I was in with my Sister's most recently , they refused to let us rent 2 range slots, then asked if I was a certified instructor. 30 years in law enforcement, with extensive training not from the Forrest Gump range wrangler they had there. Then refused to sell a gun to my one sister. Who has no legal issues what so ever. Then I decided to purchase it for myself they hinted straw purchase I was looking at them and thought if you seriously decide to accuse or allude the Nra or news media outlets would love the story. Then they boasted about the gomer pyle training classes they offer and pushed that towards my sister's who both have hunters safety course and carry permits . Little to say how the hell does a true legal rights buying person be allowed to purchase and shoot a firearm if this store wants to refuse and push there training courses you must also pay for ? Don't buy ,dont go. Fyi ive hunted for over 44 years and had far more extensive training then any of the gomer pyle squad arrogant clowns there. Don't attempt to allude or accuse a legal gun owner of any illegal actions or slander a person for such actions . Maybe your Money hungry staff can learn actual manners and not push your Gomer pyle training that folks have to pay for and do what your legally bound by federal laws if a person has no criminal record and follows the criteria to legally own a weapon. Stuff your ghetto range and funky punk attitude downstairs gomer pyle clowns. If you need to speak to me figure it out . You only have dozens of comments like these im notifying the NRA of your staffs accusations and actions . FYI SOCIAL MEDIA SHOWS NO MERCY EITHER . NOTHING LIKE SPREADING THE WORD TO 2500 PEOPLE WHO LEGALLY GO TO PLACES TO PRACTICE YOUR RANGE WONT BE ONE AFTER THIS . GOOD DAY F TROOP read more

I've been connected to the firearms industry for many years now. I've trained, been to dozens of gun shops/ranges, competed and have met many great individuals in the process. The industry is full of amazing, nice people that want to help you at every turn. Every now and then, I and others I know, run into a shop with an owner that has a serious attitude issue, older men behind the counter that treat you like your an ignorant child and act like they are all knowing, passively putting you down in the process, etc. A place that is easily overpriced to gouge the customer and get this...if you become a member, you get member prices! Well people..their "member prices" are what you should normally be paying, especially for their guns. Its Simple math, but they know the average person doesn't know any better. If you go to shoot at this place, you better hope you don't go on the days a certain middle aged male employee is working, cause the chance of you leaving aggrevated and never wanting to go back are extremely high. When you have an owner like this and a handful of employees that could frustrate a Buddhist monk, it creates a horrible atmosphere. You never want to let the replies to these reviews by the company influence you, it's damage control as they see it. These individuals are going to try and silence the truth about their business out of self preservation and continue to manipulate and take advantage of customers. Plus their "training" is generally stuck back in the 80's and is far from reputable. Is Target World a place like this...? Well you can go and find out or take the extra 5 minutes to go somewhere else..anywhere else really. read more

My wife and I went to this range for the first time today. Excellent staff! Everyone was very friendly and professional. We were made to feel right at home. Since it was our first time shooting at an indoor range, and my wife's very first time shooting, the staff walked us through everything we needed to know, were very patient with us and very helpful. They answered every question we had and never made us feel foolish or like we were a burden. The staff spent time with us, showing us exactly how to shoot the handgun we were renting and instructing us not only on range safety, but also how to use the computerized track system and get the most out of our shooting experience. The range itself was great. It was air conditioned, clean, and the track system was easy to use. And while we had zero problems, I knew that should we have even the slightest concern or problem that I could call on a staff member and receive help immediately in a professional manner. For a first time experience, my wife and I could not have asked for better. So if you are looking for a quality range this is where you need to go. Very beginner friendly and highly recommended. read more

