This Target is in a nice part of town but it is the ghetto-est one I've ever been too. They had ZERO shopping carts at the front of the store. The clothing dept looks picked over and messy. Whenever I try to call this specific Target to ask about in-store availability for a product listed online as being in stock (half the time, it's not on the shelves or in the back), I either get pushed to different departments on the phone, sent on a goose chase, or outright hung up on. Just this morning, I was calling to check the availability of a pair of shoes and the apparel phone line rang indefinitely until the line hung up on me. I tried guest services next, twice, and that line didn't even ring before hanging up the call. I love target. You never have to wait in long lines to check out. The customer service is great. Someone is always willing to help you. The stores are always clean and orderly. It's always easy to find your size or what you are looking for. They are up to date with clothing styles. The shoes are cute and comfortable and many different ones to choose from. Not opening all the fitting rooms is ridiculous. I am waiting to spend money in this super disorganized store, make it make sense. They have an entire section of dressing. I gave 1 star for the only employee who was kind and helpful. I wish I could remember her name! To begin - don't shop there after 8p if you hope to try in clothes - we asked to try on clothes and we were told they had no keys to open the doors - "my mangers locked them in hopes that we won't be busy". No one opened the dressing room doors! At check out they only had self check out open - with SIX employees standing watching! So we asked if they couldn't open a couple registers - "no - it's protocol" - "you could've shopped the other 11 hours"... also when lights dimmed to notify it was 10 the employees whooped, clapped and hollered. I ordered online and picked up yesterday, and it was a bad experience. There are two reasons for this initial response: 1. The pick up experience was very poor. The lady who assisted me was very abrupt. There were two counters - one for returns and the other for pickup. This lady was behind the pickup counter and when I asked about pickup she pointed to a red spot which was the line for returns and abruptly told me to stand there rather then tell me that the returns counter was handling the pickup. She then assisted me when it was my turn and then told me to stand at a particular spot till she got my items! 2. I ordered two items and one is broken. My order number is 1068434956855. Very disappointed and now I have to run around to replace this! ---------------------------------------------- Target's response to my concerns was phenomenal and they replaced the broken sponge holder. Target has alwayys had a very nice selection of clothing for children, newborn to teens, but now, their Junior section is really nice! Some of the items looked as though they came from a high end department store without the cost. Personally, I feel Target has one of the best customer service departments. Very organised and quick. They also match competitor coupons if they carry the item and even match Amazon as long as it is sold by Amazon and not a third party. That is pretty nice to know. Here in the past six months or so my wife and I have been struggling even coming to this location. Some examples are as follows: 1. Consistently lacking checkers. 2. Shelves in the food isles are especially messy, and unorganized. 3. The store in general is not very clean. My wife and I are now driving to the Cypress wood location from the Woodlands. Unfortunately this location scores an F as I passed 7 employees that did not greet me or ask me for assistance 2 of which were talking inappropriately about their personal lives. Additionally, environmental awareness scored low as 5 employees were observed on their personal phones (I know the difference between a personal phone and a proxy scanner). Store cleanliness was fair as product boxes littered the aisles in process of being placed on shelves but an obstruction to shoppers. read more

I had to come to this specific Target because every other Target in a 75 mile radius was sold out of the one item I want/needed but this one magically had three left according to their online inventory search you can do on their webpage. It's not like it was even on sale or had recently been featured in an episode of something culturally relevant and important to me like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Rick & (((Morty))). It was just sold out everywhere else because Target enjoys making my life that much more difficult so I have something to complain about in the hashtag #firstWorldProbs. Not every Target is like this, but this is one of the ones that blasts you in the face with that popcorn smell as you walk in. I was momentarily distracted by that because it's so strong you think you should be getting ready to sit down for a film in the theatre because why else would there be that much popcorn smell blasting you in the face? But I powered on to get my thing. What was an odd experience for a Target was being offered a sample of beer (Shiner's cream ale - which is not great for a cream ale bee tee dubs) in the refrigerator aisle by a person who had set up a little kiosk to offer samples to passersby. I am assuming she was there on official Target business and not just cracking open fresh beers for people that looked cool since security did not force her out in the pendency of our brief exchange or while I could still see her from a few rows over in eyeshot. She even asked for my ID which is hilarious because I had a full greybeard going due to the cold weather and I'm well in my 30s if the grey in the beard wasn't convincing enough, but I still obliged because I wanted some of that sweet sweet afternoon beer sampling action. I grabbed my item and headed back to the checkout. The lines were moving super slow. I imagine the cashiers were very recent hires since there seemed to be a lot of different difficulties each of them were having which was slowing things down to a crawl in the checkout aisles. Eventually it was my turn to go and then the leaving Target (the best part of shopping of Target) could finally occur. I rounded them up to three stars for the beer sample in the refrigerator aisle because that has never happened to me in all of my years of shopping at Targets inside the loop - so don't change anything on that front but crack open some better beers next time if you wouldn't mind, girlfriend. read more

