first and second piercings from Claire's lasted for months!!!

Remy even asked if the acrylic I already had on my nails glowed in the dark to ensure that she matched the acrylic colors perfectly . She did that. & the fill-in was only $45 which is less expensive than my actual nail tech (she's worth her pricing tho).

Usually gel manicure costs $35 but they charged me $10 to take my SNS powder off.

Where do I start? As a self-proclaimed "ink junkie", I have high expectations when looking for a tattoo shop.I must say, Born 4 Ink exceeded my expectations. First, how often does a shop owner walk up to you, introduce themselves, and thank you for coming? Right there, I felt more comfortable in my first visit than at my (formally) regular shop. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is comfy (and CLEAN!) & you definitely feel like you're amongst friends. The artist that did my work, Kao, was awesome! He's super friendly (and funny!). He's not one to push his opinions about what you get done (like some artist do), but he will be honest if he thinks something won't look right. He took his time and made sure my piece was prefect. I don't have one bad thing to say about this place. I just wish I found it sooner! If you want work done, done RIGHT, and done by true professionals, this is THE place to go!! Was ready to get my nipples pierced today and went to some local guy but it turned out his spot was some rented room above a day care. Everything about it screamed " leave!". The place wasn't even female friendly , it looked like a guys hang out zone. I saw more magazine cut outs of girls asses than the guys work. ugh! But im glad i found Born 4 Ink. Its clean and when i arrived Hector greeted me and made me feel extremely comfortable. Its a great environment and the people are down to earth. Thinking about going back and getting my first tattoo from them. I definitely recommend going there for all your tattooing or piercing addictions. :) read more

My nose ring got stuck in my nose. I was miserable. I tried removing it myself two nights before with pliers, yes you read that right, pliers. NOTHING WORKED. SAKI, the angel that she is, was super patient and removed that bad boy out. It wasn't an easy process. She was super efficient, careful, patient, and sterilized everything she touched before using it on me. Needless to say, you want a piercing? Go to Saki. She's amazing. She's got you. read more