Wanted to take my Son,10 and Daughter,15 to the range to shoot today. I was informed by the People at Target World Inc. that my son was not old enough to shoot. My Son has been shooting since the age of 4. He has held a PA Mentor permit for the past 4 years and hunts Squirrel, Turkey and Deer in PA. He is taking the NJ hunters Education test this year, as you can hunt in the State of NJ at age 10. We live in Jamison, PA and I pass this range Daily on my way to work, so wanted to give it a try. We went to Clayton's Hunting and Fishing on RT 611, where my Son and daughter have been welcome at the Shooting range for the past 3 years. We also shoot at Wicen's shooting range, Furlong, PA, where my Son and daughter are NRA range Certified with Handgun's, Rifle's and Shotguns. We also Hunt and Shoot Trap at M and M Shooting Preserve in Pennsville, NJ. I have heard many bad stories about Target World. I now know why.I Guess the People at Target World Inc. Know better. I will put my Son and Daughters shooting Skills up against the People at Target World Inc any day. Stay Away form this Place. Scott D. Schubert NRA LIFE MEMBER for 50 Years. read more

first, my guy was super rude. I am no expert; I've shot my dad's hand guns hundreds of times but I did not want to come off as some jack ass exert gun guy (because I am not and i imagine they get lots of customers like that. i have shot handguns hundreds of times but have never used a shotgun and was interested in purchasing my first shot gun. I was denied being sold the gun because i was required to take a 100 $ class before he would sell me the gun. What kind of business is this? is it ran by left leaning democrats? so moral of story, if you are interested in purchasing a firearm, i highly recommend you spend your money at a location that isn't ran by salespeople who act like they are from some liberal cesspool. My company of about 200 employees, many are interested in purchasing their first firearm ( i am a weird prepper and so have convinced many to purchase a firearm). I let them know to never go to this store. read more

12/30/2015. The new range is amazing. Everything in the range is now state of the art. The ventilation system is excellent, the sound dampening system is amazing, and the electronic controls for the target system are second to none. You can now send the target out to an specific distance (up to 25 yards). Each target holder has it's own light. You can now shoot major calibers (30-30/.308) with the new backstop; anything up to 3600 fps. The range will be open to the public on January 4, 2016. Until then they are in a soft open mode open only to current members; this is the "problem" Jason S. experienced. They also have the most friendly and helpful staff of any local range or store. The range staff are watchful, but not on top of you (unless necessary due to your unsafe behavior). I have always had a great experience at Target World. read more

don't let the Trump tee shirts and signs fool you. The trump store in front is just that - a front. these people have bought into every bit of the pennsylvania blue state / nanny state nonsense. If you go there expecting to use the indoor range make sure you know the secret handshake, secret passwords, and arcane rules they've made up to allow you permission. One false move and they'll blame "the insurance man" and give you the bums rush to the door. Mind you, you can go upstairs and buy any gun you like - the second amendment and the profit motive protects that right - but if you expect to shoot it downstairs at the indoor range they will find any reason to tell you to pound sand. While I was there every person who tried to use the range was kicked out, and all for a different unintelligible and arbitrary reason. read more

I have taken several classes and had a number of private lessons with Shannon over this past year. I am consistently pleased with the level of service provided each and every time by the staff overseeing the range and assisting with rentals. Of course, I think that Shannon is an awesome instructor and I have worked with Dan a couple times in classes- Again, awesome. In this most recent class I also had the pleasure of working with John (Pope). John was patient and steady- provided extremely helpful tips and 'chants' for me to repeat over and over as I shoot which I find helped me settle. Kevin also assisted with this evenings class and although he did not work directly with me, he did offer some assistance with a bit of a gun issue I had (thank you Kevin!) and was his usual helpful and pleasant self. read more

I've been to Target World a few times now and every time I go in I've had the privilege of dealing with the knowledgeable people that make up the staff (I can't remember all their names). I recently choose them as my FFL for an online purchase and Pat was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I was somewhat green to firearms and he walked me through all the pertinent information and I never felt like a bother or I was being talked down to. He was very patient and seemed just as excited as I was about my new purchase. I've been to other places *cough* Clayton's *cough* and always left disappointed by the rudeness I had to put up with. I always felt like I was inconveniencing the owner of that place. Go to Target World and seek out Pat or Kurt for quality customer service! Thanks guys! read more

Target World's new range is the most state of the art facility in the tri-state area! They have air conditioning/heat for whatever the weather brings. They're staff is professional and willing to help each and every customer whether they are new or experienced shooters. The three Instructors that they have available for lessons are experienced and provide an enjoyable learning experience for shooters of all ages, genders, and experience levels. The gun store upstairs has the largest selection that I've seen, beats anyone else in the area. They are a CLASS 3 DEALER and sell Suppressors along with SBR's. Very knowledgeable staff and their discounts even apply to the items that you order in through them! I would recommend Target World to all my friends and shooters of all experience levels. read more