Never really been impressed with this location, but it's convenient, so I come. Today, I stop by to pick up one thing.... just one thing. I needed it from here because it was a target specific item. They are remodeling the store, which includes shuffling department locations, and the whole place is a cluster of retail vomit. Whoever was the in charge of this project really missed the mark. Employees seemed just as lost as the patrons and I counted no less than 3 employees tell shoppers how it's been a source of confusion. Apparently there is a dedicated employee to rove the store and tell people where to find what they're looking for. Wouldn't it make more sense to have several employees stationed at the front door to offer that service upon entry. After 20 minutes of searching, I finally found my section and they are either out of stock or do not carry that item anymore. This store is a sh*t show. read more

I'm a long time fan of Target, and all the way back to the days of it's humble Twin Cities beginnings as a division of Dayton Hudson. To this day, both my Mother and I anxiously await the Target insert in each Sunday's newspaper. Unfortunately, my son has also caught the bug, and at Gayle's urging I've cut way back on my "Tarjay" obsession. This Woodlands Target just happens to be a short walk from my Hotel. This is where you'll find me when I'm either bored, or looking to replenish my supply of toothpaste, dental floss, and other travel-related toiletries. The store follows the Corporate pattern, but seems a bit quiet as the Woodlands Mall-related commerce has shifted South. I'm in and out quickly, and before I start thinking too hard about business trip gift for the Kid. Besides, he doesn't need any more Magic Cards or other toy-related means of instant gratification. Honestly, this is one of the worst Target stores I have stepped foot in. Not sure if they are on the verge of closing or just have a horrible time stocking the WHOLE store or just maybe have no stock team at all? I stopped in a month ago to purchase some socks for the my toddler son, to find as usual almost all the sock wall in the infant/toddler boy section barren, empty, zip, zilch. And, lets be completely honest their infant/toddler boy section might as well be obsolete, it is never stocked with anything SOCKS especially. The clearance racks from both genders are always thrown in this section I guess so it doesn't like 100% empty? I get it boys clothes have less selection, but I know damn well there is a "bigger" selection than this Target is displaying. NONE of the fixtures are ever fully stocked, it is quite saddening, for I stopped in today to find the same SOCK problem, we aren't even losing the socks in the dryer we just cant seem to stock them for purchase even! And the shoe department, might as well make it the land of forgotten empty walls and shelves. This is definitely not what I would expect for a Target in this given area, and that's the problem is that this is a convenient stop back but sadly a stop of disappointment. But, Hey! Do you ever want help at a discount store and actually get it? Rare but true! I actually am not a discount store shopper but it seems at times I have to visit a discount store for something. So guess what I have no clue where most of the items I need are. They have a sufficient number of staff roaming around the store to ask where something is. They also have "red" phones throughout the store that the employees can call somebody to ask or find out where a product is. Then I personally was walked over to that section and shown where in the aisle the product I needed was. What great customer service! You really want to hear the shocker the employees actually are trained to know about the products in their section and where to go in the back warehouse to see if there are any left. Example: Very well trained employee... I was looking for a new bbq grill a few months back. The lady employee knew that the bbq grills are usually clearanced mid summer and the new models were rolling out shortly. Who would of guessed that in prime barbecue season that barbecue grills are put on clearance pricing for new models? No wonder I was having trouble trying to find grills with a stainless pilot and grills. I didn't want a full stainless barbecue gas grill because the climate in Texas is brutal on outdoor anything. The female employee new all about every model and if they were going on sale, which one had stainless pilots and grills, not the ones that rust, etc. Plus she seemed to be cross trained in other departments also. The most remarkable trait about this lady was that she was a part-timer!!! In my experience overall in retail the part-timers know the least. I've experienced a surprising share of PT employees that have really been very knowledgeable but it's not the norm! Almost forget to mention a particular younger black girl who was very tech savvy about their smart phones and programs. I really appreciated her knowledge and input on the way to get the best deals bundling phones with my other household items. I haven't spoken to anyone else in the phone section so I can't comment on the other employees. It seems like many, not all, of the employees are crossed trained. This Target seems to hire intelligent, helpful employees. Not sure if that's Target standards or this is just a really good Target. So many more positives about the stores quality which overall seems to be more upscale for a discount store. Plus they have a small grocery store in the back with unique items also. They are open till 11pm most nights. To finish this review with another positive asset, they have a brand new Starbucks which just opened in the last couple weeks :)! Set in a nice strip center with a couple other discount stores, an Academy and a Toys R Us at the opposite end. Large parking lot. read more

Don't waste your time! I tried to order a TV from this store, and the app said it was in stock. I made the purchase, great, chose to pick it up tomorrow. 30 minutes later I get a notification saying it's not actually in stock but I have the option to ship it to me directly. Okay, I tried this option. The app was glitching I thought, it wouldn't let me send the item to my address. I spent 30 minutes with some girl at the store who kept putting me on hold and couldn't figure out why they couldn't ship me the item. She gave me customer service's number after suggesting I drive 40 miles to another store. The girl in the Philippines couldn't figure it out either. WHY WASTE MY TIME WHEN YOU COULD HAVE JUST SAID THE ITEM WAS OUT OF STOCK IN THE FIRST PLACE TARGET. Save yourself the trouble and try Best Buy for electronics. This Target is so organized, I like the stands that they have inside there store, I went there during Christmas and may I say that I was so impressed with the set up that yall had there. So pretty, neat and organized. The employees were really friendly and helpful since I never been here before. I looked around for a starbucks because someone outside said they had one, I was told by a employee that they didn't have one in this store, but turns out they had one next door a little bit of ways.
