My experience at this shop was amazing. I had taken my son in the spring to get his nose pierced somewhere else and it was not healing properly. He also had developed a piercing bump on the outside and inside of his nose. Unsure what to do, we went to see Peter for some help. His calm demeanor and wealth of knowledge helped us tremendously! Peter treated my son's nose and changed the jewelry. He even took the time to explain that we should slightly change the angle of the piercing for a better looking piercing in the future and more optimal healing g experience. He drained both bumps on the spot! We left feeling so much better and the piercing was on its way to better healing. He was quite clear in his healing instructions which we followed to a tee. My son's nose looks a million times better and feels a million times better. We still have healing in front of us but with Peter's support, there was night to day improvement in just 10 days. Placed my cartilage piercing in a bad spot and a bad angle for healing and needed to get it removed. What a bunch of absolute jokers.

Usually, I'd attempt to go to a mall piercing kiosk for this but I'm happy I came to a professional! First, I saw this shop as the first on Google. I messaged the shop on Instagram and was spoken too immediately. Listen.. messaging may be slow but it's because you're working with the best so they are trying to get in contact with everyone while taking walk ins. Turns out Peter was assisting me via phone. He asked to see my nostrils at a very awkward angle but it was so he could get an idea of what he's working with. Once he saw, I made an appointment. Now I am at the shop, it's cute, CLEANNNNNNN and comfortable! I met Peter Pan who was very personable and explained to me what he was doing and showed me everything. Process was less than 10 minutes. I don't know if he's just that quick or because I wasn't panicked? Either way he made it quick! I definitely would never come here for a piercing again. I went to get my navel ring re-inserted and bought a piece from this store. They claimed it was a pure metal, but it was definitely an alloy that contained nickel. It irritated my belly button so much and did not heal for months. When I messaged them on Instagram, they blamed it on my cleaning methods; which is pretty dumb because I've had this piercing for a long time before. They lied about the materiality of their piece and asked to see photos of what I was using to clean my piercing. I went to a much, much better place in Brooklyn after months of having this cheap piece of jewelry in. They immediately said that my piercing irritation was due to the metal, and that the jewelry they sold me was garbage. Since I've had it removed and replaced with an actual titanium piece I've had no navel pain and my navel is actually healing. read more

This place is CASH ONLY! I've gotten 6 piercings here last year; tragus, conch, forward & back helix, and industrial. The piercer is friendly, sanitary, & informative. The owner is also very friendly. I've also bought some earrings from here. Apparently, the earrings are all or mostly made from surgical steel, so they cost a bit. They also give you a card where they stamp how many piercings you got, I think the 7th is free. (It might be the 5th or 6th, can't remember) They also have this screen thing if you want to get piercings or tattoos done privately. I've had to close both my forward & back helix because of constant keloids. My industrial kept getting keloids for a bit more than a year and it gave me the most trouble out of all of my piercings. A few weeks after I got my industrial, it got really swollen, red, and the bar dug into my raw skin & it was a painful mess. When I went back to this place, the piercer assured me that the swelling would go down & the redness would subside. I just had to wait it out as the piercing was new. At least it wasn't infected like I thought it was. The owner gave me this powder which is supposed to help it heal but my ears just don't heal well. I washed all my piercings with a sea saltwater solution & antibacterial soap like the piercer told me to do for 6 months or more. The only piercings that didn't give me trouble was my tragus & conch. I personally don't recommend getting cartilage piercings as they don't heal well & you might constantly get keloids. I'm in no way blaming this studio, its just my ears. Every ear is different, you might or might not suffer from keloids. The piercings I still have do look great though! read more