My sister, two nieces and I booked a private safety class with Shannon on Sunday, 7/22/2018. As beginners, we were interested in learning how to handle and shoot a gun safely. Each of us had high anxiety levels but Shannon put us at ease from the very beginning. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, understanding and a very patient teacher. During the two hour class he explained safety steps, taught us to check and load a gun and gave us one-on-one shooting instruction. By the conclusion of the class we all felt comfortable holding a gun and confident we could defend ourselves if an opportunity arose. We highly recommend Target World and Shannon! read more

I just took the Introduction to Knife class with Shannon and Dan, It was excellent!!! If you don't know what to get your wife, girlfriend or significant other for Mother's Day, this class is a winner. All the men out there, this class would be great for you too. I would encourage everyone to take this class - the class left me wanting more. Thank you Target World for offering the community a variety of classes and educational opportunities. Shannon and Dan thank you for making the class informative, fun, and providing a comfortable environment and atmosphere for learning how to take care of yourself. read more

Just completed a Beginner Handgun class yesterday, I/25/2019. Although I have had some experience -- the class was very informative and the instructors John and Dan, treated all in the class with respect and answered all of our questions honestly. On the range, safety was the #1 issue making the experience very enjoyable. We were given plenty of time to practice and learn just how a pistol is to be handled and fired. I don't think I will ever forget --"front site", "front site" !!!!!!!!! Looking forward to coming back on my own to get comfortable with my handgun. Maggie Tiller read more

My wife and I decided to learn the basics of firearms and take our first lesson in shooting. Not knowing what to expect...Target World and our instructor John Pope put us at ease and made our first experience....safe, fun and informative. We enjoyed it so much that we have our second lesson already planned. We are hooked and look forward to developing our skills in the coming months. I would highly recommend Target World, especially if this is your first time. JOHN was great and removed all anxiety and intimidation we had walking through the front door! read more

I went in to purchase my first rifle or shotgun. Guy (buzz cut) was as cocky as hell...not surprising. Prob compensating for something, meanwhile his bench is prob below 135 I had many questions and when I made my choice he denied to sell it to me and said I had to take a 100$ class. Since we don't live in communist China, and I don't really remember that part of the second amendment (right to bare arms but only after you take a training class) I highly recommend you don't go here. Unless you are a fan of communist China. Who am I to judge. read more

Target world is great I had been wanting to purchase a specific gun for years and finally decided to break down and buy it and after searching for months for a reasonable price I came across their shop online and I was happy with the price and even more happy with the condition of it and the service. I'm about to make another purchase and driving almost an hour to make my purchase there aside from their price being one of the best yet again also for the service I received. I highly recommend it. And you can check out the gold Thompson on display read more

This is a top of the line range and a great store for firearms. I purchased my first handgun from this location from a gentlemen who has since passed. He was patient with me and redirected me to a Ruger GP100. It was his wisdom combined with my limited knowledge and experience that led him to make that recommendation. I have purchased several additional guns from Target World and will be purchasing my next one from them. I would highly recommend this business to anyone who would ask. I would also be skeptical of the few negative reviews. read more

First time at Target world and it was a blast! The folks working there are friendly, informative and safety conscious. I appreciated Chris O. and his expertise. Because of my experience today I decided to become a member at Target World. It's been a long time since I've been at the range so it was important that I found a place where they had professional range masters like Chris O. and safety was top of mind. Ladies, if you're looking for a place to practice give it a try. I was treated with respect and never felt out of place. read more

Great place for all levels of shooters to go. A combination of the RO's always watching the range and the safety rules makes everyone that I bring feel safe. The new range is top notch, can't wait to shoot here when the AC is on. It's also nice to finally be able to shoot my rifles here. All three of the instructors are great and I recommend them to all of my family and friends. Rich from the sales floor is like a walking encyclopedia when it comes to firearms, which helps with their large selection of new and used firearms. read more
