To the parents of special needs children, you should read this. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the manager who was working today, April 28, 2017, who threw my adult, high functioning yet special needs son out of the store. My son had a very embarrassing accident in the restroom today and even though I called to explain that my wife was on her way to rescue our son from and obviously embarrassing situation, the person I spoke to did nothing and 5 to ten minutes afterwards, when some customers complained about the situation in the restroom, instead of being sympathetic or understanding that sometimes accidents happen, the manager decided my son needed to get out and stand in front of the store and wait for his mother. This used to be my favorite Target, but ever since the "remodel" this store has been trashed. The departments look like everything is on clearance since its all mixed up and a jumbled mess. Not to mention when I went into the dressing room, there were so many dust bunnies, they were literally floating around every time I moved. This location is a breeding ground for Covid mutations. Soooo many people not even attempting to wear a mask while employees do nothing about it; not even wearing it as a chin diaper. I even saw people not wearing masks coughing and not even attempting to cover their mouths while in the grocery aisle. I like shopping at Target but when it's time to check out I get irritated when the cashiers keeps asking me if I want a "Red Card". The cards have been around for awhile so if I wanted one I would get it. I don't need to be asked every time I go into Target. It's a big turn off and I have found myself going to Walmart just to avoid being asked. I have also heard management reprimand cashiers if they don't ask which I feel is uncalled for. I think you should change your policy. Maybe have the cashiers wear a button that say " Ask me about the Red Card" that way if someone is interested the cashiers can address it with them instead of annoying those who are not interested. read more

I like this Target, they recently did some construction and added a Starbucks which is awesome. The employees are usually pretty nice and as always they have great popcorn! I'm not too excited about the way they rearranged everything recently, now I'm not sure where everything is.. lol. The last time I was there I was a little disappointed because the kids section was FILTHY, like.. really dirty. And It looked like it had been that way for while. Just going to make this blunt and to the point. Was buying a game at closing and I was 4$ short. I asked if I could go to my car and grab my wallet and I was told by Jared the manager on duty that I could not leave. Because once I left I could not come back in. I understand safety regulations but to deny a customer to grab his wallet for 4 more dollars is un believable. On top of that 2 customers were still shopping so even locking doors while customers are shopping is dangerous as is. Just know that a birthday hitting at midnight was ruined. I would have bought it sooner but work was a priority and with it being inventory night I was staying later. Just tried to go take a 10min break and make someone's night the best. But was denied what I would have seen as going above and beyond. read more

Today while at Target in Santee, CA, one of the things i needed was out of stock. As I went on about my shopping, I noticed Target workers being very friendly & saying hello to the shoppers & asking if they needed any help. It was very nice to see & hear the interaction. I asked about the out of stock item, & was told there were not any in the store (I needed refill cartridges for my razor). So, instead of telling me too bad so sad...the Target manager gave me TWO FULL RAZOR SYSTEMS for the price of 1 refill pack! I was shocked & full of gratitude! The manager asked my name & shook my hand & said it was nice to meet me! He also offered me a Starbucks drink as I left the store! Best trip to Target EVER! Just returned from a shopping trip to the store where I encounter an individual not wearing a mask. After an unsuccessful attempt to convince them they should be considerate of others, especially those vulnerable I contacted an associate who directed me to the manager. The manager informed me people are checked when entering but nothing is said to them after they are in. I've been calling for an hour now. I tried a different department to see if they would pick up and every time they pick up the phone and hang it up. You can at least tell me you're busy and call back later. I was charged twice last night for a box of diapers. I live very far away and was hoping to get a refund over the phone but now I'll have to drive all the way down there to ask about it. I have to pay for the gas to go there to get my money back! Check your receipt before you leave the store is my advice and don't bother trying to get anyone on the phone. Very poor customer service! read more

This is usually one of 2 Target locations I prefer going to for the reason being all about service. For me when I need the help with something, I can always spot an employee who is willing to help and literally walk me to what I'm looking for. Although it can get crowded, service usually remains the same regardless. read more