Brought my toddler here to get her ears pierced after spending hours researching safe places/tools/techniques/reviews etc. I came across a great post at 5minutesformom.com and went down a trail that led me to a place and technique (needle piercing) that I wouldn't have envisioned for this. When we arrived at this second floor walk up along Roosevelt Avenue, I had good vibes. It's a studio room but on an early Thursday afternoon no one was getting tattoos. I already connected with Patty on the phone so we went straight to picking out the earrings. There were less than a dozen starter earring options which I viewed as a plus (minimal analysis paralysis). My daughter picked out classic sparkly rounds in a gold setting. Banger (I think that was her name) set up her tray, gave my little one lollipops, carefully marked the spots and was patient as my mom and I scrutinized the placement. When we were ready, bingo bango plus a few tears in between, we've got sparkly ears. Really fast piercings. The staff was supportive, professional, patient, chill and kind. Banger and Patty gave us care instructions while my little one danced around, and even helped us bring the stroller down the stairs. My daughter was so happy. Four days later, other than a little blood around one piercing after she slept on that ear the first night, no issues in the healing process at all. Great spot for kid ear piercings! read more

I was so nervous coming in to get my nipples pierced but the environment in the piercing shop is so comfortable, I was able to relax a bit more once I walked in! Peter was super welcoming and a great conversationalist and I asked for some advice for jewelry for a previous piercing and he was really helpful and def knew what he was talking about.The lady that did my piercings was also excellent and told me everything she was doing and showed that all the equipment was sterilized. Considering it was my nipples, I thought I would be uncomfortable but I wasn't at all and she makes sure you're covered the whole time and it's a private area so you're not exposed at all. I got a nose piercing here and it was great! Super fast and transparent with process & pricing. There was a wait so make sure to plan ahead bc it's in high demand. They have a big selection of piercing jewelry at ranging prices. Also, when getting the piercing, my piercer checking in with me the whole time and told me what he was doing. He also explained the placement and we were able to adjust placement based on what I wanted--if you're thinking of ever wearing a hoop, that's def something to note so you will get one that fits well. On a whim, (yes probably not the most well thought out whim,) I decided I wanted my septum pierced. I had my nostril pierced numerous times and just fell in love with the look of the septum. Decided to pick a place near work before I chickened out. Studio Body Art is in an upstairs area facing Roosevelt Ave. It is nothing spectacular but the level of piercer overshadows everything. My piercer was totally professional and I swear the septum piercing was my least painful piercing. He totally got it in the sweet spot as he explain the tiny area is between the cartilage. If you are here on yelp looking for a place to get your child's ear pierced, I'm telling you that this is the place for you! After a ton of research, We chose to come get our 4 month old daughters ears pierced with Peter based off the many praising reviews about his work and he truly lived up to them! Peter is extremely patient and walks you through the entire process multiple times before doing anything. He took his time placing dots on our daughter's ears, adjusting both sides multiple times while making sure to get them in the perfect spot for each ear so that they complement each other and account for future potential growing. Before doing the actual piercing, he practiced with us a couple times to make sure we would have our daughter in the perfect position for him to get the piercing done quick and accurately. He was extremely kind and patient and I will 1000% be recommending him to anyone who needs his services especially with babies/kids, and I plan on coming back to him myself for a piercing of my own. This is by far one of the worst places I've been to in terms of customer service. I entered at exactly 7:10 with my brother in the hopes to get my ears pierced since they've never been pierced before. I came with my own earrings and was told on the phone that they had to see the earrings first because their tools might not work for it. As soon as I enter the door, I'm immediately told to leave the area and to wait outside in the waiting area. Even though I only really came for a question to save my time, I was told to leave. They were tending to other guests so I understood and probably assumed it was due to COVID. Not even 5 minutes later, 3 Hispanic boys walk inside and stood inside the lobby for 25 MINUTES. I was shocked because all I had was a simple question that could have been answered in 2 seconds and I waited 30 whole minutes for the owner to come out and tell me he couldn't do it. 30 minutes if my life I'll never get back and I feel terrible for having to wait while others were taken in after me and treated differently. read more

