Her energy wasn't very inviting at all, which made me a little sad because it's a woman owned business! She rushed the small tattoo I wanted, I was in immense pain during, and then she charged me $150. For the tiniest wrist tattoo. I'm not too upset about the price, but my experience was just not welcoming or happy or special whatsoever. I feel like she just squeezed me in because she needed the extra money. Idk it didn't feel personable. I expected a little more since they had such high reviews. Oh... and my tattoo didn't turn out the best either. When I went to a different shop to get other pieces done, they explained that she should've spaced out or removed some of the lines in my tattoo, because it would merge over time since it was so small. Guess what? They were 1000000% right, all the lines in the outline of my tattoo merged and it looks like it was filled in. So I have to go fix that or just deal with it. :) Not the best experience for me.

You get in, pay, and wait for your turn. The place gets full and can feel overwhelming for some. One of the women calls over to sit and confirm what you put down. For me, She lined them up as best she could and asked for my opinion. I gave her the okay and got them pierced. I felt nervous but comfortable. It was quick, easy, and cheap. I used a mix of salt water for the healing, had a little pain, and barely any swelling. The pain of getting snake bites pierced was a 3 out of 10, but that's considering I have a high pain tolerance and within 4-5 days, the bruising was gone.

I've wanted to since I was 15 but two things were stopping me: insanely strict parents *and* a fear that I would hear the piercing. Yes, I know that's weird. I was heading to the city for some events and started researching where I wanted to go. Redink was the best match for me based on what I researched. When I was ready to make an appointment I used their easy online scheduler and--wouldn't you know it--nothing was available until after I was back home. After an event I was around the corner at my fav spot in the city when the friend I was with said I should just call--lots of places take walk ins later at night or people cancel. I called. They would take me. After another glass of wine (I'm a baby) and then another, we walked over. I was very, very anxious. And of course this is ridiculous for someone my age but whatever. I have a high threshold for pain but I was still freaked out about hearing the process. Spoiler alert: you don't hear it. After picking out a piece of jewelry (and appreciating insight from the staff--I have sensitive skin) I laid back and it was time. It hurt like a bitch but what do you expect when someone is sticking a needle through your nose? What matters is that I felt safe, everything was clean and hygienic and it healed CRAZY fast. The staff was really nice and the space is cool. I have tattoos and would absolutely get more here. I'd also get pierced here again if I decided to pierce anything else. Directions for aftercare were provided and easy to follow. I can't get over how quick and easy the healing was. I was sore and red for a few days but never had the bump most people get. This happened. People can make up their minds and whether it's something they personally are comfortable with, which is the reason for me keeping up the review.

My experience at this shop was amazing. I had taken my son…read morein the spring to get his nose pierced somewhere else and it was not healing properly. He also had developed a piercing bump on the outside and inside of his nose. Unsure what to do, we went to see Peter for some help. His calm demeanor and wealth of knowledge helped us tremendously! Peter treated my son's nose and changed the jewelry. He even took the time to explain that we should slightly change the angle of the piercing for a better looking piercing in the future and more optimal healing g experience. He drained both bumps on the spot! We left feeling so much better and the piercing was on its way to better healing. He was quite clear in his healing instructions which we followed to a tee. My son's nose looks a million times better and feels a million times better. We still have healing in front of us but with Peter's support, there was night to day improvement in just 10 days.
