I recently had a frustrating experience at your store. There were multiple employees working in the exchange/returns area and at self-checkout, but only one person available at the main checkout lane, where the line was very long. I asked if I could be helped at self-checkout and was told I had to use the main checkout lane. I then went to the exchange/returns counter to see if they could assist, but was again told no and directed back to the same long line. This was confusing, especially since I've been helped at both self-checkout and the exchange counter in the past. I understand that there are policies in place, but the current setup doesn't seem efficient or customer-focused. It would make more sense to allocate staff where they're most needed, especially during busy times, to better serve customers and reduce long wait times. Because of this experience, it honestly feels more convenient to shop online rather than deal with in-store inefficiencies. read more

Typical target, only 2 cashiers that are open with a loooong line. Self service part aren't helping as half of the stations aren't available. Reason to come back is less teenagers ( almost none ) that are running wild around the isles and causing nuisance. Also some employees are very kind and nice. read more

I had such a great experience thanks to Omar !! He was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to help me. He took the time to bag a few of my items for me, showed me exactly where to find the product I was looking for, and even helped me understand a situation I was confused about. What really stood out was how friendly and genuine he was.. he made small talk about Pokémon cards after I mentioned my nephew loves them, and even explained which ones would be a good choice to buy. It honestly made my day to be greeted by such a polite and helpful young man instead of someone grumpy or dismissive. Omar truly represents excellent customer service and deserves recognition and honestly, a raise too! read more

Service sucks. To many security guards walking around the store following customers around like your in prison. Your afraid to even move with so many guards watching you. This store isn't in the slums. It's located in a very pristiougis high rent area. Store is a mess. Bathrooms urinals haven't worked in over a week. Check out is very slow. Don't shop here anymore. I have three Targets about equal distance from me and this one is the cleanest, better pricing (than the Westlake store) and most size selections. There is a Starbucks and that's a good treat! Even in the late evenings before Christmas the employees are helpful and friendly. The last size I needed was on a mannequin and I flagged someone down to help. They immediately radioed for the specific person for the section and waited with me to make sure they got there even when I said they didn't have to. This location has been here for as long as I can remember, but it has definitely been very well maintained over the years. It has had its share of remodels and face lifts, but as old as it is, it still looks like a brand new store. The fact that you can get most of your household needs, including most of the groceries you'd get at your traditional grocery store is a great reason to shop this location. The store itself is very clean, well organized and fully stocked throughout the year. I always enjoy coming here during the holidays to do any last minute shopping. With times changing during the Pandemic and the way people shop in general, Target as a company has also adjusted to those new shopping behaviors. With the implementation of curbside pick up, online returns and in-store pick ups, Target is constantly improving the ways for its customers to shop the way they feel most comfortable. What keeps me coming back to Target is the bright white, shiny floors! It gives a refreshing and clean environment and pleasant for shopping. Most Target stores have the same consistency of cleanliness and organization, this store is no different. I went to the store for a specific item that seemed to be out of stock. I've noticed that some products are sparse these days... can't argue with supply chain issues, but it's disappointing to see bare shelves. read more

Embarrassing that you can't even hire competent or hygienic employees for the customer service desk. This Target sucks so badly, I couldn't even complete a simple return at this location. Between there being no cell service in the store, and the employees who hate the customers, it's pointless to visit this location. I went to make a return on sports cards that I I purchased online and the workers at the customer service desk told me they don't take sports cards back which isn't true. The online item clearly says I am allowed to return in the store. The worker told me that this is the policy throughout all targets and even when I showed him the barcode on my phone he said that doesn't mean anything. He said "it's like if you paid with cash, there's also a barcode." I don't even know what that means. I contacted target online and spoke to a manager and they told me that I am allowed to return the item and gave me the written policy on the terms which my item was eligible for return. I hope this Target updates it's workers on what is and isn't allowed so they don't waste my time again. But it's not a great look(or feeling) when the elderly white woman working customer service in the self service area goes out of her way to ask 4 different white customers if they'd like a bag, but intentionally passes over/blatantly ignores the one black customer in the same area. My daughter and I decided to go to this Target on Sunday at 7 am when they opened as we had a busy day planned. I could not believe the disarray of the clothing sections. Every step there was more mess than the prior area. What did the overnight staff do? NOTHING! We gave up looking for items we needed as you could not sort through the piles of unfolded clothes or racks of clothing. It will not even let me post all of my photos. This Target was a mess!!! Someone needs to have their staff learn to fold clothes and clean up. read more