I understand ur busy doing a tattoo but it's not my fault u have someone there behind the counter who doesn't know a dam thing didn't know where the earrings for the nose were didn't know the prices maybe you ought to hire someone who knows what's going on. They made mention that the piercer was at another location we ask what's the address Jessica seem to get more and more annoyed and just said right there on 82nd and Roosevelt couldn't even give us an exact address or more details as to where to go. Just got my septum piercing today! Boy I was so nervous, I was sweating but the lady was nice she gave me advices and instructions. I signed a waiver and payed her. The other girl who did my piercing was super nice too! She actually cleaned my nose, and looked for the area she was going to insert the needle. I'm not gonna lie it hurt! I tear a lot!!! The pain went away after like 15 minutes, and it's not as what others say that if you touch your nose it will hurt, but it does hurt when you flip it up or try to clean it because the wound still open. She told me it will take about two weeks or a month, it depends on the person. She used new equipment as well and all sterilized. Anyway I had to flip it up just because I work in a school, I was told I could leave it like that for a month and then it will be easier to avoid bad contact. Over all the experience was so nerve wrecking!! But I am happy with my piercing and the people in that shop were really cool. :) read more

I brought my daughter here to get her ears pierced based on the reviews here. The small studio is a second floor walk-up on Roosevelt, right next to the 7 train tracks (not sure how much privacy that affords if you're getting anything more private pierced). The piercer (believe it was Banger) sanitized and cleaned her tray before each piercing and showed that the needle she used was new and sealed. I would not say that she was super informative about what to expect, but really... what is there to say I guess? She proceeded to mark the spot in which she would pierce and I was able to confirm that the location was good (didn't really see the difference in the spot but did realize that earlobes are not necessarily even in size...). My daughter flinched and teared up a bit but no crying! I also got a tragus piercing while I was there and ouch, I forgot piercings stung! It was super quick though. It's now been a little over two weeks and after a little discomfort and itching initially, our piercings have healed nicely. I believe all piercings are $20 each. Their earring choices seem on par with smaller sized shops with less "designer" options. I'm fine with that as I'd rather not pay that premium for the piercing earring. They had clear studs when I was there. read more

Other person I was with also got his ears pierced for the first time and thought it was a great first time experience. Piercer sanitized everything properly between our sessions and then used brand new needles. They have the proper disposal boxes as well for needles. Highly recommend! Was looking to get my nipples pierced in my area and was comparing places in person. There are so many scary looking places in Jackson heights on 2nd floors but this one def wasn't. The piecer and other employees are very friendly, welcoming and patient with you. The piercer was great. She kept me calm with casual talk and best of all She was so damn quick!Yes it hurt but no extra pain like moving the rod around when fastening the balls or anything like that. She was done with each one in a matter of seconds and I only felt pain for those few seconds. It's 2 weeks now and they are healing wonderfully. I do wish though that I would have gotten a little more information like when I can start cleaning just once a day, when I can go to the gym, etc. No biggie though I just searched on the Internet and if you have any questions they are happy to respond. Went to get my 6 year old's ears pierced, and decided on this place, which I'm so glad we did. She had a really wonderful experience, and everyone getting work done even cheered her on. Our piercer, Banger, was very down to earth and kind towards my daughter and put her at ease. She talked her through the process, cleaned her ears, and did the piercings super quick. Though she was very nervous, my daughter did not cry once, and I think it's because she liked the piercer so much and because everyone in the shop encouraged her. The tattoo artist even gave her a little stick on butterfly tattoo afterwards, and two other ladies gave her lollipops. Can't speak for the tattoo work they do, but as far as piercings go....if you're looking to get nipple piercings DO NOT go there! I got them done with Banger about a month ago. Although she was really nice, she does not have experience with nipple piercings. She pierced through the areola, instead of the nipple with a 16 gauge bar (14 gauge is what is normally used), and on top of that they were crooked (she never used a clamp). It's not until I looked up videos on YouTube on nipple piercings that I realized she had not done them correctly. I got them removed and redone a couple weeks later at another place and they look so much better! Please do better research before going to this place. I was mislead by all the great reviews. She may have experience with other types of piercings but with nipples definitely not! read more
