Shredded Chicken and mixed cheese Venezuelan arepas
    Daniel P.

I love these guys. Wayne and Maria are awesome. I've been frequenting this food truck for over 4-5 years at the Winter Park Farmers market on Saturdays and will continue. My favorite is the shredded chicken and mixed cheese Venezuelan arepas, with the tequeños. The lines get long with people ordering there brunch specials but I always stick to the wonderful arepas & make sure to request the spicy garlic cilantro sauce.

    Fried Egg Sandwich- Awesome!!

OH-MY-GOD! The Fried Breakfast sandwich was one of the best breakfast sandwich I have ever tasted. I can't wait to go back. Full of flavor and the egg was over-easy, just like I love it. Fairly priced, didn't even pay $10 for it and it was very fulling. Juan had "arepa" with pulled pork and he enjoyed it.

Holy arepa tastiness. I was quite pleased. I approached the window because I was enticed by the aromas of happiness. I inquired what exactly ropa vieja was and was informed that it is a certain way of cooking beef. Satisfied with that answer, I ordered it in an arepa with cheese. I've had an arepa before, but this was glorious. The arepa tasted considerably better than the one I had before, and the beef was phenomenal. Good work Tastebuds!

Nice marketing idea. Have a food truck will cater party. This truck was listed on several Food Truck Bazaars but finally showed up to Fashion Square. Maybe I missed their other grand appearances. The food on this occasion was Latin American flare including quesadillas, ropa vieja con tostones, empanadas, and a farmer's market sandwich. Small manageable menu with items to munch on and still have room to sample another food truck. Their food truck menu points out that they use fresh ingredients from the Winter Park farmers market. I tried the ropa vieja con tostones, which were perfect little bite size plantains, topped with succulent meat and cheese. The plantain had a nice firmness without being hard, perfect and the meat was full of flavors. I also had the empanadas, which were flaky and full of nicely flavored pork, with this rocking cilantro mayo dipping sauce. All items were fresh and flavorful and the truck was spiffy clean. Come out and play more often.

This is one of the better trucks in a sea of subpar food trucks for one good reason: the food didn't make me feel queasy. Yay! I had the Chicken Empanada. $2.50 for one, or $5 for two (obviously). The owner of the truck really tried to sell me on this, but I didn't need two. The empanada was merely a precursor to stuffing my face with more truck food. An appetizer. Duh. It was a really good empanda filled with tender chicken, potatoes and peppers. I could tell it was made fresh and with love. Unlike other truck food (cough cough, Melissa's Chicken and Waffles) it wasn't disgustingly greasy and oily. My friend had the Shrimp Quesadilla. It sounded gross in theory, but there were actually plenty of shrimp on this bad boy. They weren't too fishy and it didn't make my car smell like a wharf on a hot Summer's day. It's hard to bypass this truck with the heavenly smells wafting out of it, but people managed to do so in favor of grosser food trucks. For shame, people. For shame.

Since the first Food Truck Bazaar I attended several years ago Tastebuds has been my favorite truck. Why? Because of the tostones! Seriously, they are food truck perfection. Piled high with shredded beef, a yummy sauce, cilantro, and cheese, these things are the bomb. My whole family loves these tasty little snacks so much that when the kids are all with me we have to order two orders of them. So, can you guess what dish I would recommend you order? As far as food truck logistics go, they aren't bad. There is usually about a five minute wait for food and they call your name to pick up your order from the back of the truck when it is ready.

From the truck's FB page, yesterday's "special" - free-range fried egg, bacon, tomatoes and pesto aioli on ciabatta bread.

Tastebuds still is as awesome as ever. I regretfully hadn't been by very often over the past few months, so I took a long overdue trip to the truck while it was at the Winter Park Farmers Market yesterday. I ordered the "special," which consisted of free-range fried egg, tomatoes, bacon and pesto aioli on ciabatta bread. It was excellent. I highly recommend this food truck to everyone. If possible, try the truck's green sauce, which is available in its original flavor as well as in a spicy one. The spicy one is delicious. The truck usually sells it in containers, so if you like it then you should be able to buy some to take home. It didn't have any or ran out of for-sale containers yesterday, but I'm hoping to buy some next weekend. Really friendly people and excellent food. Still, and probably always will be, five stars.

Menu from Tasty Tuesday -June16 2015

I will recommend. 4 of us went for the first time to Tasty Tuesdays at the Milk District on June16, 2015. It was hard to decide which truck to try first. We liked the friendly gentleman at the truck and the owner, Maria. We tried the chicken arepas, with cheese and tomatoes $8(delicious, sorry, we ate the arepas and the "ropa vieja" tostones $8) without taking a picture. Their garlic sauce is deilcious! We also tried the tequenhos. Service was fast and friendly. Food was hot and delicious, I took 1 star out because I think the prices are a bit high. The Tostones only had 4 and it costed $8. All in all, will recommend for the flavor of the food. YUM!

Good tequeños and tostones but for the price the portions could be a bit larger!

The trucks change out pretty frequently, so check out the participant listing, too!! This is a great way to get a taste of Orlando all in one place. There are about 15 - 20 trucks on average, at each event. Personal faves include La Empanda and pretty much any truck that has sweets. We just tried the Cake truck (I'm drawing a complete blank on the name - I'll circle back with an update on that) and the Hot Fudge Sundae cupcake was ridiculously good! They block off a good section of parking lot for this event, so there is plenty of space to bring folding chairs and a small table (recommend this actually). At the very least, bring some sports chairs with cup holders. The lines can get pretty hefty on some of the days, so try to arrive early and hop in line at your faves to ensure you get what you are looking for to eat. We like to divide and concur. He'll go to one truck and I'll wait at another, and we'll regroup at a chosen place. This works well on busy days. Overall: A A fun event, family / pet friendly, and plenty o' food to nom on!

Friends, this place is proof that compromise can be beautiful. Sweet meets spicy meets (meats?) savory. Every bite felt like someone dared a pitmaster and a pastry chef to create the ultimate brunch, and somehow they pulled it off. The only drawback? Ventilation. It's stuffy inside. Plan on smelling like a smoky glazed donut the rest of the day. PS. If anyone wants to bring this concept to KC, I'd like to be considered an early investor. Or at the very least, a highly enthusiastic taste tester. Holy hell. Brunch of champions.

Parking wasn't an issue either. As I walked in, I was greeted by who seemed to be the owner and a young woman. Very nice, lovely staff. Everyone was so sweet. My only issue was that they didn't have a good portion of their menu ready and it's mostly because they didn't have the gravy for their dishes. The ones we wanted came with gravy and the staff let us know they were behind on making it. So we pivoted and tried their prime rib smash burger but unfortunately that felt a little disappointing. For the price that it was, you'd think that you'd get a decently portioned burger or some sides with it but it was super tiny. And the bun felt like grocery bread, the type you can get for a home bbq. It was still delicious but rather disappointing at the same time. We ended up having to order a third dish just to feel satisfied and at least it was very good. The bowls are worth it, maybe not the burger but the bowls for sure! I also snagged up a donut and truthfully that is one of the best donuts I've ever had. Another downside to this spot and why I didn't give it a 4 star is because how slow the service was. We watched a whole family get up and leave because it was taking so long, I actually felt bad for the staff and owner. The place has great tasting food, just needs a little shaping up. Maybe someone who can run the kitchen as a head chef. Overall, I still recommend the place but just know that you'll be waiting a while and some things may not be available.
