Note: I'm not having any issues but scheduled my annual & routine eye check up. At the appointment they start by doing some standard tests and then the DR does their normal and routine tests. If they don't find any eye issues, I only pay the $10.00 co-pay. However, (little did I know) if they find an eye condition they automatically change this to a medical appointment which now costs $65.23. Here is my complaint. The only thing different is them telling me about the condition of my eyes. So instead of saying your eyes are perfect and come back in a year they tell you about an eye condition, they'll keep an eye on it and come back in a year. Is this not the purpose of a check up is to find out the condition of your eyes. Let me repeat: Nothing (no tests, eye checks) was done different from it being a $10.00 visit to a $65.23 visit except they TOLD me about a situation with my eye. There was absolutely no additional work done during that appointment. When I have my dental check-ups they tell me the condition of my teeth. If they find work that needs to be done they don't go back and charge me for the check up. We move forward with my treatment plan. United Health Care said they pay according to the code the doctor's use. The Eye Care Clinic changing this to medical billing generates more money for them and more out of pocket for the customer. A family member suggested I visit St Anthony Eye Clinic because they had also had a pair of purchased-elsewhere glasses adjusted there at no cost. Because I had been a patient for many years, I stopped in and politely asked whether they might be able to help me adjust one of the arms, which was loose, and which I'd been having trouble tightening on my own. The woman who met me at the door was polite and said they'd be happy to help, but the person I spoke with at the optical counter (an older woman with short hair and glasses) rudely rebuffed me, sneeringly saying that they won't touch glasses they didn't sell without a $40 fitting fee. After handling my glasses she shoved them back at me without wiping them off or apologizing for the inconvenience or cost. Ten to twenty dollars I could understand, but to charge a patient of 10+ years $40 to tighten the loose arm on a pair of glasses is extortionate, and the attitude was galling. I was really taken aback by how dismissive and rude this person was. I left the office feeling humiliated and upset. If they couldn't offer the service at a reasonable cost, that's their prerogative, but as a small business working with seemingly locale clientele, a little kindness and basic courtesy would go a long way, and it was disappointing to encounter the lack of it. I wouldn't recommend St. Anthony Optical to anyone after this experience.

She was very thorough in testing my vision and helping me understand the different lens types to accommodate the presbyopia I've recently started experiencing. I also have dry eyes, which introduces another complication when choosing frames. This clinic is one of the only providers of 7eye frames (for dry eyes) in the twin cities, and Dr. Ko was very patient, taking the time to ensure I understood all of my options before choosing a frame. She also has a wealth of holistic knowledge about dry eyes and was able to provide useful insight around treatments, etc. The entire staff was very kind, friendly, and professional. They're really empathetic and dedicated to providing the best service possible.

I have a picture of her walking around with no shoe and a recording of her screaming at me. Then when I asked them to send me my prescription THREE times they refused....then send me it after I told them ITS LAW they gave to send it to me, it was a prescription for readers!!!! How did my eyes go from +2.00 and +3.00 10 years ago to almost perfect how?! Then they sent me a bill saying I owed more because they didn't take my insurance and argued with me saying they never checked and blah blah. Worst people I've ever encountered and the place is a mess!