I actually think this is one of the very first Target stores that I ever shopped at. Kudos to this location and the team that works here. They made a great impression and I still prefer Target to this day. This particular store is exceptionally well ran and taken care of. Overall level of cleanliness set the bar high. Aisles are kept clean and there isn't random inventory blocking you progress as you go from aisle to aisle. Staff are all so friendly here as well. They actually don't seem to mind helping out if you need something. Shelves are always stocked, you don't have to go hunting for stuff. Prices tend to be comparable to Walmart, but there are some items that they are more expensive. They do have good sales that run weekly - starting on Sunday and running through Saturday. Check out the Target app for more good deals also. This is a great location and I'd shop here again. read more

I had to make a quick return and Shelly entertained my kiddos during the transaction and even gave them Target stickers. My little boy is obsessed with stickers so this was perfect! I just had the most uncomfortable experience at this Target today. This morning around 10:30AM, I decided to head down to my local Target. Since this location is only 8-10 minutes away from my home. I love this Target and have never had any issues, BUT, I have heard and seen a few things on Social Media about Scouters / Predators in this store. As I arrived to Target and started walking up to the entrance, I noticed a white male standing outside of the entrance doors on the left side of the Target. I noticed a Man and Woman passing by him and handing him, what it looked like to be, money. This Man did not look homeless, but you could tell he may have been on something as he was acting " strange" and pacing back and forth. As I continued to walk up to the front of Target to enter, I noticed two male teens walk in front of me to go inside of the Target. The Man did not stop them nor did he say anything as they passed by. BUT, when I was arriving to the entrance, the Man looked at me, and probably noticed I was a female all alone, and he approached me and said " Excuse me, I seem to be lost. May I borrow your phone?" I looked at him and immediately said " NO!". This interaction made me very uncomfortable, as he had only stopped myself to ask that question. This Man did not try to stop and ask this question to the two male teens who walked in before me, nor the Man and Woman who gave him money. I ended up staying in the Target a little bit longer than I wanted to, as I felt very uncomfortable being a woman alone. Luckily, I always carry my pocket knife and pepper spray on hand. I went to the Returns Counter, returned an item, and also told the young man working about the incident. He had mentioned that this man has done this before, and he notice that the man tries to stop women to help him. IF THIS IS TRUE, WHY ARE THE COPS NOT BEING CALLED ?! I understand they may not be able to do anything, since the man isn't causing any harm ( yet ) , but as a woman shopping alone, we shouldn't have to worry about things such as this at our local stores! A solid four stars for what they offer but customer service is lacking. The store is mostly clean but can be very disorganized and the paging system, at the end of the aisles, when you need an employee doesn't seem to be something this store takes seriously. I've found myself wandering on several occasions looking for an employee. I love the drive up service but that too can be lacking. Today I went into the store and found items on the shelf that drive up cancelled as "unable to fulfill." Either they couldn't find them (store disorganized) or didn't try hard. Either way the service is consistently lacking but I find it hard to give up my target. We even have visited the optical location here (I'll review that later) and the Starbucks inside. Overall it's a "recommends with reservations" from this target shopper. read more

I grew up going to the Target for everything school project related, soccer game needs, swim suits, dollar section crafts, purchasing my first mascara with my babysitting money, and so on.. Whenever I'm back in town I like to stop by and see what the selection is like and how it's being run. Lately, I've been a little saddened by the changes they've made. The staff have always been so kind and helpful and I have zero complaints there! What used to be the "Dollar Section," however, is now anywhere from $1 to $10 for certain items, with majority being at at least $3. It also used to be aisles long with endless stock of fun, trending goods, but now is one L-Shaped section with a couple tiny tiers in the middle. Was not happy to see that! The Women's section seemed to expand and push the Juniors selection almost out of business. The make-up section is always consistently growing for whatever reason, and the cards gets smaller and smaller. Most recently it seems that they expanded their wine and adult beverages selections making a massive section in the back right of the store. Seems to have good prices on quality wines too! The parking here can get wild but there's ton of options as long as you don't mind walking. It's definitely not my favorite Target ever, especially for clothes and dollar section goods, but it does the job for random necessities for kids and family. Oh and there's a food court & Starbucks in case you're on the go and want to load up with popcorn, pretzels, soda, or sugar coffee on your way out! read more

