Great and clean optometry department! The woman receptionist I talked with was very kind and knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions regarding my benefits and scheduling. They are flexible and even allow you to reschedule in less than 24 hours if something came up (the man receptionist I talked with, however, was not too knowledgeable and did not know how to use their own system and kept hanging up the call that I had to keep calling to book another appointment). Their pricing was also very competitive and was relatively lower than the contacts fitting in the LA area, and they also price match with 1800 contacts! The optometrist was also knowledgeable and kind and gave me tips on eye care along with a solution and case. When they did not have my brand of contacts, she gave me another brand so I can have a fresh pair to try on! Additionally, the location is very convenient and you can show while you wait. Great location - if there is an option, I would like to give 2.5 stars. I love Target optical and I've been using it forever. I've been to other Target opticals but this location is not the best. I brought all my family members here and met a few different optometrists but they were rushing and impatient except one who moved to another city. I had an appt at 10 am i arrived at 10:10 the Hispanic lady advised you have a 10 mins grace period not sure if i will be able to be seen . I arrived at 10:10 she goes to the back advised sorry unfortunately you cannot be seen and will have to reschedule. As i walk to my car search online i notice it was an available appt at 10:40 i called the optometry clinic the same lady that told me nothing was available answers the phone, when i mention this to her she stated i didn't mean that It wasn't any availability for today I advised her that's what you stated(reasoning of me leaving) . First thing her communication and service was horrible , online it doesn't advise if any grace period for customer to be aware. Secondly for good customer service she should have advised me sorry for the inconvenience if you would like to reschedule we have different time frames for today. Amazing Doctor! Loved being able to go see my optometrist and she was amazing! Made me feel comfortable and made excellent recommendations. Was asked to test the new lens for a few days. After three days, I placed a call to the center for to confirm the lense was great and to confirm my order, almost a month later no call. I finally called them to get an update on the status of my order only to learn that the order was never placed. Furthermore, making it seem like it was an error on my part. Not a big deal, although I didn't have any contact lenses left, they placed the order and said they would have it to me at the latest Weds. My appt was at 4pm. I have been waiting for 45 min to see someone. The manager is rude and unhelpful. They have no recourse for the doctor being late . Be kind to your customers. Make things right. Don't come here and expect courteous management. ***Update: the doctor called me personally to speak to me regarding the issues with management. I appreciate that so much. There was zero issue with the doctor. I would recommend her but when the management and front office is rude it shines light on the Practice. I don't plan to use Target Optical again. The office staff seems to be at odds with one another and the doctor. Things are not organized and I don't understand how they are a mess after 8 years in a well established company. Apparently my glasses have been ready for two weeks and I haven't received an email nor a call. I called them after two weeks and they weren't ready and was asked with a rude tone if I received a text. At the end of the conversation the representative informed me that I should be waiting on a text... I still haven't received one. I decided to check my receipt and track my order. And my second appointment after I made an appointment online with Dr. Lam she called me and asked me what's the purpose of my visit. I told her what it was and told me I didn't need the appointment with Dr.Lam for that and she could take care of it so no need an appointment just walk in. As soon as I walked in, she recognized me and helped me with getting a pair of my new glasses! She is so knowledgeable how to pick the right glasses and the advise she gave me was something that I was never told before at other optical so I was able to pick the right glasses for me!! Literally the worst experience I've had at an optometrist. I had to stop wearing my glasses back in December because I started getting really bad headaches. When I stopped wearing my glasses, my headaches became minimal. Dr Lam tried to gaslight me into believing that my prescription did not change and that my bad headaches weren't caused by my glasses. He also told me that he wanted to "do some retests to see if [I] give consistent answers." I'm an adult who has been wearing glasses for nearly 7-8 years. I do a lot of reading all day, and I just want to be able to see. I don't need Dr Lam indirectly accusing me of lying. Also, make sure you ask the Latina lady up front to itemize your bill before you pay. I told her exactly what I wanted, just normal polycarbonate lenses with the blue light blocker. She initially charges me nearly $200, again just for lenses, not frames and lenses. Turns out she decided I wanted the top tier polycarbonate lenses. Magically, the price went down $80. Don't waste your time, go somewhere else. read more

