I had ordered a toy for my son to be picked up. The toy turned out to be super popular and my first order was cancelled but this location had 2 left. I snagged them. Unfortunately I pulled my back trying to move a box. So my friend's husband picked up the item for me. He sent me a photo of item which was not I ordered. An employee switched out my sold out toy for a lower price one. They stole my item because I paid for the items and they took it replacing it with a cheaper item. I called the store but it rings twice and hung up on me all 13x I called. There are dishonest employees switching out customer's paid items. Can't even call them to vent. Avoid at all cost. I went to return an item without a reciept .not a big deal I've done it before . I waited for 5 min in front of the associate while she wasted time playing with a stapler . Then she felt it was time to call me over. I'm disabled and in pain on a walker it's not fair to make me stand. It was so weird of her not to say I'll be right with you . Upon showing her the return She called over a young man who was standing at the exiting door . He was literally standing slumped over the atm . He looked irratated. He walked over on a personal call on his cellphone I was help up 5 more minutes held hostage listening to his convo . He was speaking Spanish . He said something about me and it was rude! He complained about work etc He didn't know I speak Spanish as well. He picked up my item , After just looking at the item brand new in box he says no I can't return it I need to contact the person who gave it to me. I said your policy says I can return without receipt. He challenged me . He assured me they don't. I felt like it was personal . Target needs to check themselves. Every time I come to this store it's very hectic. There's always a lot of cars blocking the main entrance based on how they built the plaza. This is a pretty busy target overall. There's always a long line even for self check out. Customer service is very mediocre the usual type that you can expect at most places. Parking is not difficult to fine, because there is a very large parking lot. However close parking that's where the difficulty lies. Overall price points are pretty reasonable. They do have a wide selection of products ranging from grocery items, frozen items, healthcare items, toys, and electronics. read more

I had found a breast pump on target .com for a great price, and after it being sold out at two other locations, I called here and spoke to Brittany who was WONDERFUL and so very helpful. She went above and beyond to find the pump for me and put it on hold for me so I could pick it up later, which I did. I forget the name of the other lady that helped me, but everyone was very kind and helpful even though it was obviously insanely busy and they had a lot to do. I don't like that they make you bag your own stuff here. It's either pay the bag fee and the cashier will do it, or brIng your own bag and do it yourself. No other Bay Area Target that I have been to has this policy. I know this was common practice during Covid lockdown, but it isn't anymore. Target is the place to go to because no more K-Mart in Pinole. For sure this is better to go to than Walmart in Hilltop Mall. This location is getting busy daily. Even the self-check out it gotten longer lines than actually going to a register with a team member running it. When this open in 1996 this was the place that everyone went to. This was the first Target in the Bay Area before Richmond existed. Luckily I did not have to go to Vallejo for Target. Business gotten a lot better. Now you can order stuff online and pick it up. Mortified by the service I received tonight in Customer Service by Mary - mature lady w shoulder length brown hair & glasses (8:15P 12/21/20). I have never been treated this poorly, especially over $7 hand soap - tried returning a drive up purchase because I was given the wrong scent & was told "honey they wouldn't have give you the wrong one, they need to scan it." Well how do you prepose I got this soap then? She said "look honey I can't even begin to think or guess how you got this." NO eye contact, asked for my ID & handed me a credit. Decent sized Target - bigger than my usual go-to in SoCal. I came through for one thing and one thing only: a weighted shower liner with suction cups. It took a bit longer to find because the aisle it was in was a bit too cluttered. I was delighted to find it when I learned it was their own brand, that it was only $10 and it came with a 10% off discount with code HOME. Other than the aisle I was in, the store was generally clean and organized. And the use of the self-checkout was a breeze. Sadly, the quality of the liner was boo-boo: the suction cups ripped off very easily. I made the return at another Target store and explained why I was returning it as I was asked. I know they're not supposed to, but she recommended going to Bed, Bath and Beyond for that same item. This tells me she, as an employee, wasn't confident in the store's own brand. I'm a fan of Target because of their prices, costumer service and Red Card savings. Plus, their in-store and drive-up delivery is above others in the market. They always have my order ready in the two-hour window even during the holiday season, usually within 30 minutes for small orders. The reason for not giving a 5-star rating is that the customer service declines when they are busy. I was once told that they were too busy to answer a product question as the associate walked away. On another occasion, I was debating with an employee (I think a shift supervisor) who was sure she (or feminine man) could not cancel one item from my pick-up order, but had to cancel the entire order including the associated online discount I received. Not that it'll make a difference but this Target customer service is subpar. Been standing in a long, slow line for at least 15 minutes. One of only 3 lanes open at 5pm Friday. They finally think to open another lane as 4 people look around (and I'm sure the one with the walkie talkie is some sort of manager), deciding (debating) who's the "lucky" one to open a lane. UPDATE - 9/6/21: Target is STILL not on board. Went there yesterday to pick up an online order (am avoiding going into the store because of their past sloppy COVID measures). Was standing at the Returns/Pick-Up counter when one of the security guards came through the employee door, his mask hanging down around his neck, and walked past me and clear across the lobby area to where the carts are, and then disappeared into