We stopped by this Target on our way back to camp from Monterey at my son's request, he was hoping to find a specific Hot Wheels car, but unfortunately, we didn't have any luck. This target was large and offered a large selection. Service was ok but not necessarily needed. None of the products were locked behind cabinets like other targets I have been to. This review is for the young African-American girl (long braids, glasses around 5'6) who was working the Christmas section this morning. She witnessed a couple of targets customers leave an item where it doesn't belong. She walked over and scolded them, sighed and yelled at them to put it back where it goes. being that these customers very obviously only spoke Spanish, I'm going to assume that this young African-American female did not and as a fellow Spanish speaker, let me just say I'd hope that she speaks to her grandparents with the same disrespect that she spoke to those people today. Because if that is only to people she others, then shame on her. To the young man up in the front who I asked if there was a manager around thank you for telling me that Ashley would be in at 11. The fact that a store of this size can run with no manager the week of Thanksgiving is absolutely insane to me, Ashley and target and whoever is in charge of Ashley, I hope you do a lot better in the future and I really hope never to see that employee again. read more

I do love the location just in the fact that there are so many other places to go to as you also stop at Target - as far as the actual Target, I still think the Marina location has far more stock in general and usually more plus size clothing in general if that matters to you. Usually go always to self checkout due to some of the older ladies having a bit of attitude. But today I had an issue with a gift card that wasn't letting me put in my target app. It was a gift to my fiancé from his job. I think she was on number 2 cashier. She was older with glasses. I asked her if she could try it since I tried already and was confused as to why it would say try again. She tried didn't work and she printed the inquiry and said zero. I also asked to view the surveillance video because I know for a fact my husband never raised his voice nor said anything that was not true to ASHLEY. ALEX proceeded to tell me that if I wanted to view the surveillance video I had to call the cops and make a police report which I find absolutely ridiculous because he must think we're scared of the police? Anyways we proceeded to leave the store because it was clear that they were not going to hear our side of the story. I decided to call corporate right after that encounter. Which I will say corporate absolutely understating and compassionate with both me and my husband! Corporate made sure we had a way to contact them back for any additional information we needed to give them and let us know they will reach out to us once they investigate the situation. After I spoke with corporate. I called the seaside target to maybe get a chance to speak with a professional manager. WRONG!!!! CATHLEEN answered the phone which then transferred me over to RYAN which was a supervisor, I told her about the incident she then proceeded to tell me that she was going to transfer me over to head security JORDAN. Well let me tell you that he took things to a different level!!!! I spoke with him about the incident. He then proceeded to tell me LIES about the whole incident say that there were other workers who had witnessed the incident and heard my husband cursing which is absolutely not true!!!!!! He then said that he also reviewed the footage and saw the same behavior that ALEX saw. I also expressed hope I felt about that way were were approached that day. He then LIED again and said that ALEX did take us to the side from the beginning. Which is 100% not true because I specifically asked ALEX to go the side instead of causing a scene. He then lied again and said that when my husband was exiting the store he threw up a sign!!!!!!!! Like where do the lies end? I have never experienced the amount of frustration that I experienced with these employees. They LIE for a living to have their way and trespass people.!!!! I did call JORDAN a liar over the phone which he the said "I don't have time to go back and forward with you today" he obviously didn't care about our experience . I then asked him if I was also being trespassed and he replied yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He then asked me for my information (Name and call back number) which I denied to give by saying No thank you! So I decided to hang up on him because of the amount of lies that were being said about my husband.hanging up on him. I was appalled when JORDAN called me back to my personal cell phone number 2 minutes after I hung up on him. Only for him to ask "Hi is this Melisa" he then said I just wanted to make sure our call did not get disconnected and laughed about it when clearly he knows I hung up on him. then asked him if he was trying to harass me by calling me back and letting me know he basically had my information (Name and phone number which I did not give to him) like why even ask for it in the first place? I then proceeded to tell JORDAN I hung up because he said he didn't not hav me time to go back and forward with me and he just hung up on me to call corporate again and tell them about JORDAN calling my personal phone number only to hang up on me. Corporate then filed another report from me. To top it off I records the WHOLE conversation I had since calling the store directly. I have CATHLEEN, RYAN, and JORDAN RECORDED. I would love for corporate to reach out to me so I can turn over all the evidence I have on this horrific experience I had. Not to mention I even had to change my phone number because of the harassment. I have screen shots recordings and my phone company has also documented the reason I had to change my phone number and has since flagged the seaside target phone number because of that!!! I will definitely be taking additional steps to make sure this situation is handled properly and not just read in review that has no importance. I was here yesterday looking for an hdmi cable that supports 4k hdr for my TV after spending most of the day at other stores trying to find the correct one, with no luck I almost gave up and was ready to buy it on Amazon before I decided to come here, I figured it wouldn't hurt. I was hoping to buy an extra wide 6ft cable and surprisingly they had some. All I can say is WOW, I was impressed with the options and eventually picked two monster hdmi cables affer reading so many positive reviews online. Checkout wasn't bad - I used one of the automated checkers since I only had two items, I think it's okay. It's Target. Once you have seen one you have seen them all. The store has been remodeled recently, which is nice. There is a Starbucks inside that is much bigger than before. Everyone at the Starbucks are always friendly. The store is well stocked and clean. The restrooms were in dire need of the remodel and are much nicer now. This Target is usually pretty solid. Sometimes the lines can get very long unfortunately. Overall, they typically have most things in stock and the team members are pretty good. Not an amazing store but totally Shoppable. read more