I was shopping for misc household consumables today and saw this Optical Office as I passed by the hand soap aisles. I walked in and one of the friendliest representatives asked me if I needed help. She was nice, helpful and pretty stylishly hip - as if she worked somewhere posh like the stores a few miles north or anywhere other than a grocery store! I wondered aloud if they take insurance and then immediately wondered what insurance I even have. She quickly looked up my insurance and confirmed that I have great coverage and what remainder isn't covered would be heavily discounted. For example, she said that frames are covered up to $75 and then I'd either get 30% off the balance or 40% if I also ordered contacts. For contacts, she said up to $105 is covered and the balance would be eligible for coupons and other seasonal discounts. The representative said that the coverage value is lower than what you'd get at a private optometrist but the prices are lower at Target. She also said that the discounts on the balance make Target a better deal overall. The frame selection is narrower than what you'd expect with a normal optometrist's office with walls and walls of options. There are not as many super elite brands - come on, this is Target after all. But they do have Coach, Armani Exchange and a few other big accessible luxury brands. She said many of the frames are manufactured with Target in mind since Target owns or partners with Lens Crafters and a couple of other OEMs. The selection seems good enough for me - I walked around for a few minutes in my own. And the nice representative also pulled a dozen more for me to try on. I'm a bit of a picky customer when it comes to frame specs: must not be shiny finish, must be wide framed for wider set eyes, must have nose pieces to accommodate a nonexistent (Asian) nose ridge, must not touch my cheery cheeks, must look work-acceptable trendy without being grandma or hipster... I think you get my drift - I'm picky and the selection seemed varied and broad enough to meet my needs. Perhaps you will find as much luck here too. I made appointments for both my hubby and I - so we will see how the lens and exams work out! Re appointments, Target Optical sends text confirmations and reminders. I managed to destroy my only pair of glasses on a Saturday night (don't ask), checked out my options on Sunday morning, and had an appointment set for Sunday afternoon at 2:20pm. Freddy was an exemplary representative, answering every question with fantastic detail and a stellar customer service experience. Dr Lam is absolutely a genius and explained everything so well about the examination and my new prescription that I feel like I have a PhD after spending 20 minutes during our consultation. The technology for scanning and immediate review WITHOUT dilation was amazing. If I could give an 11/10 score, I would. Absolutely incredible how much technology has progressed in the past couple years, and this place is on the cutting edge! This place is great. (note: I did not get an eye exam at this location, but I did fulfill my prescription here). That being said, I was attended to by two team members on two separate days. The first was able to explain in detail what was needed to have a prescription fulfilled. Unfortunately I did not have the needed material at the time so I had to plan a second visit. (fyi: she was very nice and went over some pricing with me). At my second visit I was assisted by Sandra. She was very easy to communicate with. She explained in greater detail what my prescription read, and also assisted me with my insurance company questions and placed the order for me. Do not order from them. They have their lenses made from a Italian company. I have been taken for $700 and after a month and being told o had to cancel my first prescription I had to cancel that order and place a new one. I fell for it and they got me twice. It is a contacted company through Target. It's not really Target doing the optical. I called corporate Target and expected them to remedy the problem. They did not care. I have been taken. Please be careful. Very few labs are actually state side for multifocal. If you need a strong or complicated prescription ask the optometrist where the lab is. Don't be practically blind and broke at the hands of Target optical. read more

Dr. is also really good too however he needs to improve the air ventilation system in his office especially with Covid. He has a small Vornado $10 fan in the corner with a lot of dust. The office staff was nice when I went in for the first time. I even told them that they were great and super attentive. The doctor was good too and I felt he was very educated in his field. All that aside...I received my first pair of glasses EVER today and they are fit for a 3 headed alien!! I cannot believe it. The glasses fall off and are not able to be worn. It is soooo evident that they are huge when I whip them out to show my coworkers, I DON'T EVEN NEED TO PUT THEM ON...YOU CAN TELL FROM FAR AWAY THAT THE FRAMES ARE SEVERLY MISSHAPEN...I DONT GET IT !! I CANNOT BELIEVE NOT ONE PERSON NOTICED. SO~ I CALL THE OFFICE and noone picks up the phone, it goes right to a "noone is available" canned computer voice.That's it, no information that I even dialed the right phone #! How unprofessional, I mean, the doctor's office is in the optical center...gimme a break! IF I was the doctor, I would be livid. And if I was the manager, I'd be hurrying up to correct that serious mistake of the phone and maybe get one of your 3 staff members to answer the CALLS????. HMMMM, TICK TOCK TICK TOCK... and now we play the waiting game. CHECK OUT THE PICS. APPARENTLY I have a big ol' goiter on the left side of my head and on my right is it's first cousin. Both my Mom and son have seen Dr Lam and were very pleased by his thorough exam and kind bedside manner. After spending 20 minutes looking for an ideal frame without luck, Dr Lam came out and chose the most perfect frame for my son.
