** Update ** After I posted the review below (on Google),…read morethey sent me a certified letter saying they would no longer be able to provide me with vision services... So the old: "You're not breaking up with me, I'm breaking up with you..!!" Well good for you Kennedy Vision. It's alway better to get rid of nosey customers that question the services you provide than to try to address those tough billing & poor service questions. I will still need time to grieve over this breakup though... sniff sniff.. ***************** 20+ years of coming to Kennedy Vision and now I am done. I have been coming to Kennedy Vision for over 20 years -since they were up in Elk River off School Street. This past summer I came in for my annual checkup, purchased a couple pair of glasses, and ran into a few issues. This was the very first time I questioned the service I received in 20+ years. I listed out my issues in an email and requested the email be forwarded to Dr. Rossow as I was hoping to bring awareness of the concerns from a long-time customer. Here's my interpretation of the email I got back from the "Director of Operations" when I questioned the confusing invoice, the quality of service I received from the office staff, their BOHO program and being charged double what was reasonable for what I purchased. "I'm not going to pass your concerns on to your Dr. Rossow because we don't want him to know we don't care if you're unhappy / dissatisfied and if you go somewhere else..." "Eye insurance is very confusing....and even though we have 100% control over making your bill / invoice less confusing, we're not going to do it" "Your just one person and we don't care if we loose one good customer - our business model allows for disgruntled customers because we overcharge so much" There's a lot more that I could say, but I will just wrap this up by saying they've lost my business...and my wife's business....and my three daughter's business....so I hope that extra $200 you got from me was worth it... * I am sure someone from Kennedy Vision will respond to this review and express their sincere apologies for my experience and state their commitment to customer service...but remember, that's only when I am posting a review for others to see. They had no interest in resolving my issues over multiple emails and phone calls... Only when people complain out-loud do they feel apologetic. No refunds on this review Kennedy Vision.... I sincerely apologize, but it's my policy...

My daughter and I came in for our appointment and from start to end it could of not felt so racist and filled with microaggressions, the tech was some blonde who was nothing but cold and and short with my daughter. The tech talked to my daughter in such a tone it felt so uneasy which come to find out my gut feeling was right! Reason being is when we got to looking at glasses the manager John could of not been so cold and rude! He said under his breath that my daughter and I were "being too picky" and that he "cant do this because he is getting annoyed" after hearing that I decided to pay extra close attention to him and the level of microaggressions the manger displaced to my daughter and I was just plane disgusting! I just received a great Christmas gift--the gift of sight--and it's all thanks to our wonderful…read moreoptometrist, Dr. Schwartz, at Albertville eye care! Last November, during my annual eye exam, he caught a microscopic abnormality in my left optic nerve--before he had even dilated my eyes. After months of tests and ruling out other things, the doctors at the U of M determined that it's an optic nerve sheath meningioma (tumor). Thanks to Dr. Schwartz's expertise, it was caught before any vision loss (the doctors were shocked as it's rarely detected before the patient has symptoms). After radiation treatments and my follow-up MRI yesterday, I am so thankful that the tumor shrank a little and I only have very minor vision loss. This would not have been possible without Dr. Schwartz and I will never be able to thank him enough for blessing our family with not only top-notch, hometown care, but for saving my eyesight (and more). While I didn't plan to share this much on a public page, I couldn't explain how awesome Dr. Schwartz is without sharing some of my experience. I highly recommend him, as does our whole family. Thank you so much, Dr. Schwartz! :) I posted this review on some other local pages last November about my visit then: "It's so wonderful to be able to get top-notch care without leaving the STMA community. I had my annual eye checkup with the awesome Dr. Schwartz at Albertville Eye Care. He is attentive, professional, and fosters a relaxing environment. He noticed my optic nerve was swollen. He did more tests and was patient and understanding and laughed with me while I researched it on the Mayo Clinic and WebMD wesbites. His assistants, Mandy and Jill, are always so friendly and go above and beyond to make us feel like so much more than patients."

Now I am stuck with Bright Eyes and I am unable to get medical records from them because they don't answer the phone or return calls. It is like fraud, they lured me in for my eye exam and then pretended I was even alive. I am filing a complaint with the Minnesota Board of Medical practice were I used to work.