First off bought a cocktail shaker from here that leaked, and it wasn't just the one it was every cocktail shaker they had, and oh yeah they don't do same day returns so that's three trips to this Target and no cocktails. Also, this place always seems to be packed with kids it's like a playground every time, the checkout lines are always long and last time we were here 3 of the 5 self checkouts were broken. I am a senior living in Monterey, California. I purchased a pair of shoes in he Seaside store and wanted to purchase another pair. I went on line and found them but they were not available for shipment or outdoor pick up. It specified that I needed to pick them up at the San Jose Story Ave Target. I love them so much that I called their store to see if I could prepay the shipping I order to avoid a two hour drive, but that was not possible. I then asked if they could be held for the next two hours so that I wouldn't take the chance of not finding them but I was told that it was not their policy. This particular Target has their "curbside pickup" down! I have yet to find another store that is as organized, fast, and efficient as this one. I've had horrible experiences with Michaels' so called "curbside pickup", and Home Depot keeps you waiting for a long time in your car. I can be in and out of the parking lot with my order (no matter how large) in under 5 minutes! Highly recommend. read more

I went to this target one evening not to long ago before they closed and was trying some clothes on in the fitting room, I realized that I had left my phone in my shopping cart right outside my fitting room. So I rushed, and ran to my cart Hoping I was wrong and just misplaced it; I searched urgently with no luck and finally asked the fitting room clerk who was standing right there watching me freak out if she had seen anyone take my phone. She replied no and my heart dropped with a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach (A month prior to this happening someone had stolen my iPhone 11, so I went out and bought myself a new iPhone 14. I only had it for maybe a week and then this happened to me again!) At this point I'm freaking out frantically searching through all my belongings and dumping out my whole purse as I'm sure some of women out there know what I'm talking about! couldn't find it anywhere so I decide to go to the customer service desk where I asked the lady at the desk if I could use there phone to call my phone, just to see if maybe I would be able to hear it ringing. I though maybe I left it down an isle or something. I really didn't want to believe that someone would just take it out of my cart. The lady at the desk said she couldn't let me use the phone, I looked at the security guard next to her and proceeded to ask him if I could use the phone to call my phone..Luckily I had my tablet with me so I went on "find my device" through Apple and it said it was still in the store. After literally no one would let me use there phone a different lady said ya that they could use the front desk phone to call my phone. So they Called it a few times..it wasn't any surprise that the situation could get any worse but it did and my phone either died or was turned off by someone because it just went straight to voicemail. Anyways I frantically was trying to find it but they were trying to close and wanted me to leave. you could tell no one really wanted to help me and they just wanted to go home..I did one last very fast sweep to the fitting room and back as security escorted me and kept repeating that I needed to leave. Crying and very distraught I grabbed all my stuff and left. 5 minutes later I realized that I had rode my bike there that night and I had left it parked inside the store to charge. I quickly ran back to the door and didn't see anyone but I started knocking on the glass door praying that someone was still in there and could hear me. A couple workers walked by and saw me and kept walking and a few more...pretty soon like 10 minutes later there was honestly close to 10 or 15 workers standing like 15-20ft away from