I don't know about you but sometimes I just shop to quiet my mind. On this visit that was my purpose. I really didn't "need" anything so I lucked out when I found a few of my "favorite things". Nest candle? Yes please! L'Occitane shower gel? Get in my basket! Some sparkly hair accessories? A must have for NYEve! But the clothes selection? Yikes? They looked like a bunch of dirty rags. Honestly the selection was crap. And anything that looked decent was too pricey. So this was disappointing. I did see some All Saints but it was just a ratty old looking boring black top in xxs. The shoes had a better selection, but nothing I had to have for the price. Overall, I've never found any great clothing items, but accessories, homeware and men's dress shoes are about the only things I buy here. Buyyyyyyy bye! read more

The worst part of shopping at any of their locations is the return policy. Thankfully, after purchasing a new pair of shoes and walking in it for couple hours did not feel comfortable. I was told to bring in my receipt, keep tags on shoe in order to return. Rack makes it super hard to return at their stores. read more

There are some nice things here, but don't look for bargains, or deep discounts. This was FEBRUARY and there were a few Christmas items on sale, but they were only at 25% off. I was at the "Clearance" rack, advertised at up to 70% off, and the steepest discount was 25%. And when I was browsing with my husband, OMG, the menswear section looked like it hadn't been straightened out for a long time. The medium sizes were in the small & large sections, and vice-versa. It was very frustrating. I later went to Marshall's and it was much more pleasant, things were neatly displayed. read more

I've have had to make some quick stops here but really wasn't wowed sadly! Some of the clothes remind me quality wise when I would check out a Ross store. They'll get some high end brands which are usually leftovers from Nordstrom or even an Australian brand which I love. Overall though I feel like I'm shopping at an slightly upscale more organized Ross and there are a few gems that must of been over ordered. Otherwise the stock isn't as trendy or new for the season with some exceptions. I just don't want to make a purchase because something is marked down in price. I really want to love it also! Friendly staff when I found one. Big parking lot. Have yet to purchase anything. read more

I was very impressed with this Nordstrom Rack. They have an amazing selection of clothes, accessories, and shoes. The store is perfectly designed and organized, making it easy to shop for what you need. I loved that they had so many sales on opening day. Everything was either on clearance or extremely marked down. The also have a home decor section with beautiful trendy pieces as well as some classic selections. The only thing that I didn't really like was the slim pickings in the plus size section. They do have straight sizes up to L or XL in some pieces, but they do not accommodate girls who have bigger breasts or larger stomachs. I would love to see more of a variety of plus size clothing in the future. read more

This is amazing. I waited so long for this Nordstrom Rack to open. It was really everything I wanted it to be. Pros: Store is super clean, organized, fitting room policy is great (15 items and a ton of rooms). Impressed that they had pretty well stocked clearance and sale sections for their opening. I hope that lasts. Good parking in Portofino. Cons: If I go here as much as I really want to, I'm going to run out of money. I also agree with other reviewers that the men's section could be bigger, but they only have so much space to work with. read more

Used to love shopping here. Was so excited when it first came to the woodlands and have purchased many things from here. This place is literally turning into TJ Max the quality of the close they are selling in the mens department is awful. I keep going back for months thinking bad shipment or that it would chance. It's clearly not. Not coming back any longer. I would think they you would carry the higher ends lines at your woodlands location thank some of your others. read more

I was so looking forward to Nordstrom Rack opening. I love the one by the Galleria. This one is much smaller but still has a lot to offer. I think the best finds are in women's shoes and in purses. There is a large selection of all types of shoes and even a discount Designer Row of shoes. They carry Michael Kors purses, shoes and clothes. The women's clothes area isn't that great. There isn't a large variety or many good finds, but the store only has so much space to offer. I bought shoes online at Nordstrom and was able to return them here which was nice that I didn't have to deal with mall traffic and parking. Overall a good store and will be back over and over again. read more

Buyer Beware! Return Policy stated on receipt and an actual (in-store) return is not the same. Although item is an "eligible return"; unused, unworn, un-altered, with all tags attached, accompanied by the receipt within the 45 days (or 2 days!) of purchase, their response is, "It's at our discretion to refuse or accept a return". That statement itself defines their philosophy on returns, 'refuse' is referenced before 'accept'. I have been a Nordstrom customer since 1986, 32 years, beginning in California, then continuing at the Anchorage, Alaska store for many years, then Dallas & Houston, TX upon their opening, purchasing everything from a $27 lip pencils to (3) $300-$350 first communion dresses to (4) mattress sets, (2) being the Westin Heavenly Bed, in other words, A Life Long Loyal Customer. However, I only began shopping The Rack since it's opening in Portofino. My first return was a $25 home item, I presented item with receipt, was asked if anything was wrong with items and full refund was given, a smooth transaction with pleasant, courteous employees. My second and third return items were also "Return Policy Eligible" home items of $8 and $15. Returns were denied, although I had the receipt, the provided explanation was "it's not listed under your email". The associate began smiling and smirking at another cashier associate then whispering into each other's ear. I responded that an email is not required to purchase goods or to return goods with a receipt. The associate responded with "it's at our discretion". Behavior is that of, not only immaturity, unprofessionalism, and against company policy, it appears to be the point/reward system commonly used in retail. I returned next day only inquiring about their return policy and was given the same, "it's at our discretion" response. I began shopping, choosing several items to purchase I asked cashier associate their return policy, response was, "it's at our discretion", I followed with, "even if it's unworn, undamaged, tags attached, within 30 days (which I was corrected that it is 45 days!) with receipt?" Response was "Yes, it's at our discretion". I then had her cancel all but one item, (a beauty item we are familiar with and have previously purchased) from the sale transaction. I no longer consider Nordstrom Rack a place to shop or spend money. Their items are not necessities, and can be purchased elsewhere. read more

I will never shop at a Nordstrom Rack store or online. I bought a pair of tennis shoes for my daughter to give at Christmas in October. Turned out to fit too small so I needed to return/exchange them right after Christmas. I was told that returns had to be made with 45 day return policy and they can't take back these never-been-worn shoes. They don't have a Christmas return policy that extends the return time even if you speak with a manager. I also called the main office and they confirmed the same lame customer service policy.