All that said, I go, I shop, and I shop some more.  Pretty much, I buy everything I possibly can from Target. The good: ======== *  Returns: If you have a return, the line always moves quick, as you can count on 1-3 checkers.  Pretty lenient policy, I like that. *  Selection / Prices: The selection of goods is plentiful, and at lower than normal prices.  I am able to find any food products, home goods, men's clothing -- and, hair products -- c'mon, I don't look this way for nothing. The not-so-good: ============= * Parking: you can find, but it narrow and deep so you often have to walk fairly far. *  Sometimes hard to find help if you need it, so it's near impossible to ask anyone a question.  Try scouring for assistance upto 6 aisles over.  Look for red attire.  I suppose this is the price paid for keeping prices so low. *  Snack/food bar: fair items and a fair price, pizza, pasta, etc. The bad: ======= Nada. read more

Friday, December 3, 2021 (5:40pm- 5:45pm) I'm a caregiver and my 85-year old patient is a frequent customer of this store. His wife orders stuff from there all of the time. 2 days ago, I went there and one order was ready and one order was canceled. Target said the time to pick it up was over the limit, so they put all of the items back on the shelf. I originally gave Target the benefit of the doubt until today. Once again, my patient had a few orders to pick up and that worked out okay today. However, my patient has an ingrown toenail and desperately needed help to find Epson's salt. He asked one guy and he said aisle A68. He asked another guy for confirmation and he said A68 in the beauty section against the wall (okay getting warmer). We get to A65 and cannot find A68 for the life of us. We asked another guy at 5:40pm (young stalky guy between 18-22) and he said he was "off the clock" and asked us to ask someone else. Just around the corner his coworker (a young redheaded girl with glasses also between 18-22) seemed to be on her way out and we asked her for help and she said "Sorry I'm off the clock." So I said "I just want to know where A68 is!" and proceeds to try to find someone else to help us. I'm 45 years old, but I remember my experience working at Office Depot when I was 21. I may have been "off the clock", but I still helped my customers if they needed it! read more

Ok so first things first I do a LOT of shopping here. Always come here for pick up/in store shopping. I'm typically treated great and hardly have complaints. Tonight however I have an issue. I have a business trip out to the desert coming up tomorrow. Needed some drinks for the road and I ordered through the app for Drive Up. No big deal. But with it being so late I called to make sure I could pick things up tonight. This is where it went wrong. First time I called I'm waiting for aprox 8 minutes. No answer. I clicked the appropriate numbers for guest service. Ringing and ringing then the call disconnects. Ok? Weird. Second time I call. Only waiting aprox 4 minutes. Great. Got a woman saying she can check it out for me see if the order will be ready or not. Puts me on hold for aprox 7 minutes with no person picking up to give me an update. The call disconnects again. Now I'm getting a little annoyed but I try again. Once again on hold for about 4 minutes before the same (?) woman answers. (Think her name is Jenny?) I tell her not to transfer or disconnect or anything cause this is the 3rd time I've called and I just want to see if my drinks can be ready to pick up tonight. No big deal! Just check the system please! She tells me she's gonna personally check the desk and talk to them directly. Great. Now we can get somewhere. Puts me on hold but only for a minute before she tells me the guy is busy up front and she's in the back. Tell her I totally get it. I just wanted to see if they even had it or if she could give me a guess on a time when it would be ready. Not a problem if it's not tonight I can swing by tomorrow but it'd be better tonight. She asked for my order number. She didn't have it. We double checked the store address and they don't have my order. Ok fine I'll deal with it in the morning before my trip. I tell her thank you. Now this whole time I'm organizing paperwork for my meeting and my phone is on speaker. I'm thinking she'll hang up and that's it. Nope. I hear her talking to coworkers bad mouthing me saying I'm whiny and mocking my very simple and basic request. I say hello into the phone twice and no answer. Her phone is still on and she's talking crap about me because I placed an order tonight and want it tonight. That is not acceptable behavior! It shouldn't matter how I acted (I think I was fairly calm) and if they choose to talk bad about a customer do it but make sure the phone is off! Now I have to sit here and wonder if she lied about having my order or not. I have to ask myself if she valued me as a customer asking for clarification. I have to wonder if they plan to cancel my order and keep my money. She said she was in HR and I think that is straight up unprofessional and a bad sign of how management is there. I give 2 stars because every other time I've been there and spoken with a team member they are fantastic but Jenny in HR? I think you need a different career if you're going to bad mouth customers where they can hear you. read more

This is a pretty conveniently located Target in Newbury Park. It's right off Highway 101 and the parking lot is fairly easy to navigate, though usually busy. I stopped in here to do some Christmas shopping and found what I was looking for. The store was clean and well organized and they had a lot of good holiday stuff. I ended up buying tons of snacks and candy I hadn't expected to, just because it all looked so good! Checkout was relatively fast and painless. They have public restrooms and have fast food and a Starbucks inside. read more