Beware doing online shopping for groceries. I wasted a very long time only to find out that the refrigerators were full, therefore unable to get pick up or delivery. Also, two items were going to be shipped instead of being in the order. It is a waste of time when Target feels that they can't post a disclaimer before you waste your time on an order. They make it sound so easy with same-day pick up, etc. I also don't want items shipped in my order. read more

We come here often and its seriously one of the best Targets I have ever been to. Its a pretty large store and its never really that crowded. The people that work there are nice and helpful and Target always has good prices. They have awesome prices on DVDs. Where else can you get Rain Man and the original Karate Kid for only 5 bucks each? Very unhappy customer ! I ordered something online, I went to return one of the items today and had a horrible experience. I showed them on the app my purchase, yet they on their end had an issue to see it in their computer. Instead of apologizing for their issue the lady "Susan" told me " I'm doing this as a favor but without swing the receipt on our computer I shouldn't return it so I'll do it just this time". Seriously? So I show proof via the website of my purchase on line and picked up at that store but somehow it's my fault that they have an issue on their end ?? Tonight I was late night shopping for an event the following morning, when I heard a employee named VAL the lead stylist in the womens department saying 'when I tell you to do something you are going to do it' ... 'and your performance is going to be talked about you need to perform better... your attendance is horrible you need to work on your attendance and get to work do you understand?' The poor girl (Frankie) is just crying and crying... then Val went on about 'if your Walky talky doesn't work what's do you do?' In a very condescending way and trying to make Frankie repeat it back to her about asking for help with the Walky talky. As Frankie just stands there tears rolling down her face, I stepped in to let her know she is making all of us shoppers uncomfortable and it was inappropriate to be yellling at a employee about her performance on the floor and Val's replied with 'I'm sorry if this offended you' it didn't offended me... it showed me the lack of leadership, the lack of knowledge to be responsible enough to be a manager over other employees. Could you imagine if Frankie was now supposed to train someone else and used Val's manager skills? What a mess. I wouldn't be surprised if Frankie didn't show up the next day. Doesn't matter if a employee has horrible attendance that is for behind closed doors with a manager with a plan of action not for someone to be littled on the floor in front of everyone. Not only was embarrassed I could only imagine. After all of this I spoke with Katelyn Shaker the floor manager who seemed to smirk and laugh/smile about the situation. I love target. I mean really who doesn't. I love the santee remodel of the store how they added in a Starbucks everything is clean and fresh looking just makes me want to spend more money in the store. My eight year old wanted me to wright this review so her voice is heard. She is extremely sad of the removal of the food court. When I pick her up from school we would go she would get a hot dog, pertezal , pop corn etc. We would walk around the store buy a dollar toy, or a book. How ever now there's no more food . Now we go to Costco after school to get her snack then come to target. She's just sad there no more food court. However we both still love target and spend way to much money at this location. read more

I am a big fan of Target and I Love the selection and customer service. I am use to the Rancho SD store which is a little bigger than this one. Who else stays open late during the holidays and 24 hours on 23rd of December for all of us late shoppers. I gave it 4 stars due to the fact it doesn't carry as much as Rancho San Diego. Today was great! The Starbucks inside was a pleasant experience. There were two baristas working, so the work load seemed more manageable from a customers perspective. This time I could see one barista was in training, and her mentor was very knowledgeable and patient. I had no problem waiting a bit as she was in training for the reason of the mentor. I use to be a walmart girl but I'm liking target more and more. And I realized that compared to walmart, the prices aren't even that much more expensive! I like this location. It's really close to my B/F's house and in the shopping center where the trolley runs through so it's really convenient! Everything is really clean, neat and organized. This is probably the most organized dollar section I've seen! And that is ALWAYS the first place I hit up. I always go here for cake mix and frosting. It's even cheaper that most grocery stores! They have cute stuff, and reasonable prices. I got a pair of flats for $15 and despite that I know they have been there for weeks already, they still had all the sizes I wanted to try! I don't know if it was because the store was closing because it was late but the checkout was really fast! My BF helped me paid for my shoes because I left my wallet and I barely had time to finish reading all the covers of trashy gossip magazines! Definitely my go to place if I need anything!! read more

