Because of all the hype and great reviews, I decided to give Tastee Sub Shop a try. I got the ham, salami and provolone sub. It was good, but not great. The meat was fresh and tasted good, but nothing spectacular. It also wasn't packed that high with meat. You can see from the pictures that people have posted that the meat parts of the subs are actually pretty thin. I've had much more meaty subs at other sub shops. Given the reviews, I expected spectacular. Instead it was just pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way or wait in the long lines for these subs, since you can get as good or better elsewhere. read more

I'm not that crazy about subs and sandwiches in general but if you want a quick lunch that tastes good, this is the place. They don't have a ton of choices, but the subs they do make are pretty darn good. They have an efficient assembly line so I've never waited very long. They really don't have much seating though so I always take my sub to go. I usually get the turkey sub with everything on it. That's cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and vinegar. You can add hot peppers as well if you want an extra kick. The tuna sub is pretty good too. read more

Holy Cow! Where's the meat? Given the reviews, I expected to enjoy one of the best subs I've ever had. When they handed me the sub, it felt light. When I got home, I couldn't believe how little meat was on it. The layer of ham was only 2 slices! I've never had such a thin sub in my life. It tasted fine, but wasn't filling at all. This place is kind of funny because the staff sometimes is not the most welcoming, but they sure to make some of the best subs around! The prices are very low considering the quantity you get. Puts other sub shops to shame quite honestly. Have gotten lunch for 10+ people on numerous occasions and total bill is usually 50-60.
