We avoided Dicks in California because of the prices, poor service and lack of sporting good items that we actually use. Well, Dicks here in Texas is completely different. Outstanding customer service from the employees and Dicks actually had sporting equipment that we actually use. First off, I needed to have by tennis and racquet ball rackets re-wrapped and the staff was more than happy to assist me with this. It addition to this, they had a really good selection of fishing equipment to choose from which is always a plus for me! Dicks also had a good selection of darts, flights, boards and accessories for me and my wife to choose from. They also had a giant selection of Pickleball paddles and accessories along with a couple of staff members who are very well acquainted with the sport and able to provide some great advice in choosing a set of paddles. We were really impressed with what Dicks had to offer and will definitely be returning when we need to purchase some kayaks.

This location being fairly new gave me the opportunity to look around for 1. my compression socks and 2. for a sale on Golf equipment. The staff was very helpful and provided me with a tape measure and helped me find the right size of the product I was looking for. Perusing around the store, it offered a similar layout to other locations I have been to so nothing new and exciting, but it is great to have access to the store between the city located South and country to the North.

I Needed a shirt for my daughters school event and came by five below as it is close to where I live. As I was browsing through shirts looking for the right shade of blue, I overhear Five BELOW employee walk to an area I had just walked away from. The employee was a young lady maybe 18 or 19 who was on her cell phone talking to another party on speakerphone and very loudly said she couldn't stand when people move clothes and don't fold them and return them to their proper place. It was very obvious she was making this comment in regards to me as I was the only person in the area who was looking at the clothes she was refolding and she was holding the only shirt I touched in her hands as she made the comment to the person she was talking to on the phone. Now I was highly confused as I had only touched one shirt and I semi folded it and put it back. While it wasn't the best folding I can't admit, but I definitely did not just throw the shirt carelessly and I only looked at one shirt. However, once her comments on the call continued, I was very surprised and displeased by the behavior of an employee. It was obvious she was having a bad day and took out her frustration by complaining about customers while on a personal phone call and the situation escalated when I chose to comment on her attitude and rude comments to my partner. She confronted me asking if I wanted to "do something about it", indicating she wanted to have a physical altercation. I hope management does something about this, and fast because this is unacceptable, completely unprofessional and honestly disappointing to have happen in a nicer part of town.
