Where do I even start ? I've been going to Taryn Brows for a while now -- about a few times a year & usually get my services from epiphany -- NVR AGAIN. I dont know what happened on this day but she SNATCHED my eyebrows in the worst way possible. l went for a CLEANUP as l usally do - THICK & KEEP THE ARCH -- I didn't think l even had to say that being she's the expert & sees what I'm working with -- also considering this isn't my first time here. I sat down as she took a look at my brows & even said HERSELF -- 'Oh not bad ! just a clean up' so l sat back with ease -- she gets it. I was drifting away when l felt her going back on my brows, going over them & over & l started to feel uneasy because cleanups are usually quick & l wasn't aware how long l drifted off for. When she showed me that mirror HONEY l wanted to run out of there. Then had the audacity to ask -- WOULD YOU LIKE A FILL IN ?! HONEY had l still had my eyebrows this wouldn't be a question. She kept the shape -- but the whole bottom half was snatched, she left residues of hair -- very few where l can still see where my old hair started & one brow (where it starts) was thicker than the other by a little. Although one may say "it's not that bad -- they can be worse -- atleast she kept the shape." That's not my point. Just because the brow is 'decent' doesn't mean it's what I wanted/expected. You see, l was so shocked l ran to the bathroom & took a good look in the mirror to make sure I wasn't exaggerating or being dramatic. But I knew I wasn't. A woman knows her brows & these new ones weren't mine. I was so upset and dissatisfied -- why wouldn't she ask me during the process like -- is this thickness okay? Do you want me to remove more ? I mean, she's done that before-- why would you just reshape the whole shit when you clearly said yourself it was a cleanup-- I couldn't even bother to go back & express that with them because it would've come from an emotional place & upset me even more & I rather react from a logical place. Hence, why I'm here. I know what I had VS what I left with & I dont like it. So all this to say, at my big age, I'm castor oiling my brows & not touching these things for several years as if I were my 16 y o self AGAIN. If this review was based just on brow shaping then I would give it a 4 star; however part of running a business is the overall experience. I made an appointment for 1:20 p.m. I get there at 1:20 and my specialist is still with her previous client. 20 minutes later and I was still waiting. The receptionist only apologized and said she was running late. So I ask what is the point of an appointment? Taryn has very strict policies about cancellations and lateness, yet they can stick to their own appointments. The receptionist offer to move appointment to inconvenient times. I wasted 40 minutes of my time for nothing. They should value their clients' time as much as they value theirs. read more