the door in a group smiling and laughing some pointing..you could tell they were making jokes at the situation. I was trying to tell them through the door that I had left my bike inside and if I could grab it I could be on my way but they just sat there acting like they couldn't hear anything and definitely weren't trying to do anything about it. I was appalled and mortified honestly. It was seriously VERY embarrassing...I didn't understand how people who were clocked in and getting payed for their shifts as CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES could stand there and actually treat a customer or honestly even a human being like that...I couldn't even treat an animal the way I was treated. Heartless and cruel. I think that all of those people should have gotten fired for their actions that night, including the security guard who eventually ended up coming closer to the door to act like he was trying to hear or understand what I was trying to say but then shook his head no like he couldn't give me my bike back and that he couldn't help me. For a few minutes I actually truly thought that they were not going to give me my bike back which sadly is my only form of transportation at the moment but that's another story for a different time. After about 20 minutes of being messed with and basically harassed like what felt like a caged animal, he finally opened the door to reluctantly give me my bike back. Honestly long story short and the only real reason why I told myself that I should write this review is to bring awareness to people in the customer service industry. You can change someone's day in a minute just by your actions , for the worse or for the better. It's a job that should really be taken seriously and people should have some sort of training that comes along with it. Honestly that could have been the cherry on top..what if after that experience I went and killed myself??? All I wanted was to grab some warm clothes before the store closed. You never know what people are going through and it's so important to treat people with kindness. Be the change in this world. I wrote this because of how disgusted I was at the behavior of those staff members that night...young and old...BE THE EXAMPLE!!!...You could honestly save someone's life. read more

This target is so bad it is worth driving to Salinas or Marina to avoid (except for their pharmacy which for once is CVS that is not worse than hell itself, pharmacy staff there have always been excellent to me). I was excited to receive a soda stream for Christmas knowing that when my tanks were used up I could return them to Target to get them replaced. NOT!! Second time I've been to replace my Co2 just to be told they are out. Apparently they got a box last week and it's already gone! How's this for an idea, order more than one box!!! As last time, they told me I could buy a brand new one, why would I do that? Didn't offer to put me on a list or call me when they had replacements in. They do NOT care about the customer! Target is something else. I usually love target for their home decor section, especially now that they sell magnolia decor. For the past 6 months, they have not gotten any new pieces in their home decor section. It also has become very messy. They only have a few plates and candles and kitchen utensils and thats about it. The store (and bathroom) was REALLY clean and organized. They have a snack bar AND Starbucks. That was a first for me. Even the one in Anaheim didn't have a Starbucks. read more

This location has come a long way since the remodel. I can't convince my wife to go to the marina location anymore ever since we went to sand city. As I'm not familiar with the Monterey Bay area, Target was a good place to go to pick up a few things. Getting into and out of the parking lot was a bit crazy, with people pushing their way into the lane to get onto the highway. The store seemed well organized and the restroom was reasonably clean. They weren't exactly well stocked in the grocery area. The cashier was friendly but the lines were a bit long. read more