I am here, often as its very convenient. I know the store well, and I am so pleased that this Target doesn't feel the need to REarrange the whole darn place. Place is spacious and simple. A good layout. The customer service is exemplary. 90% of the time I'm in here I leave feeling good and not like I should have checked a B****. I have returned an item with them looking it up on my debit card that wasn't my red card with quick and painless service. The folks who shop here like to clutter the first cluster of registers, but note, just walk to the second set (just ahead) and you'll wait a lot shorter time or even not at all.. Some people just don't look ahead, like driving. I'll still be coming here as long as I live 10 m down the way. read more

This is my favorite Target, by far. I love the new grocery section, and their prices are pretty great compared to some usual grocers, even if their produce selection is limited. I know that I will always find what I'm looking for here because everything is well stocked and organized. I find myself feeling completely stressed out when I take a trip to Walmart instead of Target because it feels totally unorganized and crowded all of the time. I'm particularly impressed by the service at this Target. Almost every time I've come to Target, I've gone through the check-out process so quickly and effortlessly. And, usually, the employee at the cash register is very friendly and willing to talk to you, which I appreciate. Went there today for cottage cheese and some other stuff. As I was walking around the makeup I watched a lady pick up a bottle of polish paint every nail with a brand new bottle of polish and then put it back on the shelf. I reminded myself never to buy polish from that store. EWE! Then when I finally got in line after this traumatic sight the lines were long. they had a lot of registers going, but because of the religious super bowl holiday going on of course they could not keep up. While waiting in line a cashier came a took the lady behind me (I was next in line) to a newly opened register. Hum, I thought that was rather rude. When I got the the check out the girl was really nice. I want to give her a 4, but because of the rest of the experience I have to say I will have to think twice before I go back there. read more

By far one of the worst Targets I've been to in San Diego. The store was highly unorganized and it seems like they have problems keeping things in stock. I went in with looking for 6 specific things, all in the skincare section and I found nothing! The makeup section was also very poorly stocked. A lot of things were opened by customers and splattered when I went there. And let's not even talk about the shoe section because that was also a disaster. There were shoes all over the aisles and it honestly looked like a kid just had a field day throwing whatever he/she could find on the floor. I did find something very unexpected for $4 (a genuine marble candle holder, in case you were interested in knowing) but other than that I'll stick to the other Target locations in the city. O M goodness! This place has what you need but the customer service is very slow. So slow that snails move faster. The first register I went to took forever to scan items and wasn't able to help the customer fast enough because she was a new team member. Target should've had someone helping her out since she was new (it's common sense) unless you're trying to lose customers. It took so long that I left that line and went to another register. The guy was nice and friendly but moved soooooo s l o w. It's as if that's their goal, to provide the slowest service ever. Definitely not coming to this Target again. read more

Placed a drive up order @2:39pm. It said it would be ready within 2 hours and i was planning on picking it up around 5pm the earliest which is already over the 2 hour time frame. At around 5:20 the order still wasn't ready so I tried to call to get a time estimate or a reason as to why it was taking longer then expected. It rang for about 5 minutes then they picked up the phone and hung it up. I decided to drive there because I needed the items for my workplace otherwise I wouldn't have bothered and when I got there the drive up parking spots were less than half full. I've seen it during busier times so the fact that they were definitely slow made the situation more frustrating. I went to the guest services. When I spoke to someone she basically just said there was nothing she could do and that its actually 2-4 hours but on the app it says "ready within 2 hours". So I had to cancel the order (after 3 hours) and shop in store. Overall just a bad experience because I was hung up on, they were unable to complete the order (6 items and most of them were duplicates) within the expected time frame, and on top of having to cancel the order its going to take a few days for the money to be returned to my card. read more

The Managers at this store work really hard. In college towns of course there are high turn over of personnel, because the trainers are good. They sort our the disciplined from those who can't. The Starbucks workers are imo fabulous compared to the local Starbucks in the Mission Gorge Starbucks. You NEVER get lip service here. They are emotionally efficient. read more
