** Update ** After I posted the review below (on Google),…read morethey sent me a certified letter saying they would no longer be able to provide me with vision services... So the old: "You're not breaking up with me, I'm breaking up with you..!!" Well good for you Kennedy Vision. It's alway better to get rid of nosey customers that question the services you provide than to try to address those tough billing & poor service questions. I will still need time to grieve over this breakup though... sniff sniff.. ***************** 20+ years of coming to Kennedy Vision and now I am done. I have been coming to Kennedy Vision for over 20 years -since they were up in Elk River off School Street. This past summer I came in for my annual checkup, purchased a couple pair of glasses, and ran into a few issues. This was the very first time I questioned the service I received in 20+ years. I listed out my issues in an email and requested the email be forwarded to Dr. Rossow as I was hoping to bring awareness of the concerns from a long-time customer. Here's my interpretation of the email I got back from the "Director of Operations" when I questioned the confusing invoice, the quality of service I received from the office staff, their BOHO program and being charged double what was reasonable for what I purchased. "I'm not going to pass your concerns on to your Dr. Rossow because we don't want him to know we don't care if you're unhappy / dissatisfied and if you go somewhere else..." "Eye insurance is very confusing....and even though we have 100% control over making your bill / invoice less confusing, we're not going to do it" "Your just one person and we don't care if we loose one good customer - our business model allows for disgruntled customers because we overcharge so much" There's a lot more that I could say, but I will just wrap this up by saying they've lost my business...and my wife's business....and my three daughter's business....so I hope that extra $200 you got from me was worth it... * I am sure someone from Kennedy Vision will respond to this review and express their sincere apologies for my experience and state their commitment to customer service...but remember, that's only when I am posting a review for others to see. They had no interest in resolving my issues over multiple emails and phone calls... Only when people complain out-loud do they feel apologetic. No refunds on this review Kennedy Vision.... I sincerely apologize, but it's my policy...

My daughter and I came in for our appointment and from start to end it could of not felt so racist and filled with microaggressions, the tech was some blonde who was nothing but cold and and short with my daughter. The tech talked to my daughter in such a tone it felt so uneasy which come to find out my gut feeling was right! Reason being is when we got to looking at glasses the manager John could of not been so cold and rude! He said under his breath that my daughter and I were "being too picky" and that he "cant do this because he is getting annoyed" after hearing that I decided to pay extra close attention to him and the level of microaggressions the manger displaced to my daughter and I was just plane disgusting! She already had cataract surgery so did not need glasses. I was very upfront with what I was looking for, and I asked upfront if I needed to stop in to sign a release or anything so they could pull her medical records from a prior provider. They told me "no, that is not necessary". We had an appointment on 7/30 and I asked for an updated prescription for Lumigan/Bimataprost. Dr. Hurley advised he would have us sign a release and once they got her previous records they would call us back. No call for a week. Okay. So I call on 8/10. They didn't have her medical records yet, I don't think they even reached out. Told me to call back tomorrow since the Dr was out. I call back at 8/11. They tell me the Dr Hurley will call me back. No call back. I try back on 8/13 ... they will have the Dr Hurley call me back. Still no call back. On 8/20 I gave up, scheduled an appointment with West Metro Ophthalmology (Who were great, AND got her medical records Before the appointment). They did FINALLY call me back on 8/30 at 9am but only because they read my google review. I am convinced they just did not care because we were not buying glasses so they didn't see enough $$$$.

I was educated about every step of my exam and even got to see images of my retina! I didn't feel rushed at all and he really took the time to explain his findings and to answer all my questions. Kimberly helped me pick out my frames and suggested enhancements to prevent breakage (which is a necessity with a 9 month old!). All in all a 10/10 experience, I highly recommend Crystal Vision Clinic!

MN FRAUD! MN FRAUD! - Routine vs Medical coding--read this carefully and thoroughly about their…read morebilling and coding practice. I scheduled my annual routine eye check-up with a $10.00 co-pay. Note: I'm not having any issues but scheduled my annual & routine eye check up. At the appointment they start by doing some standard tests and then the DR does their normal and routine tests. If they don't find any eye issues, I only pay the $10.00 co-pay. However, (little did I know) if they find an eye condition they automatically change this to a medical appointment which now costs $65.23. Here is my complaint. The only thing different is them telling me about the condition of my eyes. So instead of saying your eyes are perfect and come back in a year they tell you about an eye condition, they'll keep an eye on it and come back in a year. Is this not the purpose of a check up is to find out the condition of your eyes. Let me repeat: Nothing (no tests, eye checks) was done different from it being a $10.00 visit to a $65.23 visit except they TOLD me about a situation with my eye. There was absolutely no additional work done during that appointment. When I have my dental check-ups they tell me the condition of my teeth. If they find work that needs to be done they don't go back and charge me for the check up. We move forward with my treatment plan. United Health Care said they pay according to the code the doctor's use. The Eye Care Clinic changing this to medical billing generates more money for them and more out of pocket for the customer. Be aware of how they code your visit: medical or routine