Every time I go, he is always frustrated and seems to take his anger out on the costumers. Who doesn't love Target? We come here at least once a week, it's convenient shopping with little ones in tow, especially. Customer service is hit and miss. I've had more good experiences than not. There's 2 women that are always grouchy, but everyone else has been very nice and helpful. My kiddo usually wants a pretzel but they are out of baked Pretzels more than half the of the time. (1 piece) of Free fruit for kids (under 10) is a nice touch at their mini "food court", there's usually cutie oranges and bananas. Like most Target's nowadays Starbucks is sold here. read more

I was having an issue with my new redcard which I have used before and It caused me a bit of anxiety as I hate holding up a checkout line. If Target didn't upgrade my card I'm sure it wouldn't have happened. Anyway, the managers were so kind in helping me and made sure I had help out to my car. It has been awhile since I've been here because of health issues. Also the Starbucks in this store has amazing employees, I needed a cold drink and I got one fast. Not thrilled with this Target. I went to buy some gifts from a baby registry this weekend. I attempted to print the registry, but the printer was almost entirely out of ink so it was totally unreadable. It just smudged up the papers and didn't even print a proper barcode for the cashier to scan. Really just wasting paper. There were options to text or email the registry to my phone. I tried both, and neither worked. I kept getting an error message on the store iPad. Frustrating. Target usually make returns simple, but I had a horrible experience the other day. Target often has promotion on baby products like diapers, wipes, etc. They were running an especially good deal - spend $100 on baby items, and get a $25 gift card. I have two kids, so it's easy to grab pull-ups, diapers, and wipes, and get up to $100. I grabbed a few things and headed to the register. It was December, so the holiday rush was on, and there were some newer cashiers. I'm patient, no big deal. But as I left the check out, I thought the total seemed kind of high so I scanned my receipt and realized that I'd been charged for an extra box of pull-ups. I asked the cashier if he could correct the mistake or if it would be simpler to walk over to guest services. He suggested I go to guest services. I walked over, and explained that I had just been charged for an extra item by mistake. She did the usual super quick refund, but before I could review, I realized that they refund was not for the full amount of the item - it was discounted because the $25 promotional value had been spread across all of the baby items. Not fair! When I pointed this out, she glared at me, and tried to tell me that because I had the gift card, I was still ahead. She couldn't wrap her head around the idea that $25 off $125 isn't the same as $25 off $100, and that this was their mistake. I didn't buy a bunch of stuff trying to get a free gift card with the intent of returning things and keeping the gift card. Finally, I had to ask if there was a manager that I could speak to. She huffed and glared at me some more, then paged the manager. The manager came over promptly, returned all the items, and re-rang them so that I was charged correctly, which is what the first associate should have done. The one thing she couldn't give me back was the time wasted with her employee. My other complaint about this store is that there are too few cashiers on any given day. This forces people into the self check-out line, but then there is an even longer line for self check-out. For me, the idea of self check-out is that I've just got a couple items, and I'm going to breeze through that line and be on my way. Instead, it's the longest line in the store. Also, the two rows of registers is just a confusing setup. It's difficult to get up to the front registers. Overall, the store is like any other Target - same selection, not better or worse. There's nothing really great. They just have some genius corporate buyers who select cute, inexpensive items that helpless shoppers cannot resist. read more

All I wanted was an effing Roku. Tried calling this stores dept. No answer, just rang and rang. Used the target app, app was useful and told me they had it "InStock". So I got excited, got my mask and my hand sanitizer and decided to brave the craziness of the outside world. Drove out to Newbury to find out they had nothing. Only the ultra roku for $100!! I don't want that! That's not what I came in for! Tried to ask if there were any in back, the associate seemed upset that I bothered her very important discussion with her fellow associate about how she wants to replace him cuz he isn't nice enough to her teasing him obviously, but who effing cares!! I wanted my effing roku! She proceeded to give some excuse about how their store is some random central hub for the entire United States of Target and it might be getting shipped to someone's home.... wtf does that have to do with anything?? Ur app said You had it in stock in store... where the eff is it? Then the dude associate decided to chime in saying it takes 24 hrs to update?!?! Gtfoh! Excuses excuses excuses, and bad ones at that. So I drove out there exposed myself to all the idiots breathing all over everything without their masks because Target is too scared to enforce mask wearing; only to find out there was nothing in stock???