the main part of the store. With no mask coverage. By the security guy. Oh, the irony! Then a couple waiting in line behind me was wearing their masks completely below their noses. As they approached the counter to stand next to me, I asked the person behind the counter to ask the approaching couple to pull their masks up. He looked at them, looked at me, and said, "They're customers. I can't do that." Nice guy, great service; but Target's policy is crap. Target obviously makes its personnel stand directly in front of customers whose masks are pulled down, and the employees cannot say anything about the situation to the customers. And other customers are exposed as well. 6/24/19: Wow, this corporation is super sleazy. Never noticed until today that they BLOCK ONLINE PRICES if you're shopping in store. Flash drive showed $4.99 at Target.com (on cellphone at home). In store price was $7.49 so I asked for a price match at the register, and when I looked it up on my phone, It was $7.49. Thought I imagined it so i paid, and looked up the price when I got home. Yup, $4.99. What a rotten company!! This Target is so disappointing compared with others. Nearly every time i check inventory online and go into the store, they are out of stock - don't know why they even bother. They have discontinued some of my favorite, regular products; prices aren't very competitive, particularly food; products are disorganized, especially the beauty dept.; customer service desk is ok, but if you have a question that requires more than a "yes" or "no" answer, you may be out of luck. I walked to the back where the electronics are and the red head (Hispanic) girl that was back there chose to ignore me multiple times but attended multiple other people. I came up to customer service when I was FINALLY helped by the guy there (white guy, didn't catch his name), his coworkers were in absolutely no hurry to help him out with the situation and after one of the other employees (black guy, braids, burgundy shirt) found out.. he seemed severely inconvenienced to hear and help. This was my target store...I am checking out in the check out area and from the other side a manager is shouting out "no wick cards" as I'm trying to see which TARGET GIFT CARDS I had left with funds and 2 associates grab my attention and tell me I can't use Wick, I had to correct them and show them they are gift cards. I have nothing against wick but the fact the manager needed to shout from the other side was uncalled for! Very disappointed in the Drive Up Service I received last night. Went to pick up the $70 in cold medicine & materials I ordered only to have the drive up folks swipe my order as delivered and never come back out with my order. I waited a good 20 minutes, called guest services and nothing. I had to walk into the store where guest services had no line and weren't answering the phone. 2 days ago ..... I went to target (Pinole) and had a mask on, my partner didn't have a mask so we asked an employee for a mask. This target normally has mask available for customers. But The employee said they were out and that wearing mask is optional. I ended up asking another employee and the employee gave me one. It's like the Target customer service keeps getting worse. The big girl in customer service is so rude. I'm not sure what her deal is but it's like she makes up her own rules about couponing (because yes I checked the Target terms and conditions on the website), then simply claims it's up to the discretion of the store. Excuse me, since when did low level employees who hate their lives begin to run the store with an attitude? Oh wait. Are we talking about Walmart or Target? I will pick this Target ANY DAY over the Hilltop Mall WalMart. It's not a Super Target, so it would be unfair to compare it to that. This Target has a fair selection of things, is kept cleaner, and has much more expedient lines than you would find at said WalMart. Compared to other Targets of the same size, it probably gets worn down more quickly through the day. Also, parking when coming from the FoodMaxx, Burlington Coat Factory, or TJ Maxx side can be near impossible. However, the trick is to drive around the back side (between TJ Maxx and Toys R Us) or to come from the OSH side. My advice: don't try to park closer to the entrance than the CVS sign on the side of the Target. It's just too crazy with Sunday Drivers, slow pedestrians, and people who think it is okay to "wait for others" with their hazard lights on at the entrance. read more

Lately, I have become a frequent Target shopper and I am not sure why, especially because I know of other stores that have the things I need for cheaper. Target just has a "vacuum" vibe, always pulling me in. I always see something I want to buy, when I tell myself that I'm going in for a specific item. I get distracted and my creative juices start flowing. Target has slowly developed into my "go to" place for beauty products. I always stop by the beauty section and see how I can improve and develop my the "beauty" aspect in my life. This reason is also I gave this target a neutral rating. There have been a few occasions when I have checked online for a items in this store. The website says they have more than one of an item and when I go check in store the same day the item will not be there or if I order it online for a store pick up, I will be sent a message saying that the item is not in stock. Tat is slightly frustrating. However, I have noticed that they have one of the items I was looking for always stocked up now. I would like to take credit for that ahaha. The customer service could use some improvement here as well. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get, some associates are friendly others are not as friendly. I usually do my own thing unless I really can't find an item. I say all this only to say I still enjoy coming to this store the home decor & clothing selections are great. Frequent shopper at this Target, its close to home and convenient, on 2/7/2020 we did the norm, shop for our necessities, when it came time to paying for our items at the register this particular employee did something that was questionable, we usually supply our own bags to avoid the ones provided by target, WHY when she scanned our items did she pile them on top of the bags needed instead of bagging them?? Then when paying for it, she did not at least gesture to bag them??? Is this a new target policy? We ended up bagging our own items to avoid any issues, it was a long day and I'm avoidIng anything that causes high BP, haha.
